The thing with Petržalka borough (Engerau in German) is on the other side of the Danube river and the state border is literally hundreds of meters from the blocks of flats. Like there's a Slovak building, a road, a piece of a field and BAM Austria. The Danube used to be the state border, in fact it was a state border for quite some time and a strategic place during the wars. Bratislava was a part of the kIngdom of Hungary.
