Great video. I'm definitely going to try this later tonight. The issue with mine is that the cubes won't drop and are all clumping together. Is that what was happening with yours?
One of my group home staff was able to help me figure out the icemaker and it is now functioning so far at least it’s running so now I’m checking to make sure it’s making ice.
I just got one and it’s not making ice at all. When it turns (ice meant to be dumped into basket) the water just pours back into the tank. And idea how to resolve it?
Good question! After the 3 months is was not a quick and easy return. Didn't keep box that long, after 90 days the return policy change, especially for items not working, etc. I'm glad I didn't have to. It's still working great today, years later.
Sorry it didn't work. You might try "lightly" pulling the try toward you when you turn it on. If it is able to get past the start point and raise up the water might start. If it does then try a different type of plastic or a different thickness of plastic to see if it will work without you pulling on it. Just a thought of something more to try. Good luck.
@@rickanderson704. I saw another video under the FOOING name where the author replaced the pump. Mine was an FZF brand and I discovered the units pump can be disassembled and cleaned as well as well as the pump hose
I’ve had mine sitting to throw out for months and attempted to fix it before I gave up on it, are you serious this is exaclty what I needed Thankyou so much
Hello. I don't remember how, other than starting with the visible screws near the bottom and eventually you remove enough for the top to come lose. But I don't remember it to clean it. I clean the easy to reach parts with warm water and a rag then put in some fresh warm water and white vinegar in it and let it run over and over. About 2 parts water to 2 part vinegar. Then put fresh water in and let it run. Once done even the hard to reach parts look very clean. I hope that helps. There are some good videos out there showing ways to clean them.
Dude this was genius! My warranty expired and I was so mad that after 3 months the same thing was happening. I was looking at new ice machines today to buy a new one next week and I came across this video. Tried it, works perfectly fine! Thank you so much for uploading this
Omfg bro I was doing everything to cleaning it and taking it apart and as soon as this video ended, I cut out the top part of Tupperware and it fixed it immediately. Thanks my man 🙏
I am trying to remove the cover of my kooler things ice maker and I see you did it. I was wondering if you could explain to me how that is done, please and thank you
Hello again. I didn't reopen it but after looking at it again I'm pretty sure you remove the white sides by unscrewing them from the bottom. That should give you access to the screws to the top. Not sure, but I think that is how it works.
Well done figuring out a workaround. If something stops working in 3 months in for me, I'm getting the entire machine replaced under warranty.
Yes!
You're a lifesaver!
Hey, I'm glad it worked!
Good job and well said. So nice to see a informational video without the theatrics. Thank you so much sir👍🏻
Thank you!
Thank you very much. It worked.
That's great! I'm glad it worked for you!
Thanks we were ready to start taking it apart. We saw you video and it worked. It seems like new. Thank you
I'm glad it worked for you!
This quick fix solved our problem! thank you so much!!
Great! I'm glad it helped!
Great video. I'm definitely going to try this later tonight. The issue with mine is that the cubes won't drop and are all clumping together. Is that what was happening with yours?
No, my problem happened before even filling with water. I hope you get it working.
DON'T buy these things folks they go bad fast.
resolved the issue. Thanks 👍
Great! I'm glad it worked!

No, I don't know about that. Sorry
What happened to the lunch meat?
It made a great sandwich! ;)
@@rickanderson704 lol
I see the you slide the top part of the ice maker off to clean like how you do that ? Do all the ice makers do that ?
No, I had to remove some screws to get the top off.
Thanks for the video
Glad it helped!
I really need to watch video till the end 😂 I was trying to do it step by step so I opened it all up just to find out I didn’t need too lmaooo
Oh no! Sorry about that. Did it work for you?
It was 3 months old- why didn’t you just return it?

Thank you. I just used your plastic lid fix trick, took about 1 minute to do and no more sticking slide. Awesome!!!
Fantastic! I'm glad it helped!

It worked thank you
Glad it helped!
❤❤❤
Thank you!
I'm glad it helped!
i just bought it and it's not working after one day does anyone perhaps had the same issue?
No, if it is new, this fix probably will not fix it. If you bought it used, it is probably worth a try.
Was definitely worth a shot! I tried it, sadly mine is just a water feature now lol Something else must be going on.
i was cleaning the machine and moved it to one side now the flap doesn’t want to work
😂😂
Saved me from buying a new unit, thank you!
Great to hear!
Holy cow dude. Great observation. It worked!!! I even replaced the motor but that didn’t help. This did. Thanks!!! 😊
Glad it helped!
Husband bought one for our home and we love it. But how can I take the top off as u did so I can clean it. Your help is appreciated.

Thanks so much. This fixed my issue.
Wow that worked thanks!!
How on earth do you get the little tray upright without it being on so to clean it?
Not sure, but maybe try unplugging it when it is at the best position to clean it.
For anyone else - if you take off the motor (right hand side on mine - 2 screws) the little tray is free to move around.

I am trying to remove the top cover as you did in this video. Could you please make a video showing how to remove that top cover?
Hello. I don't remember how and am not home to see if I remember. I'll try t check sometime soon.

omg i have been going nuts trying to figure out what's going on with mine, and I think this might be it. I'm going to try it.
