      Try it in the “N” panel of the viewport under the Octane tab. Check the “Octane Camera Imager” and “override” boxes at the top. Then scroll down to “Octane Postprosses” and tick it and “override” again. The same settings are then underneath. Hope this helps.

    hi thanks for this wonderful tutorial.. but i have a question.. i have a fluid simulation and i want to gradient the honey. when it flows, there is no problem. but when it splashes, the gradient is as if it is using global coordinates instead of oject coordinates.. because when it splashes it using many repititions.. btw im a newbie with octane

    • @timvias
      @timvias 2 місяці тому

      Have you connected a projection node to the projection conector of the gradient generator? If not, try the box projection node and so on. Also try changing the tab with "object space" to "world space" for the projection node. Hope that helps. I'll build a similar scene when I get the chance and do a little testing myself.

    this can be done without octane. would be helpful for those not using octane to see how this is done in vanilla blender. Layered material is not an option and will confuse people following along as you don't say this is only an option if using octane

    • @timvias
      @timvias 3 місяці тому

      That's true, of course. But since there are already a lot of tutorials for the standard Blender version, I would like to concentrate on Octane first. But I will try to make it clearer in the viedeos that it is not plain Blender. In any case, thanks for the feedback!

    I have the lastest version of Blender and Octane, but when loading a RGB image for texture environment all I get is black. Seems a bug with the rgb image node but Im not sure. Do you have the same problem?

    • @timvias
      @timvias 3 місяці тому

      Sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately, small things keep changing in the different octane versions. I'll take a look at it. Otherwise it could of course be a bug. In any case, thanks for the info.

      I will see if I can make an extra video about the compositor. Since the functions are quite close to those of the default Blender in my eyes, I never really thought it was necessary. But something like this is an important feedback for me. Thank you!
