Dart Marlin before and after + install - Triumph Speedmaster / America
Переглядів 3,2 тис.Рік тому
I installed a dart marlin screen on my 2007 triumph speedmaster. Straight away I notice less wind on my chest. it lessens wind up to around my chin in height (I'm 180cm tall) and to mid collarbone in width. Looks neat and is built well. Will report back after a 600km ride this weekend! cheers!

Triumph Speedmaster / America - Fitting a larger 19t sprocket for better highway use!
Переглядів 6 тис.Рік тому
Today I installed a 19t sprocket to replace my 18t on my 2007 Triumph Speedmaster. The difference for me was great, it feels like 4th gear was the old 5th gear, so cruising at 110kmh in 4 and then clicking to 5th really feels like an overdrive. Off the line performance was hardly noticeable. Big test 11th Feb with a 500km day ride, stay tuned for that and a final review!
Triumph America/Speedmaster Progressive 412 shock install and walk around!

Today I fit some progressive 412 11.5in shocks onto my triumph speedmaster. This video will show the before and after and I will do a review after a 500km day trip on the 11th Feb! Stay tuned for an honest review.
Triumph Speedmaster/America - Exhaust Comparison - Wow!! What a difference
Переглядів 14 тис.Рік тому
A quick comparison on my Triumph speedmaster 865, showing the difference between the staintune pipes and the emgo shorty tapered pipes. The emgo have a perfect sound and really opened the bike up. Any questions feel free to drop a comment, cheers ✊

wow i want that sound in mine. what dB did you get with?
What handlebars are on the bike? Love them! Just got a vs1400. In Australia. Cheers mate!
What exhaust setup and handle bars did you have on it mate.
How did she fair up against a harly sporster in a speed race ?
Was the chain long enough?
Needs more cow bell
Looks great, can you tell me where you buy your parts as I am wanting to put some Apes on mine as well...Cheers
Not from Down Under but crossing solid lines on two way roads is illegal in the US and indicates your cornering skills might need some work I realize that no road in this video is really tight and twisty , but exiting your lane during a corner is widely considered a no no Keep the Shiny side up mates
What handlebars are those?
Quick question what kind of exhaust was on that bike?
Tenho uma 98, É uma máquina gostosa de pilotar.
Your speedometer will be reading under. I am pretty sure you can get the speedometer calibrated or just find out how much it reads under in case you go through a radar zone.
I bought one of these in Sydney a couple of weeks ago. 1993 model. Unreal machine!
sounds good, I'm looking at those or the slashcuts for my america. Do you know what the sound difference be between the slashcuts and the Tapered Turbo would be?
What mirrors are those? Did they need an adaptor? And what is the taillight/turn signals? Bike looks wonderful!
Shorty here and I would like to know if you had to reject when changing
It’s a kebab…
It's a stick! They used to load them right up
It's satay, where did you think they store the handle part? It's like buying a lollipop and complaining about the stick 😂 (im just messing bro)
🤣 it's half a kebab! I want my chicken 🤣
Beautiful bike, where'd the apes go? What size risers did you have? How was the quality of the apes? Cheers.
How long are the stock shocks
Where could I find the 19 tooth sprocket? Please.
Anywhere online will sell them, they are all the same basically. Just Google 19t triumph america sprocket
Square parts
Thanks!
What a nice sound from pipes ilike to know what is your feelings of the front19T sprocket thinking of doing that i have rescently done a stage 3 tune
Hi are you happy with your choice of sprocket
Sorry, didn't see the comment till now. I have since removed the 19t and back to 18t while I was commuting over winter. I will pop the 19t back on soon for the big rides during summer
How tall are the mini apes on your Speedmaster? I’m considering replacing my beach handlebars. Any regrets switching?
Hi there are you still happy with the sprocket
Im 5 '11 and 250. I love the looks but dont know if it would fit me
Where did you buy the Staintunes from? There website doesn’t list Triumph stuff.
Agree. The shorty pipes sound great.
You're gonna regret selling that bike! I regret selling mine and just purchased a new one after 6 years with another bike. Nice vid!
Oh man I already regret it! Was an absolute beast, heaps of fun to ride and styling to match! Maybe I'll track down another but pretty rare in Aus
Great ride! Cheers from BC, Canada!
What bars are they and did you need new cables
Nice ride 👍🏻 👊🏻 😎
bike year?
That's a 1993 model
Where did you get your emgo pipes from? Also more Speedmaster content please 😁
I put the pipes in aus from MCAS, just finishing a video from a big 620km day trip. Then will be doing a valve check/adjustment video, fitting an LED halo headlight and a USB charger for your phone too. Then a 1200km two day, camp trip!
@@rubbersidedownunder cool mate looking forward to it
Looking forward to hear if it pushes more air up and increase noise.
Just back from a 620km day trip! Screen was really good. Cruised the highway and still enough air but the wind off the chest is gone but no buffeting and doesn't seem to be any extra wind on the helmet or noise
@@rubbersidedownunder Great news!! Thanks! 😊👍
I like the screen but the big question is , is that a ford escort in the garage 🤞😃
Haha, it sure is, 79, 2 litre 🤘 I'll do a video on it in a few months! Have to finish a few things on it
Hello, I like these above the staintune myself and for a third the cost. You mentioned getting proper exhaust pipe clamps, did you also use or make up a bracket for hanging them?
I find the staintune may have a bit more torque down low but mid to top and cruising there's no difference, but the emgo sound better and can be heard in traffic too. Bracket I have been dodgy, it comes with long brackets, I drill out out a hole and just used a hose clamp through the bracket and around the bottom of the frame, can't see it and is solid 👍
Where's the propeller on duck's helmet?))
Haha it took off at the start of the trip! Probably lasted 3000km all up in rides and decided to take off 😅
Hi there, What pipes do you got on your triumph?
Hi, they are just Emgo Tapered pipes. Relatively cheap but they sound nice and not to loud cruising
what size are those bars and where did you get your cables and how much longer are the cables, sorry mate i know its 20 question time. i want to do the same to mine but dont know where to start
All good! The bars are TDR 10in bars bought online and the cables, +200mm on both the clutch and throttle cables and +250mm on the front brake line. They were purchased at Hinkley Triumph Australia, they have an online store on ebay 👍
I have a question on the same topic. Are those the stock wiring on it?
It always feels like I need another gear at 110/120 ,it looks like I'm after a 19 ✊
Mine was the same, 110/120 just felt it was revving a little to high. The 19t changed it and was relatively cheap and easy. Good test next week in the highways for a good 400km so will do a review after that 👍👍 I think you'd be happy with a 19t
Much of a difference? Is it better at cruising at 100k?
Honestly made a huge difference. Best way to describe I guess is 4th gear feels like 5th did with the 18t... Can cruise along at 100-110 in 4th and then realise I have another gear. Makes that 110-120kmh cruise effortless and realistically didn't lose much torque down low. Big test next weekend, 500km of snowy mountain highways
Oh no! Where is the duck?))))
I forgot to put him back on after changing my bars 😅 he is back on there now 🦆
Hahahah funny
You look so cute together
Keep at it. So much fun making a bike your own
Thanks man, next up is a halo headlight ✊
Looks good. How are they riding? How tall is your ape hanger and how much longer are cables and wires? Have a good one! 😊
Hi Peter, they are 10in apes from TDR - the cables from memory are +250mm on brake and +200mm throttle and +200mm on clutch. Supplied by hinkley triumph in Queensland 👍
Just my opinion, but the Staintune sounds better to me 😉
Thanks Peter, the staintune definitely has the better build quality and a really nice smooth note, it's just a little to quiet for me. Will see after a few big rides and might swap back! Cheers
A dad having fun with his kids is good to see
I definitely agree! Have to put the effort in to give them some good memories
Still kicking myself for not getting down there to get it.
That's a bummer! It really was a pretty bad ass bike and not many around
@@rubbersidedownunder hey buddy do you have any advice on syncing the carbs? I’m having some trouble with getting the full power like you did it has power it just doesn’t rev out smooth like this video :( I need help on how to sync the high speed throttle sync screw at the top carb and bottom carb and the idle sync screw at the top. Do you know how many turns in they should be? Or any advice for getting it perfect
@@rubbersidedownunder I have a fancy digi sync but I’m still confused as to which screw to start with first. Bc if I touch one screw it affects the other on the reading. So do I just keep tweaking one at a time till I achieve the balance. I could really use the help. Or if you can give me the number to the guy you sold it to so I can ask for pics of the screw positions so I can mimic :)
