Paderno skillet
This is me trying to brown chicken in my Paderno skillet that I bought in 2013. I was using sunflower oil to get a nice brown on it, but you may notice that only the middle of the pan was really hot. This is because the bottom is convex, and it only makes contact with the stove in the middle. Dangerous situation, because, as you may notice, the pan spins when you're moving food around.
I returned this skillet, at my own expense, to Paderno, who replaced it with another. It's exactly the same.
Save your money.

Bathroom remodel 2013

This is the wallpaper and painting stage of a gradual re-do of our upstairs main bathroom. I changed the sink and toilet a couple of years ago. Eventually we will finish the overhaul by installing a new countertop and perhaps tile floors. The colour was suggested by a designer we consulted for colours throughout the house, and I'm very pleased with the results.

Purity Brand Pork Sausage Jingle

This is an obscure radio advert that was released in Ireland in the 60s. My parents visited there, and my cousin, who was Chief Accountant and Company Secretary for Belfast Food Products who produced Purity Brand sausages, gave them this record as a souvenir. My family's original was lost, however some nice folks in Britain supplied me with the music, and even a colour photocopy of the sleeve.
wild he told a joke in here that he also said on politically incorrect with bill maher like 20 years later
I love this rendition but it was better live 😊
now that's comedy!👍
Comedy was so cute and innocent back in the day. No hecklers, no cancel culture, no offensive stuff.
No one like him
Amazing. The upbeat tempo and delivery only serves to make the lyrics more sad, more melancholy.
Love this song. Best version ever.
WIU's very own - hysterically funny - Distinguished Alumni Award winning - the one and only Timmy
By far the best recorded version of this amazing lyric by Kristofferson.
It is resonator guitar
Peter Rowan also has a really good cover of this on his walls of time album ( that's what led me to this)
I bought the 45 of this song when I first started working in 1971. What I would give to see them now. I am learning this song for my own repertoire. Does anyone know if they are still in the Ottawa area?
I saw Him in the 80's in King of Prussia. He played a ranting message from his ex-girlfriend on his answering machine. It was cringe-worthy since I was on a first date and my guy didn't know whether to laugh or not.
I wonder how old Todd is here? He looks so cute! Sounds the same :)
If this is really from the 80's he should be more or less 20 years old (born in 1964). He always says that he looked 40 all of his life, I can see his point here... Still handsome though
Glenn Adams on banjo, Ray Adams on guitar, Don Hill on Dobro. With Chris Whittles on mandolin and Dave Whittles on bass, they were Bytown Bluegrass. They were tight as new shoes and smooth as old China silk!!
Hi Pete. Is there any way you could send me a copy of their last album together? I had it on cd and it won't work anymore. Chris passed away in 2013, and it is the only connection left of his amazing voice.
Send me your email address and I will contact you about that album and some other recordings and videos Chris was on
Thanks Pete. My email address is shepherdlab@shaw.ca
That address didn't work.
thanks, who is singing lead?
Sooo handsome
And that would be my friend Jo-Anne Adams singing - awesome!
+Sharon Bond Thanks for posting that. Ottawa area talent rocks!
I stole his first mic bit once, I was terrible at it though, I hit the lady too hard and she died.
Loved it
Holy shit he's barely recognizable till he starts telling his jokes then it's 100% todd
grew up to this version and still love it to this day
Whoa...killer cover, I love it!!
Nice take !
Great song and this is definitely the best version I've heard.
