@@sammybang Thankyou so much for your lovely comment 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
I like your aproach with the leeks
@@ebenezercottagegarden it’s always been my lazy way of sowing seeds, especially the leeks. It actually relieves the pressure of sowing huge amounts of seedling. And also it will only germinate when they know the weather is ready..so effectively it stays dormant until spring
@gardeningwithkay I agree with all of that :)
Kangkongnya sangat subur
It is so weird to see my everyday food called exotic. I am relocating to the UK soon, so I am excited to grow these in my garden.
@@linhduong0809 yes, everything that is hard to grow in the UK is know as exotic 😂😂
This deserves so many more likes and your chanel is so underrated❤
@@jennybugsification13 Thankyou for the lovely comment ❤️
Love your setup. What is the fountain / filter? Is the watercress floating or how to plant them? Please share more tub videos ❤❤
@@dikeshshrestha2473 the fountain is just a solar panel fountain with no filter.. the water cress is floating. If you buy a bag of water cress from the super market just throw a few sprigs and it will just start growing away. As it’s getting colder it will slow down now..but they are pretty cold hardy. Thankyou for watching ❤️
Bamboo STEM ?? HOW to that?
@@yeshazion4098 bamboo leaves, not the stem, just boil it for 15mins and drink ❤️
Please can you do a video on growing sweet potatoes in the uk. From how to start slips to when to harvest them. I have been told by gardener's for years that its not possible to grow them in the uk so im really curious.
@@Outdoor_Girls 👌 I’m waiting to see if mine are a success, I’ve got till October to harvest, and then I will be able to do the video😅😅 Fingers crossed too
I have just found your channel, i love itttt. Well doneee.
@@Outdoor_Girls I’m glad you found me, Thankyou so much ❤️❤️❤️
just planted 2 rows👍❤
@@garyjohnson3108 are you growing in uk? If yes, it might be a bit too late😅😬
So cool! 😊
Well done ❤
Wow
Natural pest control
I wash stuff in salt water too 👍, I learned that from Steve @Greenside Up
@@myrustygarden it’s actually recommended especially when we eat it raw too
Oh cool 😎
Love it Kay, Well done 😊

Your kangkong looks very healthy, I planted mine too early and only few seeds germinates, next year I will plant later. Thanks for sharing, new friend
@@MercylifeintheUk Thankyou for watching and your lovely comment, and thank you for subscribing..❤️
This video has done really well :)
@@ebenezercottagegarden how’s your water spinach coming along? Did you manage to grow any from the seeds I gave you?
@@gardeningwithkay It's going to have to be next year, I've gotten so swamped under with the new greenhouse that I haven't had a chance to fully sort out my growing area this year BUT I still have the seeds!
@@ebenezercottagegarden oh! That’s ok, the seeds are still good for next year
@@gardeningwithkay I ended up getting quite behind with seed sowing
hello can you give us a link to the bulk seeds please.
@@jensissons5709 hi..I don’t have a link for the bulk seeds I’m afraid ☹️☹️ sorry 😔
@@gardeningwithkay OK thanks for replying.
This is one of my favorite vegetables to eat however quality is hit or miss a the grocery store. Thanks for sharing...I'm excited to try and grow my own!
@@easygrowinggarden I know right, it’s either wilting in the grocery store.. I’m really excited for you too to start growing your own. You will love it❤️
Love your vidéo,growing and cooking❤
@@Happy-tc2jt thank you for watching ❤️
I love this! Thank you for sharing your method
Thank you for the ideas. Now I know why some of my kangkong didn't survive I plant it too early.
@@mardyshelton4770 they are so fussy when it’s cold 😆😆 I’m glad my video helped ❤️
@@gardeningwithkay do you fertilizer them too or just compost?
@@mardyshelton4770 I fertilizer once a week, what I use is a handful of chicken manure pellets in a watering can full of water soaked overnight, if I run out of chicken manure pellets, I use my homemade comfrey/nettle liquid fertilizer I made. Both works just as well 👍🏻
Indian Style: till harvesting was right but when cooking or serving, we prefer it NOT raw, but cooked; so, we must prepare a vegetable dish with this beautiful and beneficial plant by chopping into smaller pieces, and then typical saute it in oil with garlic, (may add few shrimps, and few masala, if you like) and salt to taste, till all are cooked well. Delicious & simple food that goes well with rice !
@@skbiswas yes it’s the best! Love this veg so much ❤️
Love it! If you don’t want it to wilt so quickly pick in the morning, before it warms and gets humid under the plastic. The sudden temperature/humidity difference is what is causing it to wilt.
@@hongsu2000 yes haha, I picked it 10am, but I was just faffing around videoing myself so it took a bit longer😆
Nice!
Fab root system on your seedlings Kay. I have heard of Kang Kong but didn’t realize it was spinach. Does it taste like spinach too? Thank you for sharing the recipe it’s nice to see how people use the things they grow. Have a fab week Kay, happy growing, Ali 🌞🇨🇦
@@myrustygarden yes it actually does taste like spinach but milder.. it almost has a glutinous taste to it.. (I’m not sure there’s a taste called glutinous 😂😂😂) if your climate is hot you don’t need a polythene sheet. You must try it Ali!
@@gardeningwithkay I will absolutely try it Kay as our spinach bolts in the heat 👍👍
Will it be to late to grow now
@@yuksanng8864 if you are in the southern part of uk then you might still get 2 flushes as we might have a late summer, but northern part of uk it’s a bit too late
@@gardeningwithkay thank Kay your veg s are so lovely, who do you get your seeds from? I grow similar like you,but snails and slugs are nightmare this year.

@@teammeteamus.8315 I hope so too! Thankyou for watching ❤️ I still got a few areas to clean up but I’m almost there.. I must be mad to say it but I really enjoyed doing the weeding and digging🤣🤣🤣
Excellent job Kay and a perfect spot for the pumpkins 🎃 to grow and sprawl. It’s wonderful when you plant out and Mother Nature waters for you as long as she doesn’t get carried away 😂. I bet the coriander smells amazing as your move your hand across it. Bindweed 😢😢😢. Getting lots done Kay and should be awesome harvests. Have a wonderful week, hope it’s warm, Ali 🌞🥵36c 🇨🇦
@@myrustygarden yes I’m very looking forward to seeing all the vegetables grow. And thankfully the rain of day and night for a week has given my sweetcorn a good drink..you must be crazy watering everyday with that heat in your country Ali 😲😲😲
Awww poor sluggies 😢
Sprinkling used coffee grounds around your plants works really well too. You can do the same with diatomaceous earth. (Just use a mask so you don’t breathe it in)
@@elizabethbritton2143 I also use diatomaceous earth, especially in the greenhouse when the rain can’t wash it away 👍🏻
You made good progress! Physalis are great!
Thankyou! Yes physalis is a must have in your garden
@@gardeningwithkay Will have to get myself some more seeds for next year!
@@PlasBachGarden I just bought the fruits from the shops and germinated them..😬
@@gardeningwithkay Good thinking! 👍👍👍
Umm. have you never heard the term "Salting the earth"? ... The levels of stupidity on youtube these days is just perplexing
I think you have misunderstood.. I don’t put salt on the soil. The salt is on the plastic😬😬😬
