When they actually show the workload of the anonymous painters and artists without mentioning their salaries it's quite revealing. They work long hours, on a mind-numbing amount of frames. I animate too, I have animated thousands of frames, but at least I was working independently for a decent profit. It's hard labor, not physically, but psychologically, doing someone else's art, as opposed to an essential service or creative pursuit that is intrinsically fulfilling
The decline of the show started once they move away from real painted cels
"the high wage problems"
Great song + Great movie= Masterpiece
Imagine how much yellow paint they had to buy
I think they did animation for first couple of seasons of Arthur also?
WHEN BART SAYS "HEY MAN", HE NEEDS TO LOOK LIKE HES SAYING: "HEY MAN". ~ Frank Shin.
What was the incident in 2000 regarding 64 korean animators?
4:20 rei
This is sad
Evan Peters and Barry Keoghan are brilliant in this film. A must watch.
wait... the Simpsons are cartoons...?
*SOUTH Korea. ...not the good Korea...
I have this feeling Homer strangling Bart is like every Asians referance with a strict scary dad and their son. We may not get strangled but we do get disciplined very harshly if we have bad grades or commit small crimes like fighting, stealing, underage smoking, etc
It’s really interesting how a lot of American shows and pretty much all now get animated in Asia. ToonCity (filipino animation studio) animated most of the Disney cartoons in the 90s
Tooncity is a sweatshop studio. There's this Twitter about this Filipino animator who transferred from Toei Animation Philippines working on Pretty Cure to ToonCity for My Little Pony, and there were horror stories.
4:23 that’s disrespectful of the Simpson writers to do that.

Shut up dude
Evan is like a drug, he makes me feel high! Love this scene and the song is killer!
They didnt do animation for Arthur and pinky and the brain also?
Wow, Thanks!
Great movie!
Great film. Tragic comedy of errors and I honestly feel bad for these boys. Just young, invincible, and incredibly dumb.
Even now It isn't even appreciated how much work goes into animation, especially when that animation is done in other countries
The animation of these old seasons was so well done, kudos to all of them.
It's also common to have Japanese animators (such as TMS) work on U.S. cartoons as well. Either way, this video is why I enjoy behind-the-scenes extras.
In France a collaboration between a small French studio and TMS formes DiC
There's a little bit of Lupin the 3RD in every U.S. cartoon
Blown away by the crisp, beautiful art animation. I never approved of the strangle nonsense either. Your work is excellent. Thank you.🧡 .
Cool
These guys are legends because of the artwork that went into the show.
Great animation over the years 👏👏👏
only south park and disney /pixar cartoons are made here eveything else in korea
TMS Entertainment On Steroids
Great movie and great song
3:08 WHY YOU LITTLE!!!!
this scene is so fire i always rewatch over and over
lol
All i remember was an episode where someone said "koreans did animating me" and they purposely didn't lip sinc that part
4:35 I like how he talks about it so seriously with pauses like he's recalling some korean war memories 😂
It's a Mind control technique used for "escapism" ..
He clearly didn't watch the episode
ohmigod this entire thing did not age well
Like why?

¿Por qué recién ahora me estoy enterando?
Imagine if the animation studio getting credit, then the audience know that the US cartoons are made from south korea
They make small parts the whole story and storyboards and key frames are made in the US. It's still an american cartoon, the koreans just draw a few photos.
@@octopuss1918 How can they make key frames if their job is to storyboard?
@@octopuss1918 you acting as if keyframes are easy to do
@@octopuss1918 First of all that's very arrogant to say they draw a "few photos". They're 18-24 frames in a sec an episode is 25min longs that is about 30-36k pictures. They literally draw 90% if the frames. That is why it is outsource because of how much labor work it takes. I do agree that it's still an American cartoon, but you literally said something so arrogant and need to be educated about it
Also, the overseas animation studios themselves get credit.
For a show made in Korea, it sure makes fun of Japan a lot.
Well, the scripting is done in America if I understand correctly. It's just the animating that's done in Korea.
@@adamdavis1648 it was a joke
@@jessepinkmansimp6090 Sorry, I honestly couldn't tell.
I think Koreans learnt a lot about animation from the Japanese because Japan used to outsorce their animations to South Korea too so they (Koreans) had to learn the Japanese animation techniques.
Making fun of Japan is a honored Korean Pastime
whats the movie?
