The Lír whistle is inspired by nearly a thousand years of
traditional celtic flutes and whistles, but has been designed with the modern player in mind. Having worked side-by-side with some of Ireland’s great whistle players, we have adapted a time honoured design to allow the player the ability to effortlessly flow across three octaves whilst maintaining a smooth tone.
What makes the Lír whistle unique is the specially selected materials used in the body of the whistle. We use much more copper in our brass compound. This makes the whistle much stronger and in doing so creates a much more stable sound, allowing the player to push the boundaries of what the humble tin whistle can do.
All our whistles are machined by hand, then fully inspected and played by our expert players here in the west of Ireland.

Because of the reviews from Joanie (whom I enjoyed seeing and hearing at the Javits Center in Boca Raton decades ago), Stephanie Burton "(Cutiepie") and Sean Cunningham ("Whistletutor"), I purchased a LIR, and let me tell you, this 16th whistle of mine beats all the others, including my John Sindt. Well worth the investment and wait for it to be made, engraved with my name, and shipped. "Kyle" and the LIR staff are awesome!

Very nice performance. I just wish UA-cam would stop using hyperbole in their video titles. This performance is not “ unbelievable Irish music”. It is played very well and ranks right up there with a lot of other professional Irish performers on UA-cam. Very enjoyable.

Great video! I am patiently waiting for my whistle to arrive here in Australia. I will say UA-cam has yet again changed its algorithm, and currently UA-cam shorts is a major way to get your video's seen at the moment as they're really pushing that due to trying to compete with TikTok. A lot of major creators I follow have said they're struggling to get the normal amount of views on videos and once they realised the change and they've started pushing shorts as well they've managed to get their presence back. UA-cam is quite frustrating as a platform with their constant changes to how content is pushed and ever evolving. More shorts as well as videos will really get your content into people's feeds. Thanks for the beautiful whistles you've created, it's amazing to see such a young company come onto the scene and impress so many great players out there. I'm so excited to own one it'll be the last whistle I buy.

i bought a lir key a i am a beginner and i must say it needs so little air it is my most beautiful whistle and really helpful to have a nice instrument when you begin because it is so easy to play. I love it. Wish you made some low key one's .

Hi lir question could you make a high whistle and piccolo/ fife hybrid instrument? An instrument that has a an interchangeable head piece so you could play the instrument like whistle then take the whistle head off and put the flute style head on and play it as a small transverse flute
