It's fun to hear how these guys got started in the game.
Could you address what is a burn deck
@@arjil2012 sure! A burn deck typically is going to gain lore through card effects and locations more so than typical questing
Interviews are the way. 🎉
Sound effects are crazy 🤣
It Calls Me counter at some extend Maui Shark, for only 1 cost.
great video! keep doing videos like this!
In humza we trust
We used to face him every set champs lol. Also on normal events 😅
@@austinbulmer7800 that must have been tough he’s an incredibly strong player
@JDZQuest yes he was, but that's how we all got better lol playing some of the best.
Great video and content! Love seeing these interviews.
Great vid JDZ keep it up brother.
@@majobasil let’s gooo! Thanks for watching!!
Im just glad that Ravensburger said that they are aware of the situation and are investigating it.
JDZ is the definition of wholesome and cozy, always bringing the good vibes!
How does that rule breakdown of the bag play into emerald chromicon and a be prep? I was be prepared and was told I do not get to trigger chromicon bounes. Or should I have been able to bounce some characters to safety? Is this not like Hades who gives lore when your guys get banished?
Can someone break it down to me like I’m 4? Lmao
Confirmation - Jessie wasnt aware he could appeal. Saying to stay calm during an high profile game is like telling an ADHD person to keep still. You gotta practice and learn to keep calm under pressure (not meant to be mean but understanding its harder than you think)
I wouldn't say this situation was legal at all. The judges were inexperienced and Clement the Cheater knew the play was legal but pushed his agenda. DKP has seen the play and confirmed (on X) that Jesse didn't pass the turn, so the effect was still in the bag and was resolved correctly. A few minutes earlier there was a play with the white rose + broom, which went exactly the same way - the only difference was that Clement didn't have a shark on board (only a Tipo) so it was to his benefit that the broom was saced.
No that situation was cooked but I’m saying rule sharking is technically legal but it should not happen
Just came here to say that your streams are very fun and entertaining, thank you brother!
@@AsteroidTVGaming yooo! Much love some day I’ll get it down 100% and be able to upload the vods
Okay, so i must play devils advocate here. Why didnt jesse resolve broom first and goat 2nd, if he did clement has 0 window to even try to rule shark here. I know thats a hot take and people wont like it, but he opted to make a line that clement had a window to argue, resolve broom first and clement cant say a word about it.
@@ShaunReeser-d5e this is for sure something he could have done but either way the turn player gets to decide how the triggers resolve but that could be a great way to prevent these situations
Man deserves a ban or less fingers.
So sad we even have to have this discussion. The Lorcana community being "nice" ends up being an easy mark for sharks. Definitely good looking out so we don't confuse kindness for naivete
It is incredibly unfortunate situation and I hope this is just an isolated incident and not the new normal
Where's the cheapest spot to get set 7 cases on the cheap! N don't say lgs they sharks
JDZ! You putting me on game big dog. Im new to TCGs period so I appreciate you.
Have yet to even play in a tourney but 📈
@@hunghuynh4201 let’s gooooo welcome and happy questing
really happy with how you're presenting things, man. just saying 'this is how i understand it, this is how you can protect yourself' stay positive, man. loving the content.
So glad to see this getting traction within the community. What happened to jesse was ridiculous and i hope rb are aware of the situation and take action to prevent it in future dlcs. Least rb can do is reward jesse with a golden mickey and an apology. #justiceforjesse
Your content has been on point Good job
Great video
Great VIdoe Jdz
lorcana judges need some work if theyre gonna let an obvious sharking take place like that
Sharking must not be incentivized or rewarded. This is bad overall for the game. Coming from MTG, your game dies with a room full of Sharks, referring to this 2y old youtube video by Nikachu called "MTG Cheater Cheats MTG Cheater". I hope RB takes action against Clement.
@@Burnoo111 I agree 1000% the fastest way to kill a game is by losing faith in the judge program and promoting this behavior
Thanks! Always appreciate your point of view.
A great video. You and I both are trying to climb up the YT lorcana scene, very happy to support you and the great content you make. This can really help save a lot of players especially because this is probably their first TCG.
@@The-Silent-Knight for sure! If it becomes something that’s cool but I’m having a good time with the game and making some videos along the way
I dunno if what i did was rule sharking since yesterday I had a guy who couldn't or didn't know that if you bounce a goat from the libary you can't draw a card but I told him it wasn't possible, and he needed to put the card underneath the deck since he drew it... but i guess I should of just called the judge.
@@oOoJudeoOo for sure anytime information is added to the game that wasn’t suppose to be there the judge should be brought in but most of the time it’s just going to be what you did and maybe a warning to your opponent but that’s not rule sharking at all
In all previous turns Jesse passes turns with a hand jesture (unknown is that had verbal confirmation also). None was given here and the Vicious Cheater got his way
Please can someone explain what Jesse did *wrong* I cant see why... Whats the damn diff between banishing broom before or after righting the damn lore? Please someone explain.
That's why there is such outrage, Jesse did nothing wrong. Clement used the fact they had inexperienced judges around to his favor to allow him an edge to eventually win a game he was slowly starting to lose.
@@Endless10p Jesse literally did nothing wrong goat and broom are both in the bag an the active player can determine when the effects come out. The shark was Jesse allegedly didn’t declare brooms effect before triggering goats effect which may have interpreted as a missed trigger however that is still incorrect because you as the active player would have to state not triggered effect or move on to another phase of play which he did not do
@@JDZQuest oh boy, I can see some mental issues going on with Clement. Poor soul… And thanks for the info!
@@JDZQuest My problem is looking at the definition keyword "When" aka at the time so goat effect should take first regardless of what comes first he still needed to tally that 1 lore. Jesse got the lore but couldnt resolve the effect of brooms because the judge is made a terrible call. Not only Clement should be called out and banned from future DLC, the judge as well and both should receive either bans or Fines for making a big event mistakes. Should honestly put the Judge on blast as well
Glad to see you covering this!
💬 Have you ever dealt with rule sharking? Share your experiences in the comments!
The third link in the description is not correct JDZ, the "I'll" is added at the end
Watched it live with you and everyone is the stream was like WTF. Such a scummy move. Also appreciate the free gifts… P0rkch0q
I get so nervous when I play with people I don't know. Great step by step to navigate these situations!!
@@BeRQuest the secret is everyone does! And 99.99% of the time your opponent will be super courteous and kind and as you play more these feeling will subside!
Great video. Its unfortunate that this happened to necessitate a video but it is worth covering!
The judge call for the broom in DLC Australia is immature and unacceptable. The guy that lost this game should get an world's invite as a compensation. Jesse should be able to get the prizes he lost.
@@Stamorassos I would agree with this he should receive a golden Mickey at a minimum and I personally would not be upset if he was also invited
@@JDZQuestI agree with the Mickey, disagree with the invite. If anything the invite should go to the person that lost to him in t4 or you have to make Jesse and the t4 opponent play for the invite!
Reportedly, the team that included the sharking player did this all day in Melbourne. This probably would not have been effective with a more competent judge pool. I really hope Ravensburger ups their judge training, qualification and compensation systems to ensure that the judge pool is competent and consistent so this toxic behavior cannot take over the competitive scene.
I have full faith they will get a judge program in the next competitive season it’s beyond needed
What team name? We need substantiate reports of that behavior to ban them
Clement is the worst human being
DLC Australia is a great cautionary tale of how to properly protect yourself in a tournament. You need to tap your ink before you play card. You need to tally your location lore BEFORE you draw for turn. You need to write down your lore AND your opponents lore down on paper.
slight correction, you need to play your card before you exert your ink, this is the proper sequence. This was also discussed in JDZ's judge video. ua-cam.com/video/uIdwBNk3kBA/v-deo.html Time stamp 21:20
@@kylelurty1540 Oh I didn't know that. Any specific reason why it is better?
@@Felynefelit’s not that it’s better, it’s that it’s the written rule. Announce your play and then pay for it
@@Felynefel Not only is it the written rule as mentioned, but the card isn't "fully played" until you paid your ink. If you accidentally play the wrong card from hand and place it on the board, but you haven't paid your ink yet, you can take it back no problem (at least it's been ruled this way in DLCs so far). If you paid your ink beforehand, and accidentally place the wrong card on the board, you might not be allowed a takeback since you technically completed all the steps for playing a card already. So, to avoid that and to have a last "safety net" if you grab the wrong card or change your mind at the last second, better always keep your ink ready until you have placed the card on the board.
@ When you pay the ink for a card and then play the card, by rules it is played because the ink is payed. If you present the card and change your mind prior to paying the ink then you can take it back. Also if you play the wrong card by mistake, you have room to remedy that prior the paying ink.
Player 1s face says it all after he went to banish and was met with an objection. He had already done this in a previous game within the match with a white rose that was met without objection.
I didn’t understand why he didn’t argue back. If the opposing playing can judge call I don’t see why he couldn’t ask for an explanation
@ I think that judge should have asked for assistance if he didn’t have 100 percent certainty on the ruling.
@Bolty-w6h the claim is Jesse didn't know he could appeal to a head judge
Clement is the new Lorcana Vilain. Most funny part similar plays happens in G1 but with Flower and he said nothing .. that's make him looks bad.
yeah it does suck its very clear that he was sharking its just a bad situation top to bottom
If I have a dried Mulan; Enemy of Entanglement, play an action so she gains strength, then shift Mulan; Elite Archer, does the archer get the +2 strength from the effect of the Enemy of Entanglement? Given the rules of "doesn't keep the abilities of the base card" and they "Keeps gained effects" Where does this lie?
When you shift a character, it is still the same character in the more general sense of the game. Like a character "object" - to use an unofficial term. So it will retain the +2 Strength bonus given to "this character" by EoE's effect. It is a gained effect.
JDZ once again cooking with the animations 🤣 be safe out there JDZ!!
Great video! ❤❤❤ keep it up
you are the goat
Can you do an update with Judge Phil regarding the very controversial ruling at DLC Melbourne? From what judge phil explains here, the player playing Merlin Goat, tracking lore and then triggering magic Broom is 100% within the rulings because the broom trigger is "in the bag" but somehow the judge at DLC Melbourne ruled the trigger was missed.
@@Beastriggingspecialist that was such an unfortunate situation and at a minimum I will make an updated version talking about that situation
@@JDZQuest Thanks JDZ, as a new Lorcana player from Azurite Sea, I appreciate your content that helps get acclimated to the game and rules!
Do you have to announce that your triggers are going into the bag?
