    Napoleon Hill’s Thought for the Day If you know your own mind, you know enough to keep it always positive. You may not fully understand the complex process that causes electricity to be generated and transmitted to your home. But you understand very well how to apply and use it to illuminate your home, power your computer, and perform hundreds of other essential tasks. The same is true of your mind. No one understands the incredibly complex workings of the brain; we know only that when we use our mind in a certain way, we achieve a desired result. If we think positively, we achieve positive results.

    Quote from New Life newsletter: Bygones Do not remember the former things, or ponder the things of the past. Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:18-19 You may have wasted the entire day, week or month up to this point. Yet that’s no reason to continue with the unproductive, negative pattern. No matter what has gone on before, you can make the most of right now. Any prior ineffectiveness cannot stop you from being truly and purposefully effective in this moment. You may have made a lot of mistakes and errors in judgment on your way to where you are. But that has nothing to do with where you can choose to go from here. Don’t worry about getting over the past. You are over it because you are here right now. Right now, your best dreams beckon. Right now, there is plenty that you can do. Can you feel the incredible freedom and opportunity that this moment represents? Take hold of that freedom, seize this precious, promising moment and live the life you are meant to live. Father in heaven, we are learning to let bygones be bygones. We don’t want to live in the past, but to walk into what You have for us today, in the now. Show us how to let go of what was, so we can move forward into what can be. Much like playing on the monkey bars when we were kids, we can’t move forward, unless we decide to let go of the bar behind us. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN! Let bygones be bygones.

    Napoleon Hill’s Thought for the Day Know your own mind, and you will be as wise as the sages. When you take charge of your mind, you take charge of your life. When you understand your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and desires, you can direct them to any end you choose. Wisdom comes from taking the time to study yourself, to know why you are the person you are. Taking charge of your mind is a thoughtful, reflective, solitary process. Only you can come to understand the complex inner workings of your own mind, and you must be willing to spend the time and effort that gaining such insight requires.

    Quote from Truth for life News Letter: No Effort is Wasted After everyone was full, Jesus told his disciples, “Now gather the leftovers, so that nothing is wasted.” John 6:12 Some of your efforts will bring valuable results. Other efforts will bring valuable experience. No effort is wasted when you choose to value it. Everything you do serves to eventually move you forward. Anticipate what might go wrong and take steps to avoid those things. But don’t make the mistake of avoiding action altogether just because there might be problems. When the goal is worthy and meaningful, get busy and make it happen. Focus on the end result, expect the best, and make the commitment to deal with any obstacles that might arise. Sure, it’s easy to compile a list of excuses for not taking action. But that will get you precisely nowhere. Though you know it won’t always be easy going, take bold steps forward anyway. Be willing to meet the resistance that you know will come, and to work your way through, and real achievement is surely yours. Father in heaven, today we are learning that nothing is ever wasted with You. Whether we succeed at what we are trying to do, or merely learn from the effort, nothing is wasted. Help us to walk and work boldly remembering this truth. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN! Nothing is a waste of time, if you use the experience wisely.

    This might sound really dumb but have you thought of using a $5 magnetic stirrer, beginning with the fuel (gasoline) stirring and then dumping the oil in on top of that, then just leaving it to mix on its’ own? In the old days using that kind of lab gear would be crazy but nowadays hipsters use them to mix coffee.

    Napoleon Hill’s Thought for the Day The mind never becomes tired, but sometimes it becomes bored with the “food” it gets. Computer experts use the acronym GIGO-garbage in, garbage out-to illustrate the fact that the computer can process only the information it is given. The same is true with your mind. If you feed it healthful, nourishing “food,” it will grow strong and agile, but if you restrict it to a regular diet of mental “junk food,” your mind will become unhealthy, negative, and unproductive. It will return to you what you put into it. Feed your mind a balanced, nourishing diet. Study information from a variety of fields to help you keep up with the latest trends. You may find that the best ideas for your business come from a totally unrelated area.

    The Cost of Waiting He who watches the wind [waiting for all conditions to be perfect] will not sow [seed], and he who looks at the clouds will not reap [a harvest]. Ecclesiastes 11:4 It is far easier to prepare for a storm when the skies are still clear. By the time dark clouds appear on the horizon, your options are drastically more limited and much less effective. The surest way to make a task more difficult is to put it off until later. The cost of anything continues to rise the longer you take to pay for it. Use this moment to create value instead of trying to borrow that value from the future. The sooner you make the effort, the more rewarding life will be. A small precaution right now can help you avoid big problems later. The most reliable path to a great accomplishment is to start working on it as early as possible. This is the moment when you can make a difference. Make full use of the opportunity that has come your way. Do the difficult things while they are still easy. Right now is the time to act so as to get the highest return for your efforts. Father in heaven, it’s been said waiting to jump in the water doesn’t make the water any less cold. Help us not to waste time waiting, but instead to jump in with both feet to what needs to be done. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN! Don’t wait for opportunity, create it.

    Napoleon Hill’s Thought for the Day The mind serves best which is used most. Do you have a continuous improvement program for your most valuable asset-your mind? Make sure that you spend at least a half hour each day studying, thinking, and planning. Review your long, intermediate, and short-term goals, and measure your progress to date. Are you on schedule for their completion? Ask yourself, “What information do I not have that would help me achieve my goals?” Then gather the information you need and get into action.

  • @Finom1
    @Finom1 4 дні тому

    Quote from New Life newsletter: Work on Your Weaknesses But He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough-always available-regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 By recognizing and admitting your own weaknesses, you begin to move beyond them. When you’re clear and honest about what you need to work on, you can make real progress. When you identify a weakness, you’ve found an opportunity. By exploring what’s holding you back, you can create a realistic and workable path to success. Weakness is nothing to hide from or to be ashamed of. For in each weakness is the promise of real strength. From each weakness there is much that you can learn. By understanding your limitations, you can find a way around them. Instead of constantly fighting against your weaknesses, work on getting rid of them completely. Then all your time and energy can be put into moving quickly ahead. Have the courage to look clearly at your weaknesses. What you’ll see in each one is the potential to create powerful, effective new strength. Father in heaven, it’s easy for us to focus on what we are already doing well and only try to improve on that. We don’t like looking at our weaknesses, let alone working on them. Help us to be courageous enough to look at the low areas in our lives and with Your strength begin to build and work on them. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN! Build up your weaknesses until they become your strong points.
