      @@matheussantos3127 I’m not 100% certain (it’s been a second since I used OTOY), but I think you can achieve similar results with a mix material node and I believe there’s a color node you can pipe into the materials diffuse channel.

    • @jrhanshiu2091
      @jrhanshiu2091 5 місяців тому

      You can pipe the RGB spectrum node into the diffuse and transmission to create a similar texture! Add a Color correction node to adjust the color for transmission. Hope this helps :)

    Thank you! What's the difference between adding a plane and put gobo texture on it and adding the gobo texture directly to the spot light? Any reason to prefer one to the other? Thank you again!

    • @niclanzillo
      @niclanzillo 10 місяців тому

      You can absolutely do either method. I enjoy the "art directing" aspect a bit more using the plane. Able to control distance of the plane to both my scene and the light, but you can achieve similar results with either option. Hope that helps!

    I use the Dynamesh Master Plugin from Maxon. Having a very beefy computer, I can specifically tell Dynamesh how many polygons I want on the model. Dynamesh, Decimation Master and Zremesher respectively, give. Me the high and low poly models needed for Substance 3D or Marmoset. Great video. Thanks…

    How can I use motion GOBOs on c4d ? like leaf motions ( something like using videos or ... )

    • @niclanzillo
      @niclanzillo Рік тому

      Hey Iman - So I've found two ways to go about this. The first way is you can import an image sequence into a texture node. You would then click the "animation" tab in the node, need to set the mode and timing, and finally click to "detect frames". The second way is you can animate the Maxon Noise node in the editor. You should find an "animation" section. Just set a speed and it should populate in the rs renderview. Hope those help!

  • @nuccisimone
    @nuccisimone 2 роки тому

    But wait, I don't understand this. Why would you do it this way when you can just add a cinema noise texture to your light (whether it's a spotlight or an area light) and get exactly the same result?

    • @niclanzillo
      @niclanzillo 2 роки тому

      Hey Simone, you certainly can add a shader graph to any RS light and achieve similar results. There's more than one way to skin a cat. I've always liked having the plane set as my texture, in the event I want to slightly move the positioning of the texture. Feels a bit easier to move in space (and a bit more like artistically directing a scene) vs. nudging an offset within a node. Appreciate the comment, bud!
