      Sounds like it needs a total reset. There are other videos on UA-cam that deal with wiping the motor memory and starting fresh with a new resetting of the open and closed stop limits.

    Absolutely amazing!!!! Great job central Florida awnings! By far the best company I worked with for a long time…. The customer service and attention to detail was over and beyond of what I expected! Thanks Jamie for not pressuring into something I didn’t need and the installers were outstanding! Very professional. They left my back porch cleaner then when they arrived. Just can’t put into words just how happy my experience was with purchasing my new awning from Central Florida Awnings! Highly recommended!!!!!

    I have the opposite problem, mine is straight! Why is it a problem? Rain accumulation when I'm not home. Even being out 2 feet creates a water bubble. I've found my level Sunsetter electric awning looking like a hammock full of water, sagging the center section. I need to adjust mine to shed water accumulation off to the side so it doesn't build up in the center. How much of a deliberate tilt do I need to make in order to have the water run off the side when it rains?

    • @CentralFloridaAwningsLLC
      @CentralFloridaAwningsLLC 11 місяців тому

      Well, I would try different amounts of pitch until you find the right angle. Each situation will be different and there’s no exact answer for that question. I know I had 2’ of pitch on my personal awning and never had an issue. Your mileage may vary.

  • @daveleary5830
    @daveleary5830 Рік тому

    I have a 2 part question. 1. How do I pitch the awning to direct rain water off to the side of the awning mostly because of, 2. When it rains and I'm not home, the water pools in the center and sags the awning in the middle. I would like the water to drain off the open awning so I can leave it partly open for protection when I come back home in bad weather. Would the issue you fixed in this video be the answer I need to do?

    • @CentralFloridaAwningsLLC
      @CentralFloridaAwningsLLC Рік тому

      First off, I would never leave the awning unattended if there was a chance that rain could build up on it. If it’s not pitched enough for the rain to run off, then it should be rolled up. But yes, if you planning leaving it unattended, you should make sure, without a doubt, that the awning is pitched enough that the water runs off. Some people, myself included, pitch just one arm of the awning so that the water will run off one side. It looks a little silly because the awning isn’t level, but I don’t mind. It keeps the awning from being damaged by the elements and avoids repair bills. Hope that helps.

      I live in Massachusetts where we say that if you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes, it'll change! Even out 2' it collects rain in the center. I have to wait for a sunny day to put it back out to tighten back up in the sun. I'll adjust my awning for functionality, not appearance. Thanks!@@CentralFloridaAwningsLLC

      You need to replace the batteries in your wireless wind sensor. Google “Somfy wireless wind sensor battery replacement” for UA-cam video. You probably don’t want to pay a service call charge for something like that.

      @@marcuskoll355 yes. This is why it’s best to go through a dealer and have them take care of all of this for you. We come out and assess your situation and needs with tears of experience and insight. We know what things to look out for and what to avoid up front. We also can help you avoid things that can be a waste of money up front, as well as down the road. Then we can provide professional installers and a warrantied installation. However, if your set on doing everything on your own, I’d suggest contacting SunSetter directly.

    Do you sell replacement arm clamps? Looks like the previous home owner left all the weight on the adjustment screws without tightening the set screws and the clamps are all jammed up now.

      @CentralFloridaAwningsLLC Рік тому

      If you have a Sunsetter, which it sounds like you may, I would suggest contacting them directly first. Give them your address and they should be able to pull up the history for your specific unit. They can tell you exactly what kind of arm clamps you would need, and they will be able to sell them and ship them directly to you. Their number is 1-800-670-7071 if you need any more direction please feel free to reach out to us again.

    • @CentralFloridaAwningsLLC
      @CentralFloridaAwningsLLC Рік тому

      Sounds like you have arms that have internal cables. Unfortunately, there is no fix for that. We would just replace the entire arm, and more than likely, both arms would need to be replaced. You can contact us using the Contact Form on the website if you’d like to explore that further.

    Very easy to do but it didn’t raise the pitch still low???

    • @CentralFloridaAwningsLLC
      @CentralFloridaAwningsLLC Рік тому

      If you turn the adjustment screw to the right, it will raise the awning. It’s helpful to have someone raise the arm so that it takes pressure off the screw while you are turning it. If the screw won’t budge, you could possibly have a bad arm clamp/shoulder. That does happen occasionally. Feel free to contact our office if you’d like to schedule a service call if you continue to have problems. 844-629-6464

    I tried adjusting the front screw but it seems to be either too tight or won’t budge for me to raise one arm that’s drooping. Do I need to loosen the set screw more or do I try to brute force the front one?

    • @CentralFloridaAwningsLLC
      @CentralFloridaAwningsLLC 2 роки тому

      With the awning open, have a helper use a broom or something similar to raise up the front bar of the awning approximately 2’-3’ higher than the desired height. This should take the weight off the adjustment screw, allowing you to turn it. Hopefully that helps.

    • @npmerrill
      @npmerrill 2 роки тому

      Nope. You have to remove the arm cap (it’s easy to pop off by hand), then loosen the large nut (it’s called the Arm Clamp Lock Nut) about 1/4 turn. The manual says no more than 1/4 turn, but I had to go about 1/2 turn. Once that nut is loosened a little (I used an adjustable wrench), and the rear set screw is loosened, you will be able to turn the front set screw to adjust awning pitch to desired height. You still need a helper to lift the front bar a little above desired height while turning front set screw. Then tighten the rear set screw and remember to tighten the large nut back to where it was, replace arm cap by lining up tabs, and you’re done.
