Cincinnati River Front Stadium Implosion Just the explosions frames, Implosion, Cinergy Stadium Explosion
Bye bye cookie cutter
"Scissor shaped across the bed, You are *red,* violent *red."*
I just saw Cam Miller’s documentary on Riverfront and even though I never got to see it, I miss it
Dec. 29, 2002
Can anyone tell me of a team that has actually won after a new stadium was built other than Cleveland
I have a ton of good memories in that once Beautiful structure & not very many in that ugly new stadium jmo
Whenever I went there it was comfortable it was like home it had different colored seats it was clean it was so easy to get in & out of parking very simple & everything was affordable
The place where Jackie robinson made his last public appearance shortly before passing away.
I for one was not excited to see Riverfront stadium imploded!! I have SOOOOO MANY MEMORIES at that stadium, as did many folks! GABP is a real nice ballpark and everything eventually has to be updated, just wish Riverfront could have been updated and the team stayed in there!
I actually like Riverfront Stadium better than I do great American ballpark
So many memories at river front
( T _ T )
sullyd where's it at ( T _ T ) the stadium
Man. All the "COOKIE CUTTER"!!!! stadiums from the mid 60`s thru the early seventies went in succession: FULTON COUNTY STADIUM was 1st, then in no particular order THREE RIVERS,BUSCH MEMORIAL,VETERANS STADIUM. I won`t include SHEA ,because somebody took a "BITE"!!!!! of that apple out in left,center, & right field. Tho PITTSBURGH had more glory. RIVERFRONT to me had the best "APPEAL"!!! even tho I`m from CHICAGO. BIG RED MACHINEs` WORLD SERIES` championships & playoff appearances, as well as the BENGALS` 2 SUPER BOWL appearances in `81 &`88. I still say Kenny Anderson is still the best qb 2 put on the black & orange. Those orange stripes r "FRIGID" cool!!!!!!
I just cried a little bit first time I've watched that
It is sad I never got to be alive to go to a game at Cinergy Field I was only 2 years old when they imploded it sad to rewatch a historic 30 years period come to an end I wish I was alive to see it in person.
😢 the end of an era
This is really sad to watch.
Why do people cheer when these stadiums are demolished
Mission accomplished.
Many, Many very good times at Cincinnati Riverfront Stadium., You will be missed.. A fan for 45 years.
C. Hahn but do u like the new stadium bro people said that stadium was.missed
I remember watching this, i was 3 years old.
So your 20 yrs old now
that was the best reds stadium that ever stand
Don't care about memories, excuse me? The fuckin' Big Red Machine played in that stadium. If they weren't Reds fans, they wouldn't have shown up. Riverfront, or any other cookie-cutter stadium, had nice memories, but they were so ugly, and by '02 so obsolete, why not change. The memories are nice, but at the same time, I wouldn't want the Reds to play in a stadium like that forever. You just have to move on at some point. Besides, GABP is a better looking ballpark anyway.
MrCincinnatian yes. And the views across the river is nice too. The only thing is that they treat the stadiums like shit. You look at the half ass welding jobs and it is cringy
@davidbfitz Because we Americans are a nation of idiots!
fuck you for stereotyping
Went there as part of a tour in 98'. The Reds were hosting the Cubs. While it's true alot of history took place there, there was nothing special about it.
I want to punch that guy who is whistling.
It’s 2020 now two decades after 🛑
@davidbfitz Because it looks awesome.
@davidbfitz Right on!
theyre cheering because its gone
I think that they're less cheering at the destruction, and more cheering at the fact that the engineers who designed the demolition did it right, and that the building actually collapsed as designed instead of doing something wonky like standing half-up.
I'll take both from u
@xxRaiderxx1000 0:21 Dad in the stadium>" OH......."
0:20 son inside the stadium> "Dad, I thought there was a game today" the dad inside stadium> "Well we will get to see the players first." construction workers> "Here we go in 3,2,1,"
Godspeed, Riverfront. We had some great times together.
I agree why do people cheer ? This was a ballpark that saw the Reds win 5 Pennats and Three WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS. Two All-Star Games, Aaron's 714 th home run,Perfect Games,No-Hitters,Rose's 4192 Historic Hit and countless other Major League Baseball's historic cornerstone events. Why cheer when this grand old lady dies?
Randy Marshall People have some kind of obsession with explosion
I miss Riverfront. I went there with my family for the first third of my life, and the remaining two thirds have been spent at Great American (which I’ve never been too fond of).
that was pretty impressive
@davidbfitz Because they like seeing it? What are you going to do, cry?
i remember as a kid we would travel from ft. wayne to riverfront see the big red machine back in the mid 70's. one time a guy barfed from the edge of the upper deck onto the folks below. good times.
@HarvestmanMan that would be GABP
cool!
Nobody seems to notice that the section on the right is still standing...
That's the GABP
***Muscle Flex!***
This was so much fun!
SO much fun to make!
i think this was not the best view
@davidbfitz yeah people in cincy always know how to ruin the moment
@davidbfitz i agree
Dumb people cheering they're own funeral for Big Red Machines house.So sad.
Kevin Miller --- completely agree with you. A bunch of stunned fu_ked up ignorants
Take it easy psychos
they put it under the how to and style category.
kinda a different feel from the demolition of Cleveland Stadium
@Mitch08320 Haha. Sounds about right to me.
