I have a 2023 i4 eDrive40 and my seat controls don't look anything like yours. Both of my front seats have electronic controls with lumbar support adjustments whereas yours look like mechanical levers. Do they have different seats in the UK versions?

Loving your channel mate, it's really helpful in weighing up between getting a hybrid or full electric. Hopefully will be getting an i4 in a few months time. Think I'd save a lot of money per year if I switched due to doing loads of long journeys too for work like yourself. My main worry is not being able to find charging points but I'm coming from Leeds where I'd be home charging and then London where I reckon I could find somewhere to charge...fingers crossed. Without making this too long a post, I'm moving hopefully in a year or so (to Kent) and dont think it's worth installing a charging point at home. IYHO do you think it would drive me mad 3 pin charging this car each day and maybe giving it a boost before long journeys on a quick charge point before trips to London or is it not feasible? I don't go to London more than once every 2-3 weeks and usually just do local trips.

Thanks for your vids! But what on earth happend to your tires? Did they crack? I mean even if they are worn they shouldn't seperate? Did BMW comment on that? Keep safe and always use the warning triangle if getting stuck on the road side :)

Can I ask you I picked up my i4 today and when I collected it dropped windows on open and auto closed with door . I feel I’ve pressed something cause now it’s stopped doing this . I kinda liked it and do want the drop to save space when getting in and out . Please help 🙏🏼

Looking at getting an i4 BMW are terrible for additional extras - want an air freshener holder £1000, I'm awaiting them charging for the steering wheel.

lol first point u give, the seats that u dont like. and u show the most cheap and crappy seats that arent even fully leather with the electric adjusting. then u cry about lighting and u have once again the crappiest non-adaptive headlights. im only 2 minutes into this video and im done :D

Re: Your complaint about tires on ice: Any sporty tire is not going to be good on ice. Sports tires are made up of a harder composite of rubber and when it gets cold they become rigid and won't grab the ice. Winter tires are made of a softer type of rubber, and also have much better siping (the thin lines cut into the rubber). This allows the tire to deform better and grip the surface. Due to soft rubber, winter tires will also wear out faster if you leave them on after the ice/snow clears.

I had a crash on the M2. Didn't record the 10 secs before/after. Other than that really happy with this car (i4 M50), cheap to run fast, reliable, well built, and the interior is so much nicer than Tesla imo. Thanks for posting

I commented yesterday about summer tyres. It's worth noting that summer tyres can indeed split in winter conditions, so it's something to be mindful of. Have you found yourself going through tyres more frequently with an electric vehicle (EV), or is that just an internet myth? Thanks.

Hello mate, honestly one of the best reviews I’ve seen on this car. Just open and honest about your personal experience which is great to hear. I get my i4 40 msport pro/tech pack on the new 24 plate in a few weeks time, can’t wait! I took this car for a test drive and I can honestly say I’ve never driven anything quite like it, but totally different experience from any car I’ve ever driven, and as you mentioned, just a comfortable drive. thank you for this video. This is a significant problem along with all the other problems that come with EV's. I had planned to buy a Taycan until I questioned the tyres and discovered that you can't purchase all-season tyres for 21-inch wheels. I would have to pay an extra £5000 to buy winter wheels, so I decided against the purchase. I wonder how many individuals are driving heavy EVs on the road, like your good self, unaware of the risks they face with summer tyres in winter conditions. Not everyone possesses this knowledge, and this information should be conveyed to consumers before making a purchase. While it's technically legal, just like smoking, it's not recommended for several reasons: Performance: Temperature: Summer tyres harden and lose grip below 7°C, impacting braking, handling, and cornering, especially in cold, wet, or icy conditions. Tread: Summer tyres have shallower treads and fewer sipes, which are essential for gripping snow and slush. Safety: Increased stopping distances: Braking distances can significantly increase on cold, wet, or icy roads, leading to accidents. Reduced control: Loss of grip can make it difficult to maintain control of the vehicle, especially during maneuvers or emergencies.

I have had an i4 for 1 year, have drove it 20k miles, and can confidently say that you are trippin. This car is beatiful, have no complaint whatsoever. The only part I can agree with you on, on the tires. They come with some shitty tires. I replaced them with the fire hawk Indy 500’s and they are a dream. Great for going fast.

Great honest review, many thanks. I'm looking to buy one soon. Personally, I think they look stunning, especially for an EV. My main concern was depreciation. I noticed a one-year-old model selling for £50k with hardly any miles. To buy new locally, they're asking for £80k (full specs), so that's a shocking £30k depreciation in just one year.

Bullshit! I have mine lowered with H&R springs! Its more comfy than original and 35 mm closer to ground! It would be nice if you talked about things you know instead of Killgissing!

Very personal. I actually had all different seats in BMWs. But I love the sensatec ones. I also traveled more than 1000 km seats. But I prefer these above the real leather ones. It also is not as hot in summer. Less sweatty

You should have fitted a set of Michelin Cross Climate 2’s - they would have sorted your winter driving issues (RWD) out too. They are great tyres - I have them on two of my cars.

Hey C101, great vid. Surprised you didn’t put winter tyres on… I’ve just put Michelin Cross Climate 2 on mine, after wearing out my rears after 10k miles. I don’t think I’ll keep them on permanently, but they’ll do for winter. It’s a beasty in the snow. One thing I never thought about was BMW recovery. I just kept my green flag going from the previous car I had. Is BMW recovery standard then? I must admit, I never read the paperwork with my i4.

I had the Same issue a couple of weeks back on the A299 Thanet Way. Bmw actually called me before I had chance to call them. Technician came out and plugged the tyre so I could continue and then took it to a tyre fitters who carried out a full repair. Agree that run flats are convenient and would allow you to continue your journey or at least get off the motorway.
