One of my all time favourite theme songs. Always get chills when I hear it and it takes me right back to the 90s. Thank you, Mike. 🙌🏼 I once heard that the idea of Quantum Leap came in part because Donald Bellisario once met Lee Harvey Oswald in 1958 when they were serving in the Marines. He actually got into a confrontation with him as Oswald was reading Pravda which Bellisario wasn’t happy about. When he saw Oswald on TV after JFK was killed in 1963, he remembered him and later thought if he’d done something to Oswald back in the day, JFK might never have been shot.

The theme is all man and testosterone. I’m re-watching Magnum as we speak. Everytime the theme starts my wife says “here we go”. Well done as usual Mike!

During the eighties I saw Mike Post popping up in the credits of many series and sort of advertised to my friends by saying “check out this guy’s theme songs, he has a huge influence on us”. Directly looked up a vinyl LP in the local record store and of course found one. Still have it in my collection. Thanks Mike!👍

Yesterday, I was going through theme songs, sharing them with my daughters and I couldn't get past the police cars in the intro without tearing up. It brought back so many good memories, that I almost lost it in front of my daughters, LOL.

Love the show and loved the music. Watching reruns on YT these days that music takes me back on a trip down memory lane to those yrs living in NYC, walking those streets, feeling in my mind those noises, sounds (not the same), the smell of the city, the people always in a rush which I learned to do too. Thank you very much Sir for your contribution in making NYC an unforgettable place full of great memories.

Blossom... yes, I remember watching snippets of this show. However, the show also reminds me of another entitled, Punky Brewster. These two shows were similar but I did not fully engage in them where I found the story lines quite pointless and altogether boring. 🤔

I love this song! I have it on your two albums: "Television Theme Songs" and Joey Scarbury's "America's Greatest Hero". Inspiring, catchy, and beautiful! I recently discovered another one of your theme songs from a very short-lived Cannell series around that same time, "The Quest": "Kings and Queens" sung by Lisa Lee. I wished the full song was on one of your albums. Equally inspiring, catchy, and beautiful. Would've been another hit.

I loved this theme as well as the second season theme: "Back to Back" sung by Joey Scarbury. I was surprised David Morgan received screen credit for singing "Drive" on the pilot, but not on the series. The full versions of both should've been put out on records.

The original theme was done by Ian-Freebairn Smith for the first couple of episodes.

I wish there was an album of the music from the show, not just the theme but the montage music when they built stuff too.
