I was extremely happy with the blade sharpener that I've been using since 2016. The only complaint is the blades got warm a little hard to handle, but this new system is amazing.!

How to check for Armyworms and control them
Переглядів 3,4 тис.Місяць тому
One thing to know about army worms they are fast so you have to react quickly!! It is best to do a preventative application of Acelepryn each year for grubs and armyworms. Now I will start applying this mid May instead of April. NOW I always keep Bifen 7.9% on hand for ants and mosquitoes and you should too and in case of an emergency like this armyworm outbreak! chemicalwarehouse.com/products/...

I need one of these right now
You keep talking about the clutches as if they are the cause of no reverse. Yet all forward gears work...
What if you have to back up a lot?? Will it affect it and get sucked under?
I haven’t had any issues.. it’s not so long that it’s dragging on the ground. It stays about an inch off of the surface and just combs the grass over.
Too darn expensive. I would never buy it
How much did you pay for this? Or is this a paid promotion?
You watch the video? The show price was shown!
Yes
Me tooo!
🔥 🔥 🔥
Olee - I was really looking forward to you and Bruce doing this, but then he had the wifi issue. Are you guys going to resume this later?
Yes!
Cool. I thought I knew a little something about reviewing the NTEP results until Bruce started diving in. I’m going with Daybreak TTTF this year.
Morning Olee, I renovated 5k with Artimus 2 weeks ago, I guess with all the moisture it looks like a I have an out break of Nutsedge in my new grass... Do I wait till next year or can I apply Sedgehammer anytime soon?? Thanks for all the Knowledge..
@@conectiv03 I would just wait as soon as the temperatures drop the nuts edge will be gone.. worry about it next year after the Artimuss has some age on it!
I am using Etho 4 SC and meso at overseed with my TTTF.
how many inches is that mat sticking out below the deck? Also whats the width that you cut your mat in comparison to your deck?
At your desired mowing height.. place the mat 1 inch out of the ground..
Got 80,000 to overseed with Artimus I got from you earlier this year and tons of crabgrass I couldn’t control to contend with to boot. When we get some rain here in central Indiana and my grass comes back to life I’m gonna do a full kill off of my two acre meadow,as well, Harley rake it so I don’t feel like I’m on an eight second bull all the time while mowing. Got Barenbrug RTF for that. I like all the info to use as preemergents and have most of them already. However I don’t think I’ll be able to get anything into germination this fall. I know the food plot guys do a lot of frost seeding. Could this work for fescue if I drop it down in January or February? I really need a consultation call with you. 😏

Peer-reviewed scientific literature has debunked the whole base cation saturation method, up to and including Dr. Firman E. Bear, who originally founded the method in 1945. Joel Simmons is in the business of selling products, not science. ua-cam.com/video/kyfrD9uJAoQ/v-deo.html

I wouldn’t put any stock in what this guy is saying. They don’t include critical limits in their test. Their recommendations are absurd. Selling a bunch of stuff you don’t need and recommending products that won’t make a noticeable difference in increasing the appearance or quality of the turf.
@@Mason-RRC I’ve been extremely happy with this company and everything that he has told me has come true along the way! This past year, I’ve hardly used any nitrogen at all and what I have been has been in a liquid form..
@@FescueFreak the real question is could you have achieved the same result without using all of that stuff? Fescue is a low nitrogen input grass anyway.
@@Mason-RRC explain all the stuff I’m using two different granular NPK’s 333 and 822 at low rates.. zero granular for 2024 Only two liquids Sea3 and protein plus at 5 ounces per thousand.. low inputs if you ask me. If you’re only here to hate troll on.
@@FescueFreak Seriously not trolling. You may have low inputs, but it seems you're dumping a lot of OM on the lawn, no? I assume Sea3 is a kelp or humic product. What does all that OM end up as? And wouldn't you assume that if you continued to dump OM on your lawn you saw a good result? I would conclude almost always, yes..... Moreso, what control have you used to prove your inputs against. If you're happy with the results and money spent then it doesn't really matter but what is stated is anecdotal. Without a control you really do not know. A non treated area could have had the exact same effect as what you are seeing with your inputs, low or not. Of course I wouldn't expect a homeowner to have a non treated check, but the point is we don't know. Maybe next year try urea only to compare your results. Maybe it saves you some money. Also, directly from Pen State, Joel's alma mater on gypsum: "In the rare event that calcium is recommended for turfgrass growing in soil with an adequate pH, gypsum can be used as a source of calcium. Keep in mind that gypsum is not a liming source. Also, despite claims on some gypsum labels, it will not relieve soil compaction or break up clay soils in the northeastern United States. Gypsum improves soil structure in soils with high sodium concentration found in some areas of the western United States or soils that have been contaminated with irrigation water containing excessive sodium"
@@Not_ChuckinaTruck ok thanks for watching..
Lime when pH is high would make me nervous
This guy would give Dr. Shaddox and the Grass Factor guys a heart attack!
You might want to ask this gentleman what pear reviewed paper that shows calcium to magnesium ratios makes any difference in the turf.
*peer reviewed? What’s a *pear reviewed? Lol you even edited your comment and left this.
I can only dream to have an understanding of this like he does. 👍

Crazy question but to get that light and dark effect, as an example are you cutting the light stripes at a deck height of 3.0” and dark stripes at a deck height of 3.5”?? Or do you keep it all at one height? Btw awesome videos!
It is all cut at the same height! What you are seeing is a reflection from the sun because the grass blades are bent in two different directions a lot like a vacuum cleaner does carpet!
@@FescueFreak thank you for sharing that is something new I’m learning as a first time owner using a Zero Turn.

So what months did they say to apply acelyprn in NC?

The Acelepryn rates for armyworms is 2-4 oz per acre and for grubs its 8-16 oz per acre. Are you using the low rate for grubs of 8 oz? Will this get you 4 months of coverage for both grubs and armyworms? Would it need to be watered in to work for both grubs and armyworms? Thanks for the info! I lost about 2k sq ft and am trying to prepare for next year.
Do you water in Protein plus after spray in it? or how long do wait to water your lawn after staying protein plus?
