    Was this epoxy grout? Was the grout sealed prior to it getting dirty? In conditions like this often the grout can get stained and seem to be impossible to remove the stain. Just curious.

    It's been a few decades since I've done this, but if I remember correctly, isn't there a 'burning the wax into the floor' step with a buffer pad?

    • @JaimeJasso-de3dw
      @JaimeJasso-de3dw 3 роки тому

      That is correct, I have a Commercial Cleaning Business in Texas and we have done this type of works many times. It is a time saver and safer for the finish to Burnish the floor once the finish is completely dry. However, what they did in the video is wait for 24 hours, which is safe for the finish as well. The reason why we burnish the finish once is dry is because is time saver for a business and for employees as well. Most importantly, it prevents the heavy furniture to stick to the finish and damage what you have done...Some people use this method of waiting time for 24 hours and is not wrong, this method is coming from somewhere. What i know is that sometimes, depending on the area were you live or just depending on the weather, the floor just don't want to dry as fast as we want to and this is because sometimes there is humidity in the building or underneath the floor, specially if its is a rainy day or even worse, a rainy cold day...

    Could you kind of ghetto it with an oreck orbiter (similar to what you used to agitate) and a shop vac?

  • @YR7A
    @YR7A 4 роки тому

    the carpet stayed the same color all the way through, all you did was vacuum it after you took the "before" pic, then slightly agitate it. not much was done in the way of cleaning, and all of that dirt is just sitting there because you didn't bother to extract it.

    • @wtfamidoingtoday5092
      @wtfamidoingtoday5092 4 роки тому

      Well I could be wrong but..... the Rotovac 360XL hooks up to our truck mounted hot water extraction system. The big blue hose is for extraction, the smaller blue hose brings 180 degree water to the rotovac which comes out at 400psi onto the carpet, and the black cord is an extension cord for the rotovac. But, ya we just vacuumed the carpet.......Thanks for watching and providing us with your professional opinion.

    • @YR7A
      @YR7A 4 роки тому

      @@wtfamidoingtoday5092 you see that cute little clear pipe going out of the machine? Yeah, 0 water was going through that pipe throughout the entire process, that's why I said you didn't bother to extract it. that and 400psi is absolutely nothing, most mid range truck mounts can do at least 900, but this is rarely used as most cleaners use 600-800, such as the CX-15's I employ, and your water should not be just water, it should be absolutely steam, unless you're working on CGD where you'd need to turn that down to about 100-130 to make sure you don't damage the adhesive that holds the carpet in place, this is a special circumstance however, and most cleaning is done with solely steam. by saying "then slightly agitate it" I implied that cleaning solution was used, you clearly took what I said entirely out of context.
