P-51s overall need a lot of energy to maneuver well so I would definitely try to keep your speed up when flying it. If you boom and zoom in the P-51, you're going to be very deadly.

@@lucA10Thunderbolt yea I found it extremely good at BnZ because it's very aIgile in a deep dive. But mb5 also has the worst retention in the world so I have to extend away and regain my alt patiently once I miss the target

You're correct, my research resulted in the same information and that only a small amount of Yak-9Ks were actually produced. The Yak-9K was a modified subvariant of the Yak-9T, the Yak-9K's 45mm cannon reduced the flight performance heavily to the point where Yak-9Ks were assigned heavy fighter duties and actually had to be escorted by Yak 3s in case of failure. It saw limited production as German bombers decreased.

Yeah lol, I had to make sure my research was correct too. You're not wrong, the G-14/AS does have a high altitude optimized engine. The G-14/AS is not considered "bad" at high altitudes, I was trying to compare it to the other 109s and how they are going to be a little bit better at the more extreme altitudes. The way that the engine is designed kind of hinders the performance of the G-14/AS at extreme altitudes, that's why it prioritizes the lower to mid range altitudes. The G-14/AS's engine struggles to maintain optimal efficiency at extreme altitudes dues to limitations in supercharger design. I hope this helped!
