Who (or What) is Paimon?
Переглядів 2812 роки тому
Genshin's Paimon has eluded any real backstory or lore for far too long. It's time to label this creature as something once and for all (probably).
They're All War Criminals

Fire Emblem Three Houses is filled with war criminals. It is truly a disgusting den of creatures and my goal is to expose all of them for their misdeeds and help you understand who is the worst offender. It's definitely not who you think it is.......

Pokemon Legends: Arceus, The Shallow Savior

A Pokemon Legends: Arceus review of sorts. Since the trailer for Scarlet/Violet dropped a few days ago I knew I had to include that too. It was sad knowing I paid full price for this game, but at least I'm milking content from it. Hope you enjoy or enjoyed the video!
Why to Play Divinity 2 (but make it fast)

A review/recommendation, but I talk as quickly as I can. First video so the quality can only go up from here(it definitely needs to lol). If you enjoyed do the things that help me in the UA-cam algorithm(or don't, I won't know).
Dedue and Hubert are my favourites. There is no middle ground for me, apparently.
I also think we should count Byleth recruiting students to their house as a crime under the jurisdiction of coercing soldiers to fight against their home country. You could also count that for the times you recruit Ashe, Lysithea, etc in war phase if you want.
Here’s an idea: a video ranking the war crimes of the various factions in Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Which warlords were the greatest villains?
This vid would be great for a drinking game. Take a shot everytime the phrase “war crime” is used
CF!Felix committed much for crimes than Dimitri. That irony really was something 😂 I kinda regretted to recruit him. I felt so bad for Dimitri and Felix so depressed.
wait, doesn't in chapter 17:blood of the eagle and lion dimitri say "kill every last one of them" at the starting cutscene? being that declaring no quarter will be given?
What did Ferdie do?
dimitri also declares that no quarter will be given, due to his most famous line, kill every last one of them. also edelgard literally fire a bunch of fireballs in that same cutscene
Murder? Don't Dedue.
Damn, seems like even breathing in close proximity to your enemy is considered a war crime. No wonder nations don't give a shit about them.
I can help with Dedue. If we count transformation via crest stone, he does that to several people in the army at least in CF (during Tailtean Plains). That is at least 1
If we were going by all forms of international law (not just the Geneva Convention), then even if Dedue committed a war crime, it wouldn't count. As a refugee from Duscur living in the country that invaded his, he'd be protected under the Refugee Act. So any war crimes he committed, as long as they were done in the service of Faerghus, would be considered self-preservation.
Wait, Dedu is innocent? Hooray!
How is Dimitri not higher on this list? Man goes into a bloody rampage and commits less war crimes than the cold calculating clerk of the empire?!
War criminals?!? In my -war crimes simulator- fire emblem game? IMPOSSIBLE!
Okay, but have you considered that Hilda is too pretty to be responsible for any crimes?
Almost none of your "unecessary damage" examples were warcrimes because none of them were unecessary or excessive. At least according to the definition you read out.
Claude casually commits war crimes every tuesday. There’s this in Three Houses and then in Three Hopes Golden Wildfire he casually commits another war crime in a false surrender. So Claude and War Crimes just kinda go together. The complete package one might say. XD
I hate how every fan is complaining that Edelgard is never called out for her actions and yet most of the fans turn a blind eye to all of horrible things Rhea did, even before the war began. Rhea is like, “Obey me blindly and never question our stupid practices or else I’ll have you executed without a fair trial and be branded as a heathen for the rest of your life.” How much blood was on Rhea and the Church’s hands and how people has the Church of Serios pissed off with their questionable decisions? Even without Edelgard starting the five year war, people are going to say enough is enough and start to revolt against the church anyway. And maybe Edelgard is right about the crest system, so many people like Sylvain, Dorothea, Lysithea, Ingrid and Mercedes have been screwed over by the crest system as some of them are meant to be breeding cattle to birth children with crests for their families while being trapped in a loveless marriage for the rest of their lives, probably with some creep way older than them. So tell me, whose in the right here, Rhea or Edelgard?
So basically all my favorite characters get the death penalty. the Creator, yep. Me PANIK: no not Bernie,Ferdinand,Ashe,Claude, Ignatz, Shamir, Lindhart, Caspar, Marianne, Flayn, Mercedes, Hilda, Yuri, Catherine, Dimitri,Dedue,Raphael,Cyril, Ingrid, Byleth, and Seteth. TTWTT. Yes those are my favorites fire emblem three houses characters :p Hubert what about me and Lady Edelgard Me uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh can't save you byeeeeeee. Great half of my favorites get I'm going to go cry in a corner while most of my favorites get executed because they have at least one or more war crimes against them don't mind me while I go cry in the corner.
Dimitri could also be given the no quarter rule as his line, you know THE Dimitri line, basically implies that no quarter will be given to his enemy.
Generally, a lot of theories on Paimon reference how all the Gods in Genshin have an alternate name based on the Ars Goetia demons (including the Unknown God, people datamined the game). Though the idea of this Paimon having similar powers and camel ride as the original is really funny
Uh… the people of Duscur were blamed for the murder of almost all of the KINGDOM’s Royal family. The Alliance doesn’t have a royal family.
Does setting fire to the monastery really count, though? It’s not setting fire to an enemy location, since Alois, Gilbert, and Shamir all work at the monastery and Byleth, who takes over the Church forces due to Rhea being indisposed, clearly gives consent. They’re setting to their own property, is what I’m saying.
Shouldn't Edelgard explicitly aiming to kill Rhea, Seteth, and Flayn count as genocide due to her knowing they're the last ones of their race? Similarly I suppose everyone in Silver Snow and Verdant Winds should get smacked with genocide of the Agarthans.
There are also Indech and Macuil, both of whom survive CF. Though that is only due to Edelgard not knowing about them, she would 100% hunt them down otherwise. Linhardt even says specifically not to mention Indech to Edelgard due to fear of what she would do with that information. On a completely unrelated note, I vote to absolve the Blue Lions of the crime of flying enemy colours, since they aren't normally part of the offending armies.
Edelgard is actually trying to get Rhea to step down through diplomacy, She even asks you what terms she should impose if Rhea actually accepts the surrender that has been demanded of her. The option that gets you support points with her is one that says to strip her of her titles and position of office, not anything like killing her, because Edelgard doesn't actually desire their deaths.
18:50 I'd say it's more of a mercy killing. As in giving the general the mercy of not being tortured by the "not mentally unstable" "Boar" King Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd.
Who's the biggest war criminal, and why does Edelgard deserve multiple death penalties?
Seteth was merely trying to escape the mcdonalds play area with flayn... any and all actions completely justified
If those that slither in the dark are the last of the Agarthans, than is wiping them out at the end of the war genocide?
What a mix between way too much work and way too little comprehension
Three Houses is actually a shockingly accurate portrayal of a medieval Italian education.
This is what I miss about three houses because fire emblem engage is a regression in terms of writing. Basically, the story of fire emblem engage is just another Armored Core verdict Day is about a save the world scenario
Three House’s story is honestly a fucking joke that falls flat on basically all of its narrative devices and its only accolade, the heaps of worldbuilding, barely goes anywhere in the actual plot, it’s all just meaningless background fluff.
@@emblemblade9245 yeah but at least it’s better than a Warriors Three hoping and engage because I’m hoping the next fire emblem game would be a Dune style story
Edelgard did nothing wrong.
I suppose being a game made in japan, they weren't the most well read on the Geneva Convention.
Dedue organizes the use of crest stones to turn his men into demonic beasts in Crimson Flower. That's biological warfare and torture. Of his own troops. Also, a argument can be made that, since the Geneva conventions and Hague convention don't exist in Foldlan, unless they have a similar agreement, then they can't be war crimes. We can still consider them such, but in a legal sense, they aren't.
to be fair, Edelgard didn't order either Remire Village invasion nor Flayn's or Monica's kidnapping. She wasn't aware Kronya was replacing Monica (which was probably done to keep Edelgard in check, since Kronya could spy on the Emperor to see if she was still on their side) and it is said that the Death Knight was working directly under Thales when Flayn got kidnapped.
8:12 "Edelgard obviously ordered" Yeah lets just forget that Jeritza was working Directly for Thales and Solon here and Edelga4d basically had no imput in the matter that seems to happen a lot
I personally wouldn’t classify the Fire Spells as Fire Based weapons; and there’s a good reason for that. I think they’re more like explosives rather than solely incendiary, as they each explode upon impact with the target and do the bulk of the damage, rather than inflicting a Burn condition. You wouldn’t classify a grenade causing something to catch fire after the explosion to be a fire based weapon in warfare.
is there any war crime on dedue for that time with the getting crest stones from the vault, and turning himself and other soldiers (with their consent) into giant monsters
7:28 But that isnt a secret, the entire monstery knows what is happening in Remire. She only knows because of that, she makes it clear that she wasnt informed by the slithers about that
Yes, I knew my dedue is my dude. Best boi
personally my favoritew war crimes always include needless suffering as well as experimentation. there's just something about it that makes me feel excited when I think about them.
19:29 Shamir never does it if recruited in Crimson Flower, if not, yes, she does in Chapter 15.
Didnt Dedue have the Kingdom Soldiers turn into monsters? I guess since theyre neither enemy soldiers nor civillians it might not count? Also how connected was Dimitri to Rhea in CF? Like, I think if Edelgard is responsible for everything those who slither in the dark did it feels kinda inconsistent to let Dimitri off scot free for The Church/Rhea.
Common Dedue W
Pls don't call my bbs or wives war criminals.>:(
I mean, don't the characters *technically* commit genocide against the Agarthans in every route except Azure Moon? Edelgard is planning to wipe them out post-CF (Jeritza/Byleth S-support confirms this as it's them killing Agarthans in Shambhala), and in both SS and VW we basically slaughter everyone in Shambhala under the order of Rhea and Claude/Seteth, with Hubert being an accomplice since he provided the location of Shambhala. The only reason we don't genocide them in AM is because in Azure Moon we accidentally kill all the main members: Thales in his Lord Arundel disguise, Cleobulus as Cornelia, Solon in Part 1, and Kronya also in Part 1. We can therefore probably add genocide to everyone except Dimitri and Dedue (unless you want to argue all Blue Lions are exempt due to recruiting not being necessarily canonical).
The funny part is that they are actually dealt with in Azure Moon a few years after the game ends, but it is in retalitation to them attacking first.
Haha silly, but just like in real life, you only get to be labeled as a war criminal if you lose the war, well not unless people start to know about it and your C.O wants to save their hide, they'll definitely throw you under the bus if it means to save their reputation like Patton when some Yankee troops started going buck wild on surrendering Italian soldiers, he encouraged them to fight as mercilessly as possible and then gets shocked when they did, whoops.
Man you need to read Sabres of infinity. It is War Crime manual. Every damn soldier commits some kind of war crime there.
I don't think that anything that went down in remire could be considered a warcrime... isn't remire empire territory?
