    I had to stop the video at where you started chainsaw. Why pick on large dirty difficult logs and did you at least have hearing protection, 😮

    • @twocrowsdown
      @twocrowsdown Місяць тому

      I put hearing protection on while the saw was warming up - you would have seen it if you watched for another five seconds. And that log, old and dirty as it appeared, was prime seasoned jarrah ideal for keeping the house warm.

    If this is in Victoria, you're breaking the law because you're not allowed to collect wood that is visibly hollow or has over 50% moss or fungi cover, and the log and stump at the start of the video are clearly covered in more than 50% moss.

      The fuel in those trailers belongs to a customer who is paying us to transport it for them. If I had a trailer full of T Bone steaks, beer or the latest Apple or Samsung phones and I opened up the back doors and helped myself to some of the load it would be stealing. It’s the same with the fuel in those tankers.

    • @twocrowsdown
      @twocrowsdown 9 місяців тому

      I’d start by looking at this information from our Department of Transport in Western Australia : www.wa.gov.au/service/transport/road-transport/transfer-your-overseas-drivers-licence If your country is recognised by our regulators it will be easier to transfer over a basic car drivers license - when it comes to the different classes of truck license I'm not sure. This link will explain the classes of license available here and what you can drive : www.transport.wa.gov.au/licensing/vehicle-classes.asp To help you understand a little - my truck requires a MC (Multi Combination) license meaning I can drive the biggest trucks on our roads all the way down to a car. Motorcycles are a different category (R) and there are several other specialty classes, all listed on the page. There is contact information there if you want to ask for more information.

    I forget how much harder you guys have it seeing you get excited over a couple of water tanks and basics facilities....when it's pretty much normal to have toilets running water table chairs bins here in NSW rest areas. I will one day get over there and have a go for something completely different then running east coast...see how it's done and get experienced in the outback. No offence I only found this channel and video I'm just not sure why or what's the purpose of these videos because so far and if other videos are the same I won't subscribe I thought operators out west are hard because all I hear I wine, wine, wine about every little thing truck doesn't do this truck does that my old Volvo does this and that oh the fridge is to hard to get to oh my seat isn't right.....sounds like a European truck driver problems....some people would be very happy behind the wheel of a Mack truck.

      I whine because I’m getting old and everything hurts. Nah, seriously - if I didn’t want to be there I wouldn’t be doing it (but lower back support is very important to me 😂). I don’t expect everyone to like the videos or agree with me. If you like ‘em then subscribe - if not, you’ll find others here making the sort of videos you want. That’s the beauty of UA-cam.

    • @twocrowsdown
      @twocrowsdown 9 місяців тому

      Actually, it’s a 600. Wish it was 700. The ride is a bit harsh - there’s 5 axles under that prime mover. It hits every bump five times…then there’s the trailers. But it does track well at speed.

      @twocrowsdown 9 місяців тому

      Hey mate, we're allowed 100kph (or 62mph) on the open road. Quite often I find myself travelling slower due to crap roads. Due to the size of the vehicles and the weights we carry I wouldn't feel comfortable travelling much faster - just too much to go wrong if you pop a steer tyre and in the heat you have to look after the rest of your tyres anyway. Got the all clear from the Doc re the skin cancer removal, thanks for the well wishes.

    Oh wow. Great use of the camera angles. That's awesome. You're really getting into it now. Hearing those hot temps...I have to laugh as I've got 4 weeks off over Christmas. Starting in Tasmania, Melbourne, Sydney then ending back in Melbourne. It's hardly been more than 23. I see you did some engine/cab noise. That's the problem with having a European truck. There is no real engine noise. You might like that but my 909 doesn't have all the rattles you Merc does. Oh no. Fully loaded it grosses 116 tonne. As for it being a European truck - a truck is a tool to do a job, some do a certain job better than others. I would have preferred this one to have a larger cab to make it easier to live live in for the seven day shift ( I tend to bring too much stuff but food, clothes and bedding take up room ).
