@@livinginslc These houses that are being built have no yards and stacked very close together. They are built in Saratoga for people to work in Salt Lake city. They are over 500k. So with 7% rates now-if you make 80k a year you can't buy one right now. Now we have so much inventory coming on the market and longer and longer times on market-it's just starting, but it's going to get worse. Love to talk to you in person.

@@livinginslc Honestly I have been looking for about 3.5 years now and it seems like pretty much every other state in the country with the exception of California, Hawaii, New York, and Washington Seattle area....is better value than Utah. Half a million minimum for a 90s fixer upper in dangerous ugly West Valley City is beyond ridiculous. Places like Texas have so much better value for what you spend. I have loved growing up in Utah but the greed here has made the place unattainable for most.

Things that didn't happen for 100. Yes the air quality is horrible, there's not a lot of water, but burning your house down, most likely didn't happen. Here's why I'll tell you it didn't. Utah is still small enough that that would have been on every single headline and every newspaper every television show and you would have been interviewed a million times. You see people in Utah don't like hate crimes. You might have weird Mormons that don't approve of LGBTQ. But there's not that many bigots here. You just walk around with your victim mentality and think everybody's after you. But I can guarantee you your house wasn't almost burnt down. I'm in a news family and that has never been a story. Cuz it would have been if it was a man that had is house burned down or almost burnt down for being LGBTQ. Stop lying and playing a victim.

Yes and no imo... Utah has the lowest unemployment rate in the nation and is generally considered one of the best places to live depending on your priorities. There are definitely states where the real estate costs are much lower for a similar property. New homes are constantly being built in Utah all across the Wasatch Valley (which is where 85% of the population lives). Wasatch Valley is basically from Logan all the way down to the suburbs of Provo... and if you are going from Ogden down to south salt lake the whole area is just one large blanket of suburbia where you can only see where one city starts and the next begins by using a map.

Great question! Winters are cold, but a lot of people who work outside are still working outside because it is not a humid cold but a dry cold. Just curious, are you thinking about moving up this way?
