I have been a mother of 8-month-old Truffle Lagotto for a week. I was looking for something about this breed and came across your profile. Now I love watching your videos, not only because of the dog, but also because of how pleasant and comfortable they are

Frasse was really excited to be out! Our Gus, also, likes my husband and I to stay together when we're out. Old Uppsala is very scenic. Thanks for taking the time to video your travels and add the English subtitles. It's interesting to view the beautiful countryside through your eyes.

Many thanks for the video, I found it very useful. Until now, I used to take Karim to a professional groomer but since our groomers are inexperienced with the breed, they do him like a poodle or cut his hair almost completely (which I actually find practical in Summer). Karim would never let me use scissors on his face and mouth. Guess he needs to get accustomed to me grooming him.

Jag tycker att ni gjorde ett riktigt fint jobb och att Frasse är väldigt duktig :) Jag har en lagottotik på fyra år som jag har klippt själv sedan hon var liten, så jag kan dela med mig av några saker som jag har lärt mig på vägen. En bra sak att tänka på är att ju kortare päls man håller på en lagotto, desto mindre tid behöver man lägga på pälsvård varje dag. En långhårig lagotto måste kammas ofta för att hålla ordning på pälsen så att tovor reds ut innan de blir alltför stora. En korthårig lagotto kräver i princip ingen pälsvård mer än regelbunden klippning med 2-3 månaders mellanrum. Jag tycker att det fungerar väldigt bra att reda ut allt trassel i yttre pälsen med en större karda med plastpiggar. Karda genom hela pälsen och gå sedan igenom den med en glestandad kam. Min hund älskar det lika mycket som att bli kliad. Det är ingen risk att det luggar och pälsen blir fluffig och därmed enklare att klippa. Innersta pälsen kan man ta med en tovutredare/tovkniv samt klippa bort större tovor med sax om det behövs. Om hon är långhårig trimmar jag medhårs första varvet då det är enklare att komma igenom pälsen med trimmern. Sedan mothårs för en mycket jämnare och bättre klippning. Svansen trimmar jag inte utan tycker att det blir bäst om man kammar ut den ordentligt och sedan klipper med sax. Fluffa upp den som en julgran och klipp ner längden runtom tills den får en fin avsmalnande form. En lagottos fantastiskt vackra ögon får man fram bäst genom att klippa bort pälsen cirka 5 mm ovanför ögonen. All päls på nosen kan man kamma framåt och klippa av framför nosen. Sedan klipper man mustaschen i skivor så att den är kortast närmast nosryggen och sedan blir längre och längre för att få den där fina och runda formen utan all "tyngd". Kinderna blir även de lätt "tunga" med en massa lång päls och det kan vara svårt att klippa till det utan att klippa för mycket. I början tycker jag att det enklaste är att ha hunden liggandes på sidan så att man kan kamma upp pälsen. På så sätt ser man väldigt enkelt hur pälsen ligger och kan korta ner och runda till den på ett fint sätt utan att riskera att klippa för mycket. Hoppas dessa tips kan vara till hjälp! 😃

I so enjoyed this video. Gus is a year behind Frasse. Hopefully, Gus will be as chill as Frasse at 2 years. Right now, Gus is learning to tolerate being combed and clipped. He does real well when dremmeling his nails. Cleaning his ears is a challenge. The vet still isn't able to use the otoscope with him. 😖

Love the forest & trails as well as Frasse in the lake...what fun! I'm sure you had some major brushing on Frasse to get the forest out of his hair. Gus doesn't enjoy brushing so we keep his coat short. 😊Great video! Happy for you being able to get a new camera!

😊 Gus, also, loves water! We have a small plastic pool for him & he gets in it and digs + digs, splashing out most of the water. It's so funny to watch him!

We too have a lagotto here in Los Angeles. He is a 3 years old boy. Our daily routine is pretty much similar as yours. Such amazing breed , needs lots of attention but wonderful affection in return....We feel so lucky to have him in our lives. Believe you guys feel the same way, cheers to lagotto pawrents 🍀❤️

It is such a challenge to wear out the Lagotto. Our Gus will do "zoomies" around the yard multiple times, running as fast as he can! A well exercised dog is a well behaved dog. I'm sure he'll settle down moe as he gets older. ❤

Thank you for #2. The scenery is gorgeous! It reminds me of when my husband and I visited Yellowstone in Wyoming. It was summertime, yet we were high enough in altitude to enjoy snow! So much fun. And Frasse seemed to really enjoy himself! He is sooo cute sitting like a human...your "not really normal dog" is fun to watch. ♡

I have a puppy named Luna its a lagotto and its 2 weeks old

Frasse must love his balcony. His nose is busy smelling all the interesting things! It must be challenging keeping him exercised in an apartment. We never seem to be able to wear out our Gus's energy (14 months) and we have a back yard. Gus enjoys the car ride best. And if I roll down the window and drive slowly, his little nose twitches back and forth as he takes in the interesting smells. ♡

What a beautiful place! Frasse looks like he is having a wonderful time with y'all (that's Texan for "you all"). I'm so glad you've started a new series of videos. Thank you for sharing your lives with us. Gus has never been to a lake or ocean. However, he loves his wading pool. He never lies down in the water. My husband runs water from the hose slowly and Gus empties the pool by using 'digging' movements with his front paws. He rarely stops and barks with excitement in the process. We laugh and laugh. I guess he retained the digging gene from his ancestors digging truffles. He, also, enjoys being in the water. 🐶
