Focus on bike infrastructure neglects the rest of us who ride on regular roads
Most cyclists - like most Americans - don't live in big cities so why do so many cycling groups focus on specific bike infrastructure specific to such environs that is irrelevant to the rest of us who ride on the road?

Turn signals exist so you don't kill someone -- use them

Nat'l helmet mandate proposed for cyclists - just a distraction from the problem of road safety
Переглядів 224 роки тому
Heard on the radio this morning, the fed. gov't has recommended a national helmet mandate law for bicyclists. This sounds like a great way to shift the focus away from the problem of careless behavior responsible for crashes like cell phoning while driving etc. While I always wear a helmet I think this sort of mandate is a horrible idea. If you want to prevent crashes, putting the focus on whet...

The Smithsonian Magazine: whitewashing Che Guevara?
Переглядів 1055 років тому
Read a recent article in Smithsonian Magazine about Che Guevara's son, and found it very disturbing. It seems the article left out the nature of Mr. Guevara, namely, he was an executioner who shot defenseless people in the head, not some noble revolutionary. Why would a supposedly reputable publication not even mention the true nature of Mr. Guevara and what he represents? Does the Smithsonian ...

Yes. Because rednecks like you wanna block handicap spots and don't care and just wanna bother neighbors.
Cool
Beautiful😍😍 i have 1997 CANNONDALE F-2000 im almost done fully restoring it, it will be posted on my utube very soon,
Have respect for nature. It does not exist just for your amusement.
Probably hard to keep up with the news when there is a mass shooting every other day in the USA
Good stuff man
Damn, epic bro
The look and feel of those vintage Cannondales is sublime ^_^
Great video. THis is usper helpful. 10 stars out of 10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!!! ( also really nice bike so beautiful)
I ride 86 motioncraft with 105 groupset, just love the downtube shifters, indexed and fiction, still work great, no plans to change
Is this the Norman tinker sword? How has it held up? Thanks
I bought my M400 used and have been riding it close to 20 years. This bike fits me like no other and is a joy to ride.
When’s the baby due?
How much does one of these weigh?
What tire size is that in the video? Can 29X2" be fit on an H400?
I seen one of these kona dawgma in a pawn shop a day ago for $200 is that a good price or should it be cheaper? condition looks similar to yours its 2008 model. I will have to check the cranks and gears, give it a test ride if i do decide to pull the trigger.
I've heard that Hanwei jobs out everything so quality from one product to the other varies wildly
Although an older video it still brought me new information to help me purchase this sword thankyou 🔥🔥👏
I like stem mounted friction shifters myself. Stem mounted shifters allow for a cleaner looking cockpit.
Just picked up a Comfort 400 at a pawn shop. Handmade in the USA.
I am currently resurrecting a 2004 F400(last year of the US models, I believe), throwing a pile of good age correct upgrades at it. Loved the bike, got when I was 13, rode daily until 2019,(got 7 years of relentless abusing out of it and still the frame is perfect) and am now rebuilding the entire thing so I can hit the trails again!
I gotta do this. Im hoping i can get it done right with a Sora triple shifter/brake lever and a triple front derailleur as you did. Someone gave me a Scott Speedster but it didnt have cranks on it. I had a double chainring crankset that fit perfect with the bike. Just hoping to get the shifting up front right.
Those era frames are only 3.7 lbs. I have a 89 sm400 i agree it is super smooth to ride
Thank you for your analysis 👏 Be well and all the best
Just put 140-150psi in the headshok and it won’t dive. Performance Bike offers a seal kit to rebuild the headshok. Don’t put a conventional fork. I have the same bike, color and all.
Great review. It's still hard to find reviews of this rapier. Other than yours and one other with the 40+ inch blade, I haven't found anything. Thank you.
Would you consider selling your browning safari 1?
Knife company's should be sued for using T6 , I HAVE stripped my share trying to take apart a knife. I looked your video up because right at this moment I'm trying to remove the clip but there is to much T lock, So Im heating it up with a heater it's on a PM2. and I'm praying I dont strip it
Stupid
One just came up In my area for $120 on Offer Up. I’ve always loved the way Cannondale bikes feel.
M300
My brand new endura warncliffe screw stripped right off the jump.
Pocket clip on my Para 3 wasn't moving and all three were starting to strip. Using the t-6 so I heated up the tip of my t-7 with a propane torch then just set it in the stripped part of each to get them nice and warm. Right after that all three came off really easy. It is some kind of loctite they are using that just needs alittle heat. Mine didn't have any red thank God. It looked like something white. Never heard of white only red and blue.
I had the same Judy fork on my Schwinn MOAB1. Very good and under rated shock i say
I bought cheapest of cheap department bike (Roadmaster Mt. fury) and rode it frequently for a decade. Yes dept store bikes are not as good as higher priced bike shop bikes. But that doesn't mean you can't use it for long time, especially if you are handy with maintenance and repairs. I also had a higher quality Raleigh touring bike, but I prefer to ride cheap roadmaster as it was more comfortable. Now if you said we shouldn't be buying anything from China as reason not to buy dept store bikes, that would be a valid reason. But then 99% of bikes out there are made in China these days.
I just got a 4500 19.5" 26 rims on OfferUp for $100 in great condition with some upgrades. The hardtail seat will be replaced with something comfy. Also will be adding a 750 w mid-drive motor!
Heat treat it in that weak spot
Recently installed downtube shifters on my late 90s Lemond Zurich. Hadn’t used them for a long time but after a few rides was friction shifting easily again. Loving it. Decided to use it for my daily training. I can do all the maintenance on it and leave the new road bike for occasional group rides and sportives.
cant hear anything even with sound at max.
I don't think that the flexibility is the reason rapiers are light or heavy. It more has to do with the tempering of the blade. A thin and light blade on something like a smallsword can be rock solid if quenched quickly. It more has to do with the weight of the amount of hilt and the length of the blade.
There are several types of Katanas, and there were some very long katanas that were meant for horse back fighting during a war way back when. They became shorter over time to suit the more peaceful times after this war, and the samurai adapted their fighting arts to quick draw and slice on the way out of the hilt (like in the traditional teachings of Iaido) should the need arise.
you're talking about a Tachi not a Katana
Its nice enough. I have been looking at the damascus version since its carbon steel instead of stainless. I worry about their temper though. Ive seen their xiphos bend in cutting tests.
I just got one and its beautiful
I loved this show. I bought it on disc decades ago, and do not regret the purchase.
Best way to get them out, other methods have much more risk than reward
I own a 2015 Misceo 2.0 I bought used for 350. The bike was very, very lightly used. I added a handlebar riser because I was getting neck pain being bent over and looking up on 10mi plus rides. It runs great and is fast. So far I've done multiple 25+ mile Greenway rides around Nashville. Headed to Natchez Trace very soon. Thanks for sharing your insights and appreciation for this great machine.
i have a f600 dd50 shock head 24 speed c.a.d.2 hand made by 1 person, new are crap made in tiewan, junk. frames cheap as hell.still aluminum thin as beer can.been offerd 500 cash from a buddy. told him go buy a new 1.hahaha.all wan,t the older 1s
Thanks you very much, I have been looking for a video just like this and couldn't find anything on older kit. Thanks for your help
Drillium always occurs after a few beers. 😄
I’m want a bike to ride around town and forest preserves… would this be a good bike for those kinds of things are should I look for something more modern?
