I want to move out of palm springs it's extremely expensive unless you move to a extremely dangerous era. - No jobs unless your retire, unless you want a low wage or serf job - super hot 🔥 - it's not safe place unless you live in a gateway community - super isolated in my town so most of my friends are out of country - nothing to do, I live here my whole life and I rarely go out since it's dead. - rise of homeless while I have seen it in Florida too palm springs is little LA, - Not everyone is a billionaire most people who want to leave are Gen Z and alpha While boomer and Xs are the only group moving in. Florida not perfect and the traffic is worse, I don't know if I would move to Texas or Taiwan.

Love this home! We aren’t in a position to move yet but Palm Springs (area) is near the top of places we are considering in the future. Are there a lot of us older gays in Cathedrals City also, or would be happier in PS? 🤔

Palm Springs is okay, the further more you go into the desert towards Indio it gets way nicer. I love living here but Palm Springs is kind of meh.

Been here 8 years full time. I love it. Does the summers get a little hot, sure. But being from the East coast I spent winter months indoors because of the cold. In Palm Springs you spend 3 months inside with the air conditioning in the summer months.

My husband and I are moving to Palm Springs CA at the end of the year. We bought land and are building a home.

Here my experience. After 3 years as a full time resident in ps. I realize it's not for us. If you're in your 20's or 30's I will not recommend. The desert can be very isolating to not say suffocating. My mental health decline here. Also, there only 4-5 restaurants we really like here. Cannot wait to be in a real big city like Los Angeles. But if you want to slow down or plan to retire. That's great!

A friend who moved there w/ his partner told me Palm Springs had (has?) an "epidemic" of meth use , including among older gay men. He also said the rate of STDs is high there. I visited several times but no one else told me this. I am considering moving there but I'm not sure I could deal with the heat as I get annoyed when it's too hot here in L.A. for more than a few days. Someone also told me "Palm Springs is all about alcohol". ?? Don't wanna be Debbie Downer but looks like despite its gay-positive image it has its its less pretty issues. It still sounds like a fun place to live.

I lived in Palm Springs for about 3 years. I was amazed and astounded at the total lack of racial diversity in the gay community. It's almost like a 24/7 white party.

This is truly a fantastic ACE Hardware store. They have EVERYTHING there but especially they have great personal service from experienced folks who can help with almost any project or chore. Check them out!

PS has everything and it doesn’t belong to one group..everyone one here is welcomed but yes leave the politics away, even the Italian Albanian mafia didn’t conduct business in here, just a peaceful place for most of the areas
