Wishbone Ash - Rock Milestones - Argus - Full Documentary (Subs: ES/FR/DE/IT/SV)
Переглядів 49 тис.Рік тому
In 1972 Wishbone Ash struck gold with their third album Argus, which helped propel the band to superstar status. The album made Wishbone Ash one of the most popular rock bands in the world. Argus was a truly original album that saw the band at their commercial and creative peak. Argus contained epic, often medieval, themes, brilliant vocal harmonizing, insturmental precision, and arguably the b...

WA is my favorite rock band. I first saw them in 1975 in Ft. Worth TX and they had just picked up Laurie Wisefield and we didn't know if this person was a guy or girl because of the name. When he opened up his shirt at the concert we found out. It was only my second concert ever. Yes was my first. I miss Ben Granfelt. What a talent on the guitar. Andy Powell is the heart and soul of the band.
My very favourite Ian Gillan vocal is concerto for group and orchestra it's beautiful. You can hear how beautiful his voice is.
@@rageyb Where are you from? Your avatar is from Luis Royo, right? Is the same of Avalanch's "Los poetas han muerto" album. One of my favorite bands
All you shredders watch and learn.....
Saw them in 71 at Satsop River, we were absolutely stunned, we had no idea who they were as they stole the whole weekend show from all the big names.
I'll never forget the first album, when the needle hit the vinyl and "Blind Eye" came on, we were never the same. What's rarely mentioned is the infectious jazz/rock shuffle feel of Turner/Upton, on songs like "Blind Eye," "Blowin' Free" and "Jail Bait." To me they weren't the same after "Pilgrimage" when they were still young, hungry and full of inspiration.
Esse Bernie Shaw é muito fraco no vocal para uma Banda que teve um dos maiores vocalistas do Rock.
Great to see them Rockin as well as ever. Pity about the cell phone type sound quality, but better than nothing.
No vol.
Welcome back with the band...the best BAND ❤....Phil Lanzon😊
Alex Napier played the perfect drum part on the original recording. But, Uriah Heep sounds great after 54 years!
Freaking great stuff here! One of the bands that defines 70’s rock!
I'm 72 yrs old now. Saw them in '73, in my top 10 of all time. Blew me away. Was my 2nd. concert. Great musicians great vocals 👍👍👍
Other 9 in your top? ❤️
I also saw them in 73 in Cincinnati and 50 years later in 2023. Needless to say the 73 concert was better but I enjoyed both.
Look at Laurie being the coolest person ever at the beginning - foot up!
First saw Wishbone ' live' in 71 Did alot of first album and Pilgrimage and a few new songs from an Lp no one had heard of yet ....Argus ...the rest is history .I also joined the fanclub in 71
Andy moved the politics inside the band to kick off Martin and shamesly assume the vocals. What a pitty.
Whatever happened to the drummer Steve Upton
Love the original band but its a travesty for them to still be called Wishbone Ash with only one original mamber, just wrong...
Wishbone Ash Forever ❤ Greetings From Brazil
argus is not the best record
These boys were a 70s tour de force par excellence......saw them many times in that era. Just recently saw MTurner version- at the age of 75 he's still a class bassist
starzy wymiatacze
Fantastic and I think unique upload. Thanks!
C'était très chaud à l'époque , ...bénis ceux qui ont vécu certains live ...!!!
This is the original line up. Saw them twice. Musically the best band ever, just lacked a serious front man.
Try front page news wishbone ash 😡🤬☀️🦁🕎✡️🌎🌹😎🦁🇮🇱💌☠️🌪️🔥💪💋🇺🇳🌍🌎
❤

So this French production couldn't put a camera in front of the band? All we see is their backsides. WTF? Regardless, Wishbone Ash was an awesome band! One of my faves, especially live.
Thanks Josue Arevalo. Brought back some fine memories from the early 70s along with the updated appreciation of the newer material. One of the best!
Got to see the original lineup in 1973 in Fresno, California. What a great show too bad they never made a DVD back then of live dates.🎸🎸✌️
Bel gruppo
Sept 30, 1972, Oval Cricket Ground, London. WA with Genesis, ELP, Focus, Jack Bruce, Argent...I was there! The bonfire of the matting over the wicket is legendary. What a line up! I was 17.
Saw wishbone ash whenever they were in London, great band.
Simply one of the greatest rock bands ever; Argus one of the greatest rock albums ever.
A superb band over the years... A "classic" track in almost every album... The "New England" album was my favourite.
Que show os caras no auge ! Superbanda
There's the rub is the best! Wishbone fan since 73. Loved Argus, but all the songs on Rub are very good. Lady Jay is their masterpieces - a touching folk tale sung with such pathos by Martin, and Laurie's wailing guitar solo is so moving!
One of the best Bands ever. ( The camera Director or the Cameramen themselves had no fuc#ing clue of who was playing what ! LOL )
Went to a concert that featured Robin Trower, Eddie Money and Wishbone ash, Never heard of Wishbone ash, and really didn't hear to much about this guy Eddie Money either, he was just starting out. I went to go see Robin Trower, Wishbone ash piloted for Eddie Money, By the time Wishbone ash got done, I felt I already got my moneys worth out of the concert. I could have went home, and been happy. They were that good. I was glad I stuck around though. This guy Eddie Money put on a great show too, Because my main attraction was for Trower I stayed for him. Trower was decent, but his base player had to leave every about every other song, was either to go do another couple of lines to continue, or he had a bathroom issue that evening. I can honestly say that Eddie Money stole the show from Trower, but Wishbone ash stole the show for the night. This was at Seland arena in Fresno. CA. Not sure what year that was but somewhere in the early to mid seventy's.
☮ Ah, os longínquos anos 70........ - tudo de bom. Saudades.
The Original Ash is the Best!!
Listening to their interview, I get a sense that they put a lot of thought into the making of their music. It wasn't haphazard. Every song was carefully mapped out. Compare them to a similar band like the Allman Brothers, they would probably tell you they had no idea how they came up with some of their music. Duane Allman and Dickey Betts jammed, the band followed and made it up as they went along.
My number one band….period. First 5 albums
Beautiful document 😊 First time I saw them in Düsseldorf's Philipshalle in the mid 70ies when AC/DC opened for them. Laurie Wisefield was in the band. The energy of the original lineup has never been surpassed.
Was Cliff in AC/DC at that point? The 2 ex-Home members on the same tour
@@konstantinov I am not sure, but I don't think so. The show was before 1977.

I just wish they would come to Denver Colorado
Ozzy is good on the albums . But hes fuckin shocking live singer. An awful noise comes out of him
It is just note perfect
Wishbone ash y’all are awesome!! Saw y’all twice in Mississippi!! Yea you rock!! 🥂👍🌸
Great album and awesome band! A friend had given this album to me, and It's been a real discovery of that band and their magical music. As a guitar player myself, it opened new horizons for me. Thanks for this very good making-off! 👍
