Laura Davis was Jimmy Destri's partner when Blondie were at the height of their fame and she co-wrote two songs with him, including the beautiful Angels on the Balcony from the Autoamerican album
Philip Shelley (far right) recently appeared at a the Yarmouth (Maine) Clam Festival and did this song. I felt like telling the few people under the tent who didn't know him that he wrote tho song. It wasn't a cover!
Hands down one of the best bands of that whole era. They deserve to be celebrated alongside other acts like Talking Heads, Television,The Voidoids, etc. It's criminal that novel, cookie cutter acts like Blondie made it as big as they did while these guys scurried in obscurity. Happy to see the recent Rave Up Records comp on the market. Long overdo.
I love this song. The man on right looks like my nephew, who plays the piano.
Right now I'm reading the Drummers autobiography. It's very engrossing. 👍🎸🎵🎶
Me too !!

Oh course. Everyone is a Mike Doughty fan, they just don’t know it.
Thanks for uploading this gem!
Timothy is Right Right Right. Phillip wrote the song along with many other great songs throughout his musical career.
Absolutely, I remember seeing them a lot and hanging out with them with Miki Zone of The Fast.
Sensational! Massive memories!
