If your bike is shifting hard or jerking when changing gears you may need to adjust the clutch. To adjust the clutch on a Yamaha ttr 90/110 you will need a high quality Philips screw driver and a 10 mm open end box wrench. This video shows how to clean the carb of a ttr-90. The bike is hard to start and doesn't idle well due to clogging of the pilot jet. Cleaning your carb can solve most poor running conditions including hard to start, poor idle, backfiring, lack of power, and stalling. Hope this video helps someone get their bike running. Yes you can use the stock honda exhaust on a Chinese engine swap. It might not be the best performance option for the larger engine but it will work and its easy and cheap. In this video we show you how to modify your stock honda exhaust pipe to work with a Chinese clone like a lifan 125. I reposted this video from my other channel before starting dirtybikeclinic.

When I downshift on my crf70 the bike locks up and slides, any suggestions? Is this normal?
Is is actually locking rear wheel up or just engine braking? Problems with the transmission could include loose shifting linkages or bent/worn shift forks. Unfortunately diagnosing the problem requires dissembling the engine and is expensive. If the rear wheel is locking up then the stress on the gears can crack the engine case. Sorry.
What is the “point of contact” the screw just gets tighter and tighter and I don’t want to strip it

I hope you can help. My 2022 crf50 sometimes finds a false neutral when I stop the bike in 2nd or 3rd gear and then try to shift down and go. It’ll make a grinding/rattling sound until I shift it down again. I am using what I feel is more than enough force while shifting.
It’s rare to have shifting problems with such a new Honda. Hopefully it’s not a bent shift fork. Does it jump forward when shifting into first from neutral? Idling high?
@@randomgenius8551. It stays stationary while in gear. The idle is set fairly low. If it was any lower it’d probably stall out.
I have a clicking sound in first gear. I have a feeling it’s missing a couple teeth. Is is repairable ?

I used a cheap pitbike cable similar length. Cost $15.

Hey man idk if your going to see this but I got a apollo 125cc I’ve look for so many videos on how they can help and really I’ve been so stressed out I’n life but the bike starts on choke up but when I put it down it turns off or sometimes it stays on with choke Down but when I rev it it dies and also when I ride it with the choke down it sounds like popping noises like popcorn I thought it was a misfire so I thighten the muffler also keep in mind I thought it was the carb so I bought a new one put the new one on and still having the same problem help?
I’m surprised that a new carb didn’t fix your problem. Sounds like a fuel problem. I would start with fresh fuel, replace fuel filter, and inspect/replace spark plug. Good luck.
U do realize u coulda just bought a $40 ebay exhaust and the bike wouldve ran mint right? If u spend $200-$300 on a aftermarket pit bike exhaust your an asshole.

What all did you have to buy extra my son's transmission just went on his 70 and I think it'll be cheaper to buy this motor
I am going back to 420 chain and sprockets on mine and using a 420h chain. outside that it was an easy swap. You may also need a new throttle cable depending on the package you buy, some are just motor and carb others have all the doodads

Sorry for the slow reply. Those thrust washers are a real pita. They are all different in thickness so you really need to keep them organized.

Hello, great video! I was wondering if you could suggest a starting point with an issue that I'm currently having with my 2007 Honda CRF50F. When I shift from neutral to first gear the bike wants to take off all by itself without me giving it any throttle what so ever. Enough so that I popped a wheelie and busted my ass pretty good. The only way you can take off without popping a wheelie is engaging the footbrake for the rear brake and shifting into first at the same time. Are they suppose to take off right when you shift into first?
Is the idle speed too high? If not you might need to adjust or do replace your clutch pack.

Not sure. A worn clutch slips the most in higher gears. Hopefully you only need to replace the clutch discs. Not fun opening the transmission most don’t get reassembled.
Do you know how to install a light kit? I got a kill switch which connects under the fuel tank I was thinking taking the kill switch off and using the wire for the light kit but that would mean I won't have a kill switch and I really would like to have both. (first pitbike/new to this)
Same problem with my 06 RMZ 250 , i recently cleaned the carb , but had no cleaner and got a new spark plug as well. My bike still bogs out and backfires now
Backfiring is often caused by too much fuel or bad timing. Check your spark plug and air filter.
@@randomgenius8551 thanks for the information my bike was perfectly fine and one ride it starts acting like this . I did buy a new spark plug bc my old one was rusting , but my air filter is really dirty in need of a new one forsures

I got a complete used transmission from an another engine. An aftermarket 4 speed kit is available for the 50 and 70. It was relatively easy to replace but I mixed up the thrust washers and had to take it apart and reassemble several times.
