Love the content... almost instantly subscribed!!! Keep it up... 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
That’s one of the nicest comments I’ve ever gotten, I really appreciate it 🤝🏻
@Bmstaudy you're welcome... I'm a huge fan of the C5 vettes... and the C5 Z06... so... you instantly caught my attention... continued success 🙌🏽
@ you as well, hope nothing but the best
Good job on the info. We used to call it God's Motor in the early 2000s. Hit me up if you have questions with editing.
Thank you, is there a different app I can reach you on
Keep it up bro you definitely got me hooked
Appreciate you, this video took almost 10 hours to make so this comment goes a long way
@ honestly as a huge Chevy enthusiast I’m sad there isn’t more video to watch commentary is on point for sure again man keep it up can’t wait to see more uploads, also the yellow C5 is cleannnnnn I personally want a black C5 Z06.
I started the next video, should be done next Friday, I hope you get one it’s definitely worth it!
Cool ride. Any issues with the windshield and the Po Po????
Thank you, and no it is a concern though. I bought the car with the tinted windows
@ well it looks great hope they leave you alone!!!! Bad ass ride.
I hope so too, thank you I love my car! Also thanks for commenting and watching the video!
An auto would be way faster
@@popiwatv 100% but I love driving manual a lot more
2000 Mag Red Conv. / Nice car … love color, thx for video. Where did you get WIND SCREEN? Does it work?
Sounds like a beautiful car, and my uncle found it online for a couple hundred dollars. He said he’s very happy with it
Yep I'll be buying 1 of these this weekend!!! Elderly owned
You won’t regret it, also beautiful 6th gen
@Bmstaudy ikr, I've owned the 5.3 monte ss and the GXP but this will be my 1st Lacrosse Super...and thanks I barely drives my 6gen..Lol
@Bmstaudy and damn...my homeboy and his wife have twin TBSS's like yours!!
@ I loved that truck, but sold it after it threw a rod
@ what engine does the 6th gen have
Yep, I Love my 2019🎉
@@MeTubing amazing bikes
Beautiful car, love the millennium yellow. I too have a 03 C-5 in yellow. Your best mods are great, up until the last two. A lowered vette is only good on the track. Looks great, but isn't practical on the street. And long tube headers don't gain that much power on a stock engine. On a modified engine it does make power, but at a cost of engine heat, low clearance issues, and the annoying header tick. BTW, when you lower your ride, you need a four wheel alignment.
I wanted every mod to be different that’s why I said suspension and something that would change the sound, thanks for commenting!
Stickier tires, stiffer shocks, relocate the battery to the trunk.
@@joels6736 it has stiff coilovers all around, and a sub in the back I’m thinking about getting some stickier tires this upcoming year
Im looking to purchase 1 of these this week...Elderly owned!! Still in decent shape also
I would definitely recommend. Make sure it shifts as it should and there’s no lifter tick and you should be fine
@Bmstaudy yep that's the 1st thing I checked...runs and shifts smooth as butter!! 138k Miles...old guys family is selling it after he passed like 6months ago and the son says it only moves when they have to cut grass
@ sounds like a great car, keep me updated on it!
Have you pushed and held the traction control button? It should go into competition mode…
Yeah I did a run off camera and timed it and spun a lot more, it was like a 6+ second 0-60😂
@@Bmstaudy LOL ok I was watching and I didn't hear you mention it probably need sticker tires
@DIYKAI yeah I just bought these Mickey Thompson street comps but I should went with some semi slicks or slicks I’m thinking about buying an extra set on rims
@@Bmstaudy me too I need a second set
Got a 04 C5 literally the easiest car to work on and cheap to maintain
@@DIYKAI 100% me and my dad did all the work ourselves, like I mentioned in the video this was kind of an oddball and wouldn’t happen often. Also I bought a lot of tools we didn’t have and bought the “while you’re in there” parts
@@Bmstaudy I agree just did my poor man's z06 suspension upgrade lol.....hopefully my dad and kid will help me build something new this winter the Vette is going into the garage don't like her to be outside or cold LOL. Good video subbed also
@@DIYKAI thank you I really appreciate it! I just put the z06 away on Wednesday, what all have you done to the vette?
@ intake, full exhaust x pipe, tunnel plate, ssbrake lines, msd wires, coils, & power harness, z06 shocks, and some poly sway bushings and leaf pucks, the rest is cosmetic I did a few videos so far want to mild cam it over the winter
@ oh wow, I didn’t realize you made videos I’ll definitely check it out and I subbed as well!
I have a coupe now and want a z very badly but shelling out 25-30 just seems like a ton especially for how many other cars you can get for that range
I think it’s well worth it, but that’s why I made this video. Future owners can determine if it’s worth it to them or not. I love the username btw
Competitive Driving mode turns off traction control but leaves Active Handling on, so you can do fun burnouts without imitating a crowd-hungry mustang.
I love this comment 😂

Vettes rule!
@@todd8928 you got that right, thanks for watching 🤝🏻
poop
You’re so handsome
Manufacturers and car magazines quote 0-60 with 1 foot rollout. That significantly drops their 0-60 times. 4.6 is closer to 4.3 with 1-foot rollout. The Dragy history will tell you 0-60 with 1 foot rollout, but you’ll have to look for it. But yes, traction is your main problem.
@@texsquirrel213 you’re right I meant to mention that in the video but it completely slipped my mind. Dragy said 4.36, I was thinking about doing a video like this in the spring or fall next year when the DA is substantially better, as I do believe this car is capable of getting deep into the threes. Thanks for watching, and commenting👍🏻
Looking good! I Subbed!
Thanks I appreciate you, more than you know!
Keep the videos coming. C5Z06 owner here, too, with some content on my channel. Keep up the good work!

@Bmstaudy thanks. It's getting some good parts thrown at it. Gonna do an engine build with the C5.R block, too.
Can you do a video like this but for a green Kia soul
I don’t even know how I would come up with the money for a car of that status

@@enkidugilgamesh9686 thanks, and this was built by lingenfelter back in ‘05 and it was a great deal so i pulled the trigger!
@@Bmstaudy i see, well it seems like a great build so yeah enjoy it!
@@enkidugilgamesh9686 thank you I appreciate it!
The Trick to launching these cars was Bias Ply tires that would Bite and Dump the Clutch at 5000 RPM and you would Disappear in a Cloud of Smoke and would do rolling burnouts into second gear , I remember looking at the Speedometer that said 110 MPH but I was only going about 50 MPH with tires spinning and smoke pouring into the car !
Sounds like a good time might have to talk to my uncle about that

That takeoff from the roundabout 👌
Wait till you hear it in person
Man yellow is actually pretty beautiful
Thank you it even sometimes looks almost orange-ish when the sun starts going down
where did you find the struts? tried 2 dealers and all say FE4 struts discontinued. please let me know thanks
Yeah I think you have to buy them used or get very lucky the guy that sold me the car said they were very hard to come across
Two extra taillights.
My dad bought a 67 back in 1970. I have it now. He bought it with the extra taillights. He said some of the dealers installed them back then. Upstate NY. Don't know which dealer it came from.
@@paultrouskie1825 That's great! There were 63' Coup owners that modified the "Split" and put in the 64' full window. Who knew? lol I'm sure you cherish your dad's 67. Beautiful Vette.

@@kyleleigeb6149 thank you, you’re awesome
You mentioned the tranny. Yes, the 4T65E-HD is absolute junk for our cars. But, it is my speculation GM was going to put the 4T80E from the Northstar in it had the thing sold more than it did. The fact is, all but one bolt location aligns to the LS4 and is achived with a clamp provided in the aftermarket. With a 4T80 swap, the Super can have enormous HP and torque increases that make it a beast. That is on my road map soon.
I hear about a lot of people doing that, if you end up doing it keep me updated I would love to see that!!
I have one and I can tell you that one is definitely tired. I can hear it plain as day.
@@deanlong7995 very doubtful, I’ve put 10k on it already with not a single hiccup, but thanks for the comment
@@Bmstaudy Really? It sounds like it can't breathe when it needs to double down during the launch. It's very different than mine.
Also, do you still have the factory mufflers? Those were tuned for Grandpa and Grandma back in the day. A set of free flowing (not straight piped) mufflers will open it up a bit might do the trick. It helped mine a lot.
@@deanlong7995 I don’t have any mufflers lol it makes it sound quite a bit nicer
@@deanlong7995 I think I need to clean out my air filter
I actually have a Buick Lucerne super.... And it is just a wonderful beast.... Buick has a habit of making these monsters that nobody knows about and are very hard to find...... What I like is that Buick makes them look so plain that their viciousness hides in plain sight..... It is the perfect sleeper..... I have also been looking for a Buick LaCrosse super but they are so hard to find..... They are not quick off the line but once you put them on the highway the beast comes out.... I love how you can put these on the highway and they can break a hundred easy.... Without breaking a sweat.... And they do it so quietly..... Like silent killers..... I only need two more to complete the trinity..... The Lucerne super... The LaCrosse super... And the GNX...... These are Buicks I Dare you cars 👍👍👍☠️☠️☠️💪💪💪
I always liked the Lucerne supers, these cars really make the perfect daily driver. Whenever I need to replace this car I’m going to look at buying a 2018-20 regal gs
He mentioned that it is a numbers matching car, but he didn’t mention it is not 100 percent stock, namely the added pair of taillights. But I suppose that’s obvious and doesn’t need mentioning.
That is one beautiful Corvette. Thanks for the video and I applaud your Corvette history and knowledge. Keep up the good work.

@@GregorioLonewolf which is your favorite?
@@Bmstaudy They all had their good points. The 70, 73 and 87 I did all my own work and customized them to my liking which was fun to do. Once I got the 95 it was cool but I also knew that much work was going to be needed that my skills, being old school wasn't going to cut it. Then I spied onto the 2000 and within 24 hours I was driving it home. The broker bought my 95 and I was on my way. Four years later the same broker had my Z for sale and I worked out the same deal. Except this time in 12 hours. I wasn't joking and when I told my wife about the Z all she had to say was, it's your money do what you want to. I did. I'm thinking about my next Vette being a C6 Z06 but not until I'm ready to move on as I'm loving my Z right now.
I was going to go the c6z route but as young as I am it wasn’t the best decision
5.5 to 60 is legitimately quick.
I agree best I could do on my other video was a 6.26 but that’s with not the best tires I could definitely see a high 5 with better grip
