Good video shows the problems I had. Canik support sucks. They don’t have a phone to talk too. Disappointed in Taran butler. He claimed he wanted a gun that straight out the box would work. Evidently he didn’t quality control this product. I have 5 Caniks and fix my own because they don’t have support system. I don’t believe a gun needs a break in period but use 124 grain on Caniks the first 500 rounds. I changed the recoil spring to lighter one and polished barrel ramp and slide rails. It definitely improved. I believe you’re right about the guide rod and spring. I guess have to wait for aftermarket assembly to fix Taran’s screw up.
Yep it’s defect😅
Looks like your spring is weak and the slide isn't going all the way forward
Mine did this I ran about 250 rounds of heavy grain in it . The gun runs great now. The extractor was keeping the gun from going back into battery just needed breaking in.
For a gun that costs $1000.00, it should run flawlessly out of the box. No excuse for this bs. Glad I didn’t get one. I bought a Rival Darkside instead and it has been perfect for less money!
Mine just started doing what this one is doing after I got to about 400 rounds, just a few days ago.
32ed comment also next like is 300 (:
Shouldn’t have to trim the extractor spring on a new gun, I agree, but that is what a few people have posted getting replaced when sent to Canik ( in addition to the new recoil spring) I just trimmed it and fixed it myself 🤷
The first time it happened in the video it didn't go into battery all the way
Gun name
No issues to report here! Ran about 1,000 rounds.
Would it be the ammunition it’s self ??
1500 failure free rounds through mine. Head down reloading at belly/waist tells me all I need to know. One should Get formal training. 🤙🏽
Mini shells have less powder, but less shot. so its scaled down but same performance.
Opsol adapter or Defender Tactical adaptor is great if your shotgun doesnt cycle mini shells
I had it on pre-order and cancelled it. I'm so glad I did. The gun looks awesome, but these failures are unacceptable. I got a Tanfoglio Stock 3 Pro instead. It's a totally different gun, but I love it. For a polymer pistol I'd go with the pdp polymer match.
Needs to be filmed again on a phone or a camera instead of a potato😂
@@Mr_Texas_Fishing yea importing from videos make it look bad.

What model of PA upper ? Freedom , Premium? And yes PSA IS overgassed, but guess what DD and other more premium ARs are overgassed cause folks will run Russian steel case ammo which can be all over the place in terms of QC . Also, the IWI zion 15 runs with an H buffer compared to the PSA carbine buffer. Also, you can swap out to after market charging handles to mitogate gas to tje face. The PSA carbine you have there is about $500 vs the $1,000 Zion 15 (* you could equip yourself and your wife or son with 2!) The PSA saber is the model that matches the Zion 15
@@Michael-fh6lw we plan on getting the saber and doing another comparison to be more fair to PSA
@AlphaTactics cool, but save your $$$ ! BRD is real. The Aero Precision M4E1 and the Springfield Saint Victor are fairly equal to the Zion 15...
I had similar issues, 10 failures out of first 50 right out of box from gun shop. So went home cleaned her up then 20 failures out of 200 rounds - cleaned her again same 20 of 200 failed contacted Century send new heavy duty green spring , 350 rounds no issues !! Running standard range & target 155gr Winchester and Blazer . So far much better. I (I also noticed after cleaning first time the issues popped up after about 120 rounds once she was hot.. ) so my test run with new spring was 250 rounds continuous shooting . She was hot and running great .. the new spring seems to have worked for me..
Got the same failures today at the range, did you have to send anything back to Century or did they just send the new spring back?
@@adriancarranza6912 I called they sent green tipped “heavy duty “ spring .. came in a few days.. so far works good
@@adriancarranza6912 they will tell you to put a service request in via email, with serial number & contact info.. but I did both call and email (email was fast reply)
Just got back from the website. I don't like it. I don't trust any online store that doesn't have a price showing. Prefer palmetto.
Interesting hate to see you are having these issues brother🫡🫡
What's occurring is failure to return to battery. Sometimes so slight, that you can barely tell the slide is not in full battery. I field-stripped mine. I noticed the polymer was slightly too high at the rear of the frame, near/above the beavertail area. I used a fine nail file and lightly sanded down the polymer just a small amount. I then felt the entire frame looking for raised areas, and rough areas on the black polymer. When I found them, I very lightly sanded them as well. Cleaned, lubed and re-assembled. 1,000 rounds later, not a single failure with 18 or 21-round factory mags.
@kylefittro1994 hmmm I noticed that & I'm gonna ✔️that area out it makes sense. If no failures after 150 rounds I'll be thrilled....
I checked with a micrometer after I used whiteout & noticed a lot of drag on back pins were 14 thousands thicker then the front pins it makes a world of sense. hopefully, It works flawless so I can continue watching without any more problems. To be continued........
@@VincentWadge keep me posted. I hope it works for you.
No more issues she ate over 150 with no problems happy go lucky camper ...
@@VincentWadge Excellent!!
Not fully in battery. Cannik frames can be plastic proud on the frame. File down any proud plastic on the frame level with any flush metal and all your problems will be solved.
I don’t think we should have to file down anything on a brand new $1k firearm!
I'm glad I waited till all the paid reviews died down.I went with the 5.75 mete sfx pro. With a micr comp. Mine runs like it should.Do recommend polishing feed ramp on all caniks.

Im just here seeing im not the only one with issues with the tti combat i still feel light strikes on the bullets kinda freeks me out seeing a live round unfired Just hopefully theres a answer too this night mare ...
The answer we got along with many others is that we are all limp wristing it. That is why everyone is having an issue. which is a load of crap.
@AlphaTactics absolutely correct
See my comment above. At least for me, it fixed the problem 100%.
sold mine after 200 rounds. had issues with the slide cycling back all the way (recoil spring issue most likely) and the trigger wouldnt reset at times. cool gun but too many issues for me out the box
Tell me your a TTI fanboy without saying it
Hey man, I think it’s the mag over feeding into the chamber. I’ve seen a lot of other people talk about this with caniks. My buddy tried to use his TTI Mag in my Rival S and it did exactly the same thing. I would try multiple mags while dry firing, and press on them while dropping the slide to see if they catch. To see if the follower is getting stuck.
It's the comp. Pistols only run well comp d if you use plus p ammo
It's not the comp. It's the "gun" period. I had a completely different canik that did the same thing. Failures to return to battery. Failures to feed. Failure to reset the striker even though the gun did cycle. I sent it back to canik, they replaced the barrel and magazine springs. That did not fix the issue. Then they sent me a replacement gun. That one has 300-400 rounds ( I forget the exact amount) through it with zero problems so far. The original gun at most could make it through a magazine without a failure. Their quality control, their something or other is just off. Some guns run and work. Others are just dumpster fires. Btw. The mc9 was the gun giving me problems.
You’re limp wristing it. You can see it in the video. It happens when my kids and their mom tries to shoot it too but I’ve had zero issues.
@@wokeupfromadream stick around for the next video.
@@AlphaTactics definitely. I’m going to try to replicate it myself here in a little bit when it cools down this afternoon. If it’s a gun issue it would be nice to get it fixed. There was another comment saying to up the spring lb not go lower but I’m still running the original.
You are right. Limp wristing and poor grip causes this issue. After I fixed my grip I've never had any other issues ever
@@carcar5911 stay tuned for a vid coming soon about limp-wristing firearms!
A gun should not be that finicky just off off posture. You never know what situation u might be in when your life is in play. Unacceptable for 1000$ when my 500 canik shoots flawless
I think I'll wait for TTI gen2.
I was able to shoot a little bit over 100 rounds out of mine so far I only had 2 failures in mine, both times the slide didnt go back into battery. could have been me maybe not but for sure had that same issue. I seen the gun is supposed to have a "200 round break in period"
What if trying to change your grip? Cause your grip is prone to limp wrist
@@Jrude22 I’ve tried multiple grips. The point is the grip shouldn’t make the gun prone to failure. You will find out in a coming video that the gun should fire regardless.
@@AlphaTacticstrue. Yeah we’ll see. If you’re right then sucks for TTI
Why delete my comment ?
We didn’t delete any comments. This seems to happen a lot lately.
@AlphaTactics good Ole UA-cam nazis trolling us .
I own a TTi and have no issues so far, also what 124 are you using? I have Blazer Brass a noticed in fine print the package says do not use in firearms with ported barrels or with a compensator. I have run 115 and 124 thru mine no failure to feeds, stock installed spring.
We used browning 124 grain.
It looks awesome but I went with the PDP Pro Compact and glad I did! It works and has an EXCELLENT trigger
You really need to work on your grip because it is not the correct grip for a semi auto pistol. you are wrapping the left thumb over the right thumb, that is a revolver grip. Every time you grip the gun it's a little different, index finger on the trigger guard etc. There are a lot of vids showing the proper grip for a semi auto pistol on here. I'm not here to be to critical but your grip on that gun is not good.
The video is about the failure of a very popular firearm. To test why the firearms is failing, you may see my grip change. I also wanted to give you guys a better view of it while firing.
There is no correct grip for a semi auto firearm. Sure there are bad grips but there are plenty that work for different people and different use cases.
@@albundy06 Ok...I stand corrected.
Bro I want to buy only canik SFX rival is it best for self-defense
Just out of curiosity, have you pulled the striker and the striker block out and inspected those parts? I’ve heard that there is a problem with some chipping away and damage of where the striker engages with the striker block. It may not have anything to do with it. But if there is visual damage of those parts, it could be a possibility. I’m glad I saw this because I really wanted to purchase one of these. Now I am a little “gun shy“. Pardon the pun. I wanted one of these because I have a Canik elite combat that has about 5000 rounds through it at this point and it is a fantastic gun and I honestly can’t remember any issues at all with it. Maybe one or two stove pipes due to my wife limp wristing it.
I have not inspected it, but they did replace the striker when it was sent the first time to get fixed.
I got mine two weeks before the release date and I have the exact same issue. I just haven’t had time to contact Century arms but this is my third Canik that I own and this is the only one I have issues with I’ll try changing the recall spring I will see if that helps
Just took my TTI Combat out to the range today to break her in. Ran 250 rounds and had about 75 failure to return to battery. I reached out to Century Arms for some help. Running 115 grain Winchester. Just sucks because she was getting so much attention from everyone and I looked like a fool with the constant failures. Taran Butler should be embarrassed to have his branding on this collaboration. Never following the hype again lol. I’ll stick to my Springfield XD and Beretta PX4 Storm.
I actually had the exact same problem. I thought it was the gun. But ill be honest. I was limp wristing the gun and that was causing failure to return to battery. I worked on my grip and I have never had a problem again. I am also using new republic 115 grain. It has been running flawlessly since I've changed my grip. I also have 2 glocks which I have never ever had any failures with even with my crappy grip. But the tti requires proper techniques to fire correctly. I'm just being honest.
@@carcar5911 yea I took it out the next day and had much better results with 124 grain. I reached out to Century Arms and they are sending me a high force performance spring so when that gets in I’ll see if it helps as I still get about 1 failure per magazine. The scaphoid bone in my dominate wrist is permanently broken so I know my grip isn’t the best which could be a contributing factor. I just don’t get the same failures when running my Springfield XD or Beretta PX4 Storm, but the TTI is a competition gun so I hear they run better with specific ammunition and a more experienced shooter. Glad to hear you are happy with your TTI, it’s a great gun overall!
@rawdogdavid same here. I've never had any other failures with a y other gins. Before I fixed my grip it was failing about 2 out of every 10 shots
@@carcar5911 the TTI is going to force us to be better shooters hahaha!
I have the same issues. 9 failures in 150 shots. Not acceptable
I've had the same issue with mine. After 100 rounds i cleaned it very well including the striker assembly. Shot another 50 rounds of 124gr and only had a couple failures. It's a new gun so I don't like the idea of trimming the ejector spring. I'm going to try another 100 rounds before contacting Canik. Too many people are having this problem for it to be a limp wristing issue.
The qd sling mount is in the box
Cool video I got one and it runs like a top
