This was great for myself to hear and listen to the information as the young lady did this interview, It guides you into seeing, feeling and the real life of how to help and support individuals in their need of support with compassion and it help me to see their are difference needs in this process
I watched a ton of theses and no one mentions that it is confidential unless they discuss self-harm, child abuse or harm to others, do you not mention that?
Really?!! I have seen quite a few social work interview role plays and in my experience you don't start off by asking, "how are you?" because nine times out of ten the client feels like shit and that's why they've come to see a social worker. What else would he/she be feeling. Come on now. Also, where the relationship building? Get to know the client or build a client profile right at the beginning and establish trust and confidence between each other.
70% of your minimum wage cheque with two kids? How about trusting the mom to manage her own finances and you both come up with a game plan for the next two months.
Amazing video, I'm graduating in the spring with my BSW and it's people like you that made me want to pursue this career in the first place. An absolutely perfect example of what a social worker should be! You are literally the embodiment of everything that I have spent all these years learning about. Thank you so much!

Go back and watch the client asks first how she is. Bet you feel sad now

Nice video but dont suggest suicidal thoughts to your service user when they have not mentioned it.
this is the worst example of how to help a domestic violence victim I have ever seen!!
