Dsi Pro-2 Depeche Mode - Wagging Tongue Synth step by step.
For best results you can record the synth without the internal delay, then pan the sound to the right and add a mono delay from your DAW to the left.
You can sculpt the sound with an equalizer and reverb.
I just wanted to use the synthesizer´s capabilities.

This is so great! You solved a mystery for me too. I was trying to use my ears to see if the bassline was made of any other notes another two notes at each end of the octave, but you should brilliantly how sculpting the sound brings in the illusion of other notes, esp. as you start tweaking at 2:30 and drop out some of the notes for spaces. Does that sense of illusion make sense to you?

I ned to try and make this on my Minilogue xd but as im a beginner it will probably take me a week.
I love it BUT (I hate to be that guy) but this pattern is only the first 2 measures of a 4 bar pattern. Bars 3 and 4 are very different from 1 and 2. You have to listen to the song carefully, even slow it down a little to hear the pattern in bars 3 and 4. On the 3rd bar, you clearly hear additional beats come in. Even I am having trouble isolating the exact pattern to 3 and 4. And it's driving me INSANE! ;) - aaaaand I found a bass tab video that expands on this one. BTW....fkn-awesome dude!
That's right, but the sequencer of Pro-2 only has 32 steps, on a pro 3, with 64 steps I would have done it that way. 😉
