Student Teachers - Looks (Original version at CORRECT SPEED of song covered by Mike Doughty)
Переглядів 8 тис.14 років тому
The Student Teachers were one of the best New York City bands of the late 70's early 80's. They were regulars at CBGB's. Here is their song Looks that was covered by Mike Doughty.
I think it would be so much more hard to pull off Hank's double-speak than to speak it normal. Consider to then add in all the facial contortions while speaking so goofy??? Amazing!
Many great characters in that show, but Hank stole every scene he was in
Hank Kimball. The OG of anal retentsion!
some of these Brian songs along with Kate Bush are the non-trashy side of the 80's
Is this song about how hes trying to get his semen to creep up to his pineal gland?
Hank Kimball was the funniest
It's cute that he performed this without changing any of the lyrics ;)
Beautiful Brian right there! But I always imagine Landy composing with him. Sounds like Landy was like “no! That’s too sad. Make it more upbeat! Who’s gonna like a sad pity 40 year old man?”
So nice to see Brian looking and sounding so good. There's no doubt that Gene Landy saved Brian's life.
Uhhhh that’s a stretch dude… Landy caused him so much irreparable harm that he was never the same mentally… who cares about the weight loss if he had permanent brain damage from medical malpractice?
mr.kimball has the senile joe biden diease
Good morning. Well, it’s not a good morning. It’s not a bad morning, either.
Classic Kimball!
Mr Kimball is my favorite lol
Mr Kimball the mother know the father it might be the uncle lol
I have to say it Mr. Kimball is presidential material.
This is such a poignant song in lieu of Melinda Wilson's recent passing. Our sympathy, Brian.
❤🎉
What episode of Green Acres is this
Season 2 Episode 2, Wings Over Hooterville
From the golden days of 60s & 70s. From the writers to actors and production staff took a liking to some of the perks belonging to that era. Smoking Marijuana and dropping acid.
Amazing
Green acres was the classic "fish out of water" tale. The sane Oliver Douglas was surrounded by absolutely insane characters.
That's 3:25 seconds I'll never get back, but I don't WANT to get it back!
😂
I'm surprised Eddie Albert who played Mr. Douglas did not have a nervous breakdown on the show. I loved it when he always says "For The Love Of -----"!😂😂😂
Another irrelevant UA-cam informercial before a video.
This sucks! Not up to Mr. Wilson's standards.
Love this Brian. This is how he looked the first time I got his autograph.
He had the glasses too? He only wore them for a very short period and then never again.
It’s a cool look for him… reminds me of the few photos of him with glasses in 65-66 making pet sounds…
Hank Kimball was the funniest character on the show, and one of the best supporting characters in TV history.
How fucking tight was this band live?!?! Woah...
たった数年でグレート義太夫からイケメンに変身。
He always made me laugh big time...will miss him
Farther mother or uncle lol
My favorite one lol
I liked mr. Kimball such quirky comedian he was when tv really was tv
This is such an awesome and overlooked track. I slip it into my radio show every now and then.
I like when Oliver goes into history lessons and farming and with a fife playing in background
Any mike doughty fans in here?
Oh course. Everyone is a Mike Doughty fan, they just don’t know it.
This is like politics today except the politicians are real.
I love this !!! LOL
I first watched this in late 1960s in ireland on our black and white TV. It was hilarious then and it still is now.
Is this still available anywhere? Amazon no longer has it.
Hilarious
Take note modern comedians, it is perfectly possible to make people laugh without innuendos.
lol
One of the best Non tracks ever!!!
I love it !!!
I've always felt that Green Acres was all about punishing Mr. Douglas for being rational. Lisa, being totally irrational, fits in perfectly. But poor Mr. Douglas stubbornly clings to rationality and "Hootersville" puts him through hell for it! :)
Exactly-the irony of the only rational person in town being made to feel like the only fool is just brilliant.
I always thought of Green Acres as a place for away in a sort of comedic Twilight Zone, where Douglas was the subject of the exercise. Masterful and hilarious and yet another example of the WWII generation (mostly in charge of things at this time) not taking themselves too seriously and enjoying the heck out of laughing at each other and everybody. They'd seen enough seriousness, screaming dictators, death, depression, etc. There were things that needed to be taken seriously but most things could get done better with humor. People actually used to laugh at one another. Hard to imagine. I still recall Don Rickles holding court at R. Reagan's inaugural (not sure which) and just pounding he and other luminaries in attendance. Never again.
How do I get it?
0:16 Math on the board pi^r^2 instead of pi*r^2 LOL. It's interesting to watch Hank in his first couple appearances how un-dumb he was. He really developed the Hank character. I never got tired of his comments and the cast's reactions.
Hank always has me rolling!
Green acres : all time great show!
