I bought the 3CD soundtrack of Final Yamato(which had pieces that were not in the film and an epic version of the Yamato song)and this track is included, but it didn’t have the choral backing. It is still a great piece of music.

いつ聴いても色褪せな素敵さがある曲です。日本語バージョンと違い演奏がTV版で使われた演奏ですね。

ホント贅沢な音楽です…。作曲家のお二人はもちろん尊敬に値するけれども、ヤマト第一作の時から音楽に力を入れて制作陣を引っ張った西崎Pの凄さが、社会人になって仕事でチームを任された後に分かった。情熱を語り、共有し、結果を出すのは並大抵のことではない。

ヤマトの沈み行くシーンのポスターをシワが入らない様に抱えて写真屋に持って行ってパネル(当時5,000円だったかな)にしてもらって今まだ玄関で陣取っています😊　ディレクターカット版前の映画版をLDで持ってるはずなんだけど、見る機械が無いから確かめられないし、見られない😢😢😢 追伸　LDからBlu-rayにダビングしてもらったらディレクターカット版後だった〜😢˚‧º·(˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )‧º·˚

ヤマト完結編めちゃくちゃ好き😊 特に音楽が偉大すぎて最高すぎる 完結編だから本当に力を入れた作品 ただ、ストーリーがどうしても尺稼ぎにしか見えなくなるのは気のせいかな😅 ストーリー展開だとさらばが好きだね さらばはテンポよく結構いいし 一方完結編はストーリーはいいんだけど、どうしても時間かけすぎにしか見えなくなる　まあ、それでも好きなんだけどね😊

This is good, but it's clearly a completely new set of lyrics, rather than an attempt to render the sense of the Japanese lyrics in English. The original Japanese lyrics are more wistful and less hopeful. The singer is clearly uncertain of his return home.
