The Problem With Healthy Eating And How to Fix it
No pain no gain is terrible advice. Muscle fatigue and literal pain are not the same thing and a distinction here needs to be made.
great video! ♥
thank you
10 sets per muscle group per week seems too low no??
cool little video
Loved the idea, you really are a software engineer!
very good advice, thank you very much, Mo! 😊👌
Very motivating. Start with the small steps and get moving!
Es kommt auf die Balance an. Super erklärt! 👏👏
I typically fall into this from time to time where I’m overthinking all the information I get online, carbs are bad , you need carbs, this split is best, do these many reps. It can all Be overwhelming. I try to listen to my body and feel what’s best. But with all information out there that can still be challenging
More people should watch this video! Super helpful
Great points! Being "healthy" vs. "not healthy" is rarely ever an all or nothing thing. As you mentioned, balance is key. Also, on top of all the time we dedicate to exercise and nutrition, make sure to also stay on top of your preventative health! Go get your blood pressure, blood glucose, and lipids/cholesterol checked out with the guidance of a healthcare professional!
I’m not a software engineer but I see this problem in my career, too. People don’t move 😢
Yes Mo I really dont care about my computer job but it's very easy and pays good. It is very sedentary. So I go to the gym 4x/week (upper-lower split) and do 2 weighted walks (20lb vest) for 30 minutes each daily just to keep some decent step count (>6k steps). Now recently I have begun tennis coaching at my son's highschool and that is almost 90-120 minutes about 3-4 days per week. Also I play my own tennis 2x/week. I hope in few more years when I am older and my kids go to college I can finally exit computer work (25 years now) and become a full-time tennis coach for a more healthy lifestyle.
@@K4R3N man, thats quite impressive that you can pull all of that off! I love tennis and always watch it. But I never got myself to play it I wish I could exit computer work too 🥲
There is no stress in corporate life for me, i am the one who is giving them stress :D
@@Criteria12 😂😂. You are a special case 😅
Interesting! Thanks Mo for discussing it:D
How you know your base creatine is enough by food ?
It'll be hard to know without testing it. So, take creatine for a month if you are not front loading it and see if you got stronger or not. If not or you feel the same, then you are one of the lucky ones that will save some money :D
dammnn this is something i was searching for , jeff nipard had nice series but damn too complicated for beggginers like me
On point! 👌
Bro you are my dream
not a dream bro, you can do it!
Very good one! It was rver that simple! Thx for the vid!
You’ve got some great content - hope you get pushed more my man.
Appreciate it 🙇
happy birthday 🎈🎂 ❤
thank you! 🙇♂
Nice video
Working out in the afternoon or evening is so much better anyway and carbs are life 😁💪 Fasted early morning session even increase my stress level I feel.
Thanks Mo. Definitely useful for me when I'm doing leg days
Informative 👍
Fantastic Video. Can you give a link to the chart?
what a comeback!!
Mo, for older guys 40+ the recovery takes longer. Should we adjust intensity or volume? Some videos I found say older lifters should keep intensity but drop volume (sets and reps). What do you suggest?
Depends, if you want to maintain your muscles not build more then I would suggest you decrease the volume a bit, since you can maintain your gains on low volume. Even on one day a week, according to a new study I just read last week! But if you want to build muscles then I would decrease the intensity, since volume is the main tool to build muscles And just for the health purposes I would just do 2 to 3 medium intensity , medium volume sessions. Research so far is supporting that this should be more than enough for optimal health
@@moadly got it, thank you! I am trying to build muscle right now.
Video idea: Tips on how to squeeze in a gym session in the lunch break, In a sustainable way without feeling that it is so such mental load.
That's a good idea! I will do it :)
very good topic much needed 💕
Mo, are you wearing Apple iWatch Ultra? Do you find it helpful? Maybe you can talk about it in a future video?
Yes its an Apple watch ultra. That's a topic I wanted to make a video on. But the short answer for now is, the only reason I have it for is the battery life, otherwise I would have had something else!
Great topic Mo
great video, different than all other diet videos out there, down to earth and realistic! love it!
@@pigdogcheap1773 really appreciate it 🙇♂️
What kind of gear? 😂
Legal ones 😂
Mate in the before pic you had no muscle and was fat. Uv magicaly gained a life time of cutting and bulking . 🥱🥱🥱

Very helpful advice! Im just not sure about the carrot snacking 😂🐰
😂😂
Great video again. I am sad that you are underrated, your videos deserve more views. Btw, do you drink coffee and if yes, how many times a day? Coffee is really helping me to suppress my hunger and really lifting up my mood :D
Thanks man! Appreciate it 🙇♂️ Yesss Im a coffee addict 😅 3-4 cups a day sometimes more. And yea it does help with hunger a lot, i drink more when I lose weight Last month I tried to stop coffee for a month as a test and it was fine-ish but was quite hungry 🤣
@@moadly Yeah, me too dude) I don't consume any preworkouts but only coffee and I usuallly drink around 2 cups a day. One in the morning, one before going to gym.
3:49 what game is this Mo? League of Legends? DOTA?
Dota 2 😁 do you play?
@@moadly no, but I was a producer for a computer gaming company several years ago
@@K4R3N thats pretty cool! I always wanted to develop games, but its not the best career path for devs unfortunately - money wise
@@moadly yeah 1/3 the pay of any corporate software development. I'm back to corporate work now, boring but pays much better
@@moadly I used to be dota 1 player in the past, but last week started playing dota 2 because of my friend and it got me hooked :D After a week of playing, I uninstalled it ))
lol Mo, let me know if your team needs a PM! I am ready 😉
Hahah will do!
I like your retrospective…anxiety and my reliance on sugar. If I can control it then I could lose the weight. I run, cycle and lift but overeating and sugar screws me over.
Definitely. I believe losing weight is easier if you know what triggers you. And anxiety is a killer tbh, and people just brush it off
Good video! I also started paying attention to that recently and I was doing it with leg extension for a long time ))
Hahah me too! Also biceps!
I'm having a really tough time cutting calories to lose weight while weight lifting, seems increasingly difficult. There's some days where ill go to the gym and do a workout but then i'm too tired and i cant focus on programming. The days I don't go to the gym i'm able to do a lot better and focus at the cost of working out that day. I'm wondering if you had to deal with this at some point and if you have any tips?
Thats a really good point! Worth a whole video on it! I will do it very soon. There are many tips to fix that! Thanks for asking!!
Yes but it's important to learn which pain to NOT push through. I wish i had learned that 15 years ago
Very well explained 👍 and it’s so cool that you update your training plans based on new scientific evidence.
