Why not just tie a good knot instead of crimp? What am I missing? The knots I tie are stronger than the string. Its like a good weld will not break before the material you are welding. The string will break before the knot or the crimp. Why risk a over cfimped line that could break when a knot will do better? I think alot of fishing has become over marketed. Spend more , spend more.

How to “knot” use tape to load braid….lol, do you recommend soaking the braid in water before loading onto the reel to increase tension?

i own this but cant get it to haywire at the start, All i get is a loose elongated barrel wrap. It is driving me nuts.. Barrel wrap at the end all good... just the haywire start is not happenning, maybe 1 in 5

Thank you for sharing! I would recommend a higher definition camera up closer.. I have recently switch to hollow Core. All of these videos are very beneficial to me others. But we struggle to see it perform slower and in greater detail

Howd u get the loop in the first place from reel? U skipped that part? I get when u buy a wind on it comes with loop right? But how do u make the loop from your mainline

I was scanning the internet, noticed you are representing Wahoo Industries. Let me share my experience as a retailer of their product line. I own CharkBait Sportfishing Supplies and did business with Wahoo, stocking and selling their product. Over the course of two years they made several unauthorized charges against our company credit card and double deposited checks we sent for payment of invoices for product. Once we discovered the billing we contacted them and our bank. Our bank was able to charge them back for near 20K, but Wahoo Industries did next to nothing to pay us back - claiming it was just a mistake to and to allow them time to pay us. It’s been years, and nothing has been repaid. Collecting from across the country isn’t easy, and time carries a cost, too. These are not honest people.

DONT buy accurate i decided to buy the best of the best reels bad move it broke down the first time off shore had it repaired at my expense now it broke down again on the second trip i asked to get a new v one or replace it quote me HE SAID I DONT CARE!!!! why waste time getting repaired at a accurate dealer . when he badmouth the repair shop not nice person i will ride this out until i get my money back or a new reel it will cost him 100000 of dollars when i continue to get new reel i promise to fight every day until i get a new reel or money back i have a t shirt that says i dont get tired until the job is done i WILL GET a NEW REEL !!!

I've fished with bucktails for many years and have tied them several different ways with good results. I like this setup alot. Im definitely going to tie some of these rigs and give em a go. I would like to know what size circle hookyou use for this rig. I think 2/0 hooks may be too small for fluke. Great videos by the way. Thankyou for making us better fishermen. 🎣

So I use a reel based on the line test AND if I’m fishing jigs or bait or both. The size of the fish caught is irrelevant. I’ve caught plenty of 200+ lb yellowfin on 60lb. Caught 2 90lb yellowfin one with a Penn 501 and 30lb and 1 with a Newel 500 or whatever and both reels blew up and we had to handline them in the rest of the way. What were you fishing on the 40 and what on the 30? On the sunset feature I would think it’s so you could break it off the bottom or when you get sharked and want to point your stick at ‘em and break ‘em off.

Can you splice 130 lb to 80 lb ?? I want to splice 100 yds of 80 lb hollow core onto my 130 lb reel. Is this possible? Will the 80 lb pull out of teh 130 lb>?

Question - both tag ends exit & re enter the line they are going inside of correct? It looks like just a few millimeters of line exiting & reentering the other.

Have you tested how much hollow core 200lb line really fits on this reel?
