Well, the stories about progeria/Changling babies say that you can 'trick' the Fairies into either revealing themselves, or returning the baby they supposedly stole. It usually involves brewing bear in an eggshell to get the Changeling to call you out on what you're doing and reveal themselves. There were other options, but I don't recall what they were right now. But the supposedly stolen babies are almost never returned. Keep in mind that Fairies can cure most physical ailments according to the stories and that they live in literal paradise and are superhumanly strong. They are also way smarter than a Human so the cited reasons for taking Human babies are laughable at best.

I think people forget dating is the stage before a relationship and it's normal to date multiple people before you have a relationship with one.
