"It is not enough to be busy; so are the ants. The question is: What are we busy about?" - Henry David Thoreau May advises Peter on balance. She recalls times when she tried to do too many things at once and couldn't do any of them well. Transcription: I think that was in my bedroom. Why did she take a picture of that? "Balance." What does that mean? Wonder if this is still there. I'm gonna go ...

This is the one thing I didn't care much for. If Herc had to die I would have preferred it to be heroic or the fight be more coerced. This is just the studio going, "Our mythology is better than yours."

I agree. Not just Hercules' battle, but all the gods' fights could have been longer and more challenging. It seems like the developers might have rushed things a bit.

Here’s what I wanna know, how is Kratos stronger than the LITERAL god of strength?

Kratos is the god of war and has the advantage of being the protagonist of this story, in particular. Plus, we, the players, are on his side. How could he lose? 😅

Thats deep man! He got someone to express his thoughts! Remember he is still grieving all throughout the story! And he has atreus coming up on his godhood.

Ive noticed that Kratos apparently meets his foes and matches then surpasses their strength with his will. Makes sense as to why he doesn't just breeze through fighting human combatants in a way he may easily overcome a giant. He's not just fighting with raw power, but battling with willpower. Edit: to further explain, regular humans give up hope and die, Kratos doesn't even need hope. He has determination, that's why he ascended to Godhood in the first place... in my opinion.

The first time I played GoW1 & sent the boat captain to hell, it was funny & badass. Got funnier at the end when you saw him in Hades, then again as a minion in GoW2. By GoW3 when you find his note, it starts to get sad. Never thought both Kratos & I would look at that moment years later with different feelings.

“He wanted to be a god of war for wrong reasons” What reason?! Kratos as much as i remeber was just leading his army in battles killing everyone and hating other gods when he became god of war are those good reasons? I think Hercules would do same things except of killing gods if he became a god of war.(I might be wrong because I haven’t played the franchise for a long time so please correct me if I am wrong)

One thing i dont think ppl noticed i might be wrong but fate is considered a weapon to the sisters of fate .......did kratos take fate into his hands.....no weapon is to strong for the god of war

Interestingly, Kratos was wrong in some of his imparted wisdom. "Close your heart to it" is not a good advise, especially for someone like Atreus who feels the natural energy around him like his mother did. Atreus cannot close his heart to it, because it is ingrained in his Jotunn bloodline. This is why Atreus was sensitive to all characters around him. The moment Atreus forced himself to ignore the sufferings of the rest, he started becoming bratty and arrogant and was headed down the exact same path as Kratos. That forced persona was accompanied by the growing distance between father and son, creating a recipe for disaster waiting to happen. Empathy is one of the most important attribute of Atreus'. He is his mother's son, after all.

He didn't even mention the salt in the wound of f***ing with the guy 2 more times in death. Once in the first game where you kick him down to the river Styx to pull yourself up / begin escaping Hades after Ares impales your body and then in the second game battling the barbarian who summons his soul which does not attack you.

The parallel with Kratos and Teal'C isn't much different - both of them legendary warriors in service of cruel gods for centuries, both losing their families, both betrayed their gods, started a rebellion...and then killed all of them as a result - Kratos - used magical weapons, the Titans, and a magical gateway Teal'C - guns, explosives, a staff weapon, SG1, and the Stargate Christopher Judge is crazy work for this role 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

This is a perfect example as why character growth is important and far more interesting than if he was the same Ghost of Sparta from the past games. The main writer for those games don't know what he is talking about when he says Kratos shouldn't have changed.
