You did a great job narrating! Nice old local commercial and great shots.

I got to see that same Acela after being repainted, given car number signs, pantograph modifications, and a full interior refurbishment on January 5,2021 so you can still see this one racing up and down the Northeast Corridor. I loved watching this video and seeing how the Acela looked before.

The 611 has been restored and makes excursions. Search J 611 and you can get a schedule- and perhaps take a ride.

And now in 2021, we tolerate dangerous criminals to be set free on our streets so they can run us down at our Christmas parades.

That last whistle at the end brought a tear to my eye. Like the Goliaths last breath...

I'm pretty sure I met the woman playing in the background. I'm from Marion (great grandfather had a big part in the Lindsey Funeral Home in Rural Retreat) and grew up Lutheran, but my confirmation was held at Grace.

Wow! That DC-8 brings back some really great memories. My very first flight was aboard a United Airlines 60 series DC-8 in the old "Friend Ship" livery from Friendship Airport (now BWI) in 1972. Thanks for the video!

The show went down hill when they brought that Nadine in as she was trying to act one way or another way. Always trying to be a character. It sunk even lower when they brought pop music into it and had much music vjs hosting it. I used to call in and give my complaints and was told "nothing we can do as we totally agree with you as EC turned into crap" I would talk to other people on the phone as they would tell me the same thing. They said it went from being about the music to being about what the sponsors and executives wanted.

Did 611 spend the night at Rural Retreat? Based on the video it looks like she arrived late in the evening and the later footage appears to be early morning before transitioning back to a night shot.

That little park off of Dorsey Road is a great place to planespot BWI airport. Unfortunately these days there's precious little variety. Mostly SouthWest 737's twins on the wing......YAAWWwwwwnnnn!
