They needed Cressida to be desperate to go with that plot, so surely I understand why was necessary for Debling to go. But, seriously, the LW issue came the following morning. When everyone wad reading it was enough even make him read it and ask his Valet "Prepare my things we are going to see the Penguins 😆 " probably his pride wouldn't permit him to go back immediately to search for a wife. Moreover he had already figured out the feelings between Colin and Pen. He pratically said to her the night before "I can't marry someone that has interests for someone else while I will have to travel" he practically intended that they would have surely had an affair!!! But just forgetting the character was a big mistake.

They've gotta find a way to bring him back. With all the talented people at Shondaland, I'm sure someone with a more fertile imagination than I could think of a way. Lord Debling is just too lovely in every way to leave by the wayside.

Too much Benedict in Season 3 and the writers ruined his character. Not interested. Also blew the Polin story line and it was supposed to be their season. Too much minor characters. Keep the focus on the Bridgerton family. Everyone else are supporting parts. Don't even get me started on the mess they made with Francesca's story.

I agree, Lord Debling deserves a wonderful storyline, because he’s definitely not a “filler”. Wouldn’t it be great if in his travels he comes across Cressida in Wales? Oh man, how fun!!!!

Sorry, but the way you said it seems like Kate and Anthony take the shine away from the main couple and we all know that doesn't happen, they only have a few scenes. There is no reason to be afraid of this. Furthermore, the only couple that did not have a finalized arc (with wedding, honeymoon and birth of the baby) was Khantony. All Khantony fans were hoping that we would at least have the birth of baby Edmund in season 3 and yes, we didn't. So it makes perfect sense that this couple is back and this arc ends. Although I think because they are the heads of the house they should appear in every season. Each couple has their own shine.

I agree with the other comments here. Their relationship has been progressing since season 1 episode 1. Also Colin was never really a rake, he’s a sensitive guy trying to act like a rake because he thinks that’s the way he can fit in. There’s lots of romance in Polin for those that feel and see it.

Their romance has been there since the 1st episode of the series. They already have a foundation of friendship and love. Therefore, they didn't need to use the season to introduce us to their characters in order to introduce their romance. We already know the characters. There's such a lack of media literacy, nuance, and introspection of the scenes and characters by many watchers.

I thought seasons 1 and 2 gave you the slow development with Colin longing to rush into being what society expected while being pleasantly distracted along the way by Penelope who, unknown to Colin, is in love with him. The relationship is SO totally relatable! Although I can see your point, I totally loved it!!❤❤❤

I honestly like some of the changes the show made such as Rhanerya and alicent being former friends. The actresses have great chemistry together. But was a bit let down with blood and cheese but phia saban was incredible in that scene regardless.

There should be a brand new series based entirely on Martin's version.

I think the egos of writers lead them to believe they are on the same caliber of writer or that they understand the storylines as well as GRRM, then they end up making potholes and unnecessary changes.

I like the Mondrich family. Mr. Mondrich was a good friend to Simon in season one. The show focused on how a family can go from almost nothing to wealth. And they always stayed to themselves.

My issue is I cared more about Colin and Penelope as a couple in the relationship then the whole whistle down reveal. I didn’t care for the feminist agenda, I wanted to see more of them as a couple.!

The Whistledown story had so much potential, but they wasted it 😢😢

I found the Mondrichs storyline useless in s2, too. I think that, maybe, they do not want to fire the actors? But at the same time, they could have done better. The other feeling I get is that, somehow, Will is taking the spot of what could have been Simon's if Rege Jean Page didn't refuse to come back. It this is the aim, then they should have made Alice get more integrated and friendly with both Violet and Kate (at least). Last option for keeping them in, could be that their eldest son, now Lord, is intended to be Hyacint's love interest (since in the book is a nephew of Lady Danbury but I don't think they can keep to always get Lady D involved in every Bton affair 😅).

Colin is that man that everybody thinks they want, but not everybody can handle because of how deeply layered he is …Colin is a lot of things and one .. yes he’s charming and funny and sweet but he’s also insecure, self doubtful, anxious, weary and his confidence is nothing but a wall to guard his affections ..unlike his brother, he can’t harden his heart. He wears his heart on his sleeve.. and not everybody can appreciate a man with such emotional depth that he has. and because he isn’t, the standard “heart on ice slowly chip away the layers” type of dude, a lot of people think he’s soft or he isn’t showing enough physical attributes to his anger.. it’s all internal for him. He ponders, he yearnsss , he broods.. he’s a very emotional being and ppl are not used to a male character living in his emotions . But i see you Colin , he truly is the best Bridgerton man.

I couldn't agree more. Nicola's dresses were elegant and beautiful, but the rest were trying to be "modern", but just fell flat. The gloves were the worst especially Nicola's fingerless sheer "gloves" if you can even call them that. Along with the nails, the overpowering at times make-up and the red lipstick they had Nicola wear for the reveal speech were horrible. I love Colin and Penelope and their story so it still manages to be my favorite season although they could have done so much more with their story, I did enjoy the parts they did do. I so hope they return to more elegance and less "modernization" next season. I also don't expect accuracy to the time period, but we at least need the feel of the period

Regarding vulnerability, it was a waste that the show had removed the traumas that Kate has in the books, where she has PSTD with thunder because she was traumatized by the death of her biological mother and on that night where her mother died there were thunders. And how with the help of his heartfelt mother Mary and Anthony she manages to overcome that trauma.

Colin is the guy who says all the right things but never backs them up with action. “ you’re special to me I’ll always protect you.” “I’ll always stand by you because I love you.” She says “I need you to stand by me and hold me” where is Colin over by his mommy. Everyone keeps saying this season is the most realistic. In real life, this is the guy you leave for not being able to support you.

I agree as well. She was still young, and they rushed this marriage thing. I felt like Eloise should have been next in line or the next older brother. It was just too fast. Not enough time to date, and really get to know each other.

But Francesca was gobsmacked at meeting her new husband’s new cousin. Her reaction was very similar to the way her mother described how she reacted to falling in love with her husband. INTRIGUE.
