Pigs are not born naturally social or trusting. Unlike a puppy, a piglet is not born tame. They are prey animals in the wild and instinctively will be nervous and want to flee as a response to movement, noise, or touch. Because of this, pigs require socialization and desensitization by the breeder in order to become socialized pets. We spend countless hours from day one to make them well socialized pets. It is our top priority to prepare our piglets for their new homes and to set each pig up for success so that they are prepared for everyday life once they leave our care.
