Hi, thanks so much for your video - the sound coming through the steering wheel at 0:30 is exactly what I'm experiencing in my B8.5. My workshop told me that it's normal for an A4's steering to make some noise - is this true from your experience? Or when the steering rack is replaced, should it then be completely silent?

look at the ccv valve (the yellow stuff near the second spark plug). It is not clip in an oil seems to go out. So your PCV/CCV valve system is not working properly. It can be harmfull for your engine because you have a lot of pressure in your crankcase and a lot of oil vapors which are going into the manifold. I think it is a PCV/CCV valve problem. The second posibility is a harm cylinders but the engine is not so mileaged.

Probably a bad PCV or CCV valve.

What did you do to fix the problem? I have this same sound in my Audi A6 2012

It sucks. Happened to me twice, crankshaft spoon the bearings... Low oil pressure. Mechanic suspects that oil pump failed or smh.

shite these swirl flaps,and egr valves ,and dual mass flywheels think i will keep my trusty old 208d merc van.

Wow! Looks like it happened over time by the looks of the head and all the dents. What actually caused the flaps to fail? Did it fall apart or did the rod break?

check injectors first.
