Try measuring with a tape measure.
Fo-Mopar-Co Parts 😂
Hey Julio, I just got an '02 Grand Cherokee, and this mod is invaluable. Thanks!
I have been using super tech coolant for many years now issues at all
Thank you
I took off a fram tough guard. The felt was off center 1/8 inch. Not filtering all the oil. I replaced with 0EM for truck!
Thank you our bmw x3 uses the same 12M x 1.5 and it stripped so ordered a 12.1M x 1.5 oversized ..great repair option
Awesome. Please remember to torque the bolt down to spec. The oversized plug can easily strip the pan again.
Just happened to me on my Cbr 12mx1.5 so I bought oversized m12x1.75 little longer works perfect
That my friends is the work of a genius 😅
On eBay I get the synthetic blend super tech for 13 dollars .
My friend. Which size is the other oversized plug option you installed? The one you showed us is like a 1.5?
pretty sure the red would be standard sizes... not really about color coordination
I focus on metric more too. My boss hates when I say "I don't trust it if it ain't metric" lol
Very helpful thanks
Collapsed filter my ass that filter was sludge up ,tons of miles on that filter, looks like a scam to me.Trying to scam fram .Smell fraudulent lawsuit all the way.He probably the one who spill hot coffee at Macdonalds and try to make a buck.Fram #1 year after year other brands can't compete.
Thank you!!!!
Thanks Mate. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain how to search for these things and get the right one. I'm restoring a 1982 Suzuki GS750T and when I saw threads hanging out the bottom of the oil pan after removing the plug... Well, let's just say I wasn't looking forward to fixing it. This looks like the answer. Thanks again and in the 4 years since you made this video, I hope you've got through those tough times.
Hi, I installed mine today, but I don’t have the turn signals and horn like you, how did you?
Who programmed your kit?
I'm not clear on what your talking about here? Why would you pick up the Quaker state for $1 more? How is that a "no brainier"? As far as the 20k stuff be careful becuase Wally mart will have online only prices. Super tech meet all the API certifications and my guess is people will grab the super tech believing that it's the best value. Some people don't even look but pricing always fluctuates. For a difference of a few bucks I don't see it worth even thinking about. It's marketing and I would'nt doubt if you talk to a manager that they will match the super tech to any of the brands. Also, prices go up sometimes. This inflation thing is not made up or some government conspiracy. Shop smart but don't be penny wise and dollar stupid
Quakerstate is a branded oil, that is why. Supertech is a house brand. For just a dollar more you can have a better oil. Thus, defeating the purpose of the house branded oil. Do you understand?
I've been in the oil business my whole life. The only thing that I understand from your response is that you assume that the branded oil is better than the house brand oil. With the API designations being the same, why is it better? Lets, just for sake of arguement, say that it is. Then my question to you is why would you use an "inferior" oil when the price difference is a few dollars? Also there are other reasons to "white label" engine oil besides end user costs. Im simply just making a point of something you probably already know. Do you understand? @@xlightssx
If you start it with the new system does this also disengage the steering lock? Or do you need to use the key to unlock the steering to drive
This system doesn’t unlock the steering. The key does that.
I was thinking the same thing. Why not just cut it😂. All that drilling or grinding
what color is this?
Yellow
@@xlightssx thank you bro!
Over a year ago, Fram was bought by First Products. That parent company owns both FRAM AND CHAP LABS. They seem to be messing around switching products around. The cartridge filter for my 13Camry TG9972 (fram) is now actually a Champ Lab filter in a Fram box. From what I can see the only difference on the cartridge filter are the end caps. Never have had a problem with any fram filters in the past and been using them for over 40 years.
You have been lucky, wish other have had the same experience.
i agree bro i did the samething quaker state is superior oil is a no brainier seriously
What makes it better then SuperTech? Just curious
Excellent video and very much appreciated. One thing though. Please stop referring to the end caps as “paper “. They are made of an engineered fiber, not paper or cardboard or felt as so many people refer to them as. I did like that you said they are not a problem when done properly.
i'm trying to find out if this if universal coolant is OK for my Honda. This video didn't directly address it BUT, from all the talkin you did and the comments i see, it looks like it's OK
Yes, I have used it in Hondas. But I have never mixed universal with the oem fluid. I do complete flush and replace the eom fluid with universal.
@@xlightssx ohhhhh :(. That's a problem then. :(. I have Asian blue in my system. Radiator leaking. Wanted to keep it filled up, bought the universal since it was cheaper and the o Reilly guy said it was fine. Guess I'm screwed then gotta take it back. Can't fix the radiator cuz I can't find the exact leak
@@EphemeralProductions how do you know it’s leaking? Is there a puddle under the vehicle or are you just having to fill the radiator ever so often?
@@xlightssx coming out on the top seam of the radiator and eventually falling down the sides down to the splash shield.
@@EphemeralProductions so you do know the source of the leak. You stated in earlier text that you couldn’t find the exact leak. At this point you know that the radiator needs to be replaced soon. In this case, I would keep using the universal to top off and complete a flush after radiator replacement.
What if I did the same steps as u but the remote doesn’t light up with the new batteries?? Shouldn’t it start right up ??
Yes it should work as normal. Try getting another set of batteries to rule out a battery fault.
Did you put the batteries in upside down?.
hi Giulio, I wanted to buy this system but in Italy it is not possible, they are sold only in Canada and America. I tried to write an email to the manufacturer but he doesn't answer me, not even on message. I ask you a great courtesy, could you send me the names and initials of the products you like on ebay and the connection diagrams to the Jeep Grand Cherokee wj? in itia I can not find anything because American car. I have a 2001 wj 4.7. Thanks in advance Gianpy email giansailing@gmail.com
I'm installing some of these now . Is is just metal at the top of the shock or is there a rubber bump stop there as well?
There are no bump stops on the top of the rear suspension. Did you get this in? How's the ride?
I'm wondering if i can use it to top off my kia sedona?
I never use it to top off, but you can buy antifreezes for the Kia at auto zone that is compatible. www.autozone.com/antifreeze-radiator-additives-and-windshield-wash-fluid/antifreeze-coolant/p/peak-antifreeze-coolant-asian-green-50-50-premixed-1-gallon/720592_0_0
@@xlightssx 🤣 walmart workers told me I could, I got to return it now.. Ok thanks dude.
@@user-pr5 The Walmart workers were absolutely correct, you can and should mix them. No issues whatsoever will happen and the system will be fortified with the superior coolant that is Supertech.
great video.thank you 4 this.p
Very helpful, thanks bro. I stripped my primary oil pan on my harley. Having leak issues. I’ll try this
Just remember to use a torque wrench with the proper torque spec so that you don’t strip it. You will forever have to torque wrench it.
@@xlightssx what size did you get ? I think i need M18x1.5x12. Not sure if any other will fit
@@xlightssx also, what’s the M18 mean ? I can’t find many, but see alot of 1.5 x 12

Prices have definitely increased, however Supertech still cheaper and meets all the same specs as Quaker state. Oil analysis in my car show it works excellent. If you buy Quaker state you are just paying a dollar or so more for a marketing budget. If it makes you feel better I suppose buy the Quaker state but I don’t see the point in paying even a dollar or so more for what’s essentially the same stuff.
To be clear this is just the normal ten thousand mile synthetic.
Quaker will increase to $28 soon probably lol
Their brake cleaner used to be $1.98 about a year and a half ago, but now its gone up to about $2.90
Here in America we call this Bidenflation, all intentional to devalue and thus steal from the white working class, again. Does anyone actually believe in 20K oil?? I change my full syn every 5K max. And if you have a cvt, start changing that fluid by 40K.
I found the same thing
We pay average 50 dollars gallon now Canada for oil.
I don't like the Walmart supertech oil because of the foil/plastic under the cap. There is no easy way to remove it, poke a hole through it the foil and plastic comes apart. I don't want the plastic or foil going into the engine when I am pouring the oil.
Also all of thir fuel additives have gone up to
Couldn’t agree more, I used to buy their 10w40 motorcycle oil because it was half the price of others. I looked this week and the Mobil 1 was actually cheaper. Costcos Kirkland oil is still about $19/5 quarts so I’ll buy that. If I can’t make it Costco ill go with the Penzoil based on project farms testing it’s worth the extra few bucks.
I was just thinking about this today while looking at Walmart's oil prices. When I started using SuperTech it was a little over $15. Now it's $22. I just don't see the value in it anymore compared to the other brands. Looks like I'll be sticking with Costco's Kirkland oil at $38 for 10 quarts (which was $25 a mere couple years ago). You brought up Quaker State. Just a month ago I saw it at $19.50 at Walmart. In a matter of weeks they bumped up to $23. That's disgusting. By the way, Pennzoil is having a $20 online rebate (it was $25 last year) until October on their Platinum line if you buy 10 quarts. That's what I'll use for the next two oil changes. It should come out to roughly $16 per 5 quarts of 0w-20 and $18 for 5w-30 if you buy from Walmart.
I got a deal for mine $70 bucks on Direct tools outlet. It works great! I mainly use it for wheels since I find it too large to use in and around suspension. I'm in the Milwaukee and Ridgid line of tools and I do have both the Gen 1 and Gen 2 Milwaukee Midtorque's as-well. The Gen 2 Ridgid Midtorque is essentially the size of the Gen 1 Milwaukee pretty much it's twin. Ridgid dropped some cool tools this year. I'm going to pick up the Gen 2 1/2 Sub compact and the right angle impact wrench. Even tho I do have the Milwaukee stubby I like the grip and the super small head of that sub compact. BTW you can get some bomb deals on new 3.0 Octane batteries on Direct Tools. 2 pack deals on blemished batteries are $60-70 bucks depending on the sale. I get most my Ridgid tools from there. The lifetime warranty still applies to the blemished tools. BTW nothing wrong with the tools. It's just old stock or boxes that have been ruffed up a bit and don't look present nice on shelves.
I was wondering the same thing they have the same design ratchet in the red blue green with 100 different names with the all seem to be the same manufacturer with the same insides
Bar's is pretty good stuff. Worked on mine to slow the leak down to almost nothing. As for the Blue Devil it's not that good.
Can I still use this after oil change? I changed my oil and oil filter few weeks ago but I didn't put none of this bar's stuff in.
Yes
@@xlightssx I can still put this stuff in?
@@hendricks177 yes you can
@@xlightssx ok. Thanks.
@@xlightssx where do you pour into at
Thanks very helpful.
Do you just screw in the new bolt part of my threads are still in and the bottom half is stripped of threads
I think you are saying that the screw hole is not completely stripped? If that is the case, then yes, just screw it in. Set it to the appropriate torque spec. Don’t over tighten.
Any news from computer case?
i replaced the battery but it doesn't work anymore. Toyota RAV4 2014. Does it need to be reprogrammed again?
