You can't replace Jay Black and call yourself Jay and the Americans. I know he lost the name to back taxes BUT we didn't. I'd be BS if I thought I was seeing him and saw this. There was nothing like him in a live performance.

They are not the Drifters! They are "FAKE". During that period there were only two recognized Groups of Drifters, that would be Charlie Thomas Drifters or Bill Pinkney's Drifters. FULL STOP! There's about at least 20 FAKE Drifters on any given day.

The lead guy is Jerome Jackson the “new” lead Drifter (25 yrs). I saw them last night in Folsom and he was there with 3 other guys who’ve rotated in and out of the band since 1970s. They were all in their 70s/80s and did an amazing job

I saw the Drifters in the early 1980s, in Roof Top gardens, Wakefield, Leeds. They were brilliant. Amazing, and as far as I am concerned The Drifters. OK.

David Blatt is Jay and the Americans without him you are just for guys in funny outfits trying to sing and failing. Sorry to be so cruel, but I’m sure that Jay and the Americans originals with Jay Black , and not Jay and the Americans with Mr. Traynor; I repeat your group is not Jay and the Americans because Jay Black is not there .
