maybe the finger weeders should actually turn correctly
They might be syncing with camera shutter speed, it does look like it though
Wish I had something like that when I was cultivating. Would have been in hog heaven...
hi, please let me know row width.
30" rows
❤❤❤
As a non organic farmer I've seen plenty of organic fields and combined plenty and organic is not the way to go
Guess you're not up for the challenge.
Its mandatory to have high precision gps autosteer for this ?
No it is not manditory. In fact, some folks will get a camera guidance hitch and go without Autosteer
How many passes thru field from start to harvest?
Gonna depend heavily on the year. But probably 5-8 or even more on dry years where the beans don't canopy.
It looks like you have Canadian thistle. What other ways than cultivating are you using to combat it being organic? I have it terrible in my mixed vegetables.
Besides cultivation? you could burn it. or Rogue it.
would like literature on the cultivator.
Jay, can you send over an email to ron@cropfertilityservices.com with that request? The spec sheet is here: www.cropfertilityservices.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/RC1230P-PMB-ROW-CROP-CULTIVATOR-Final-July-2023.pdf
Good thing that tractor isn't releasing any emissions, and no carbon previously sequestered in the soil could escape! I'm almost certain that this was the first pass of a high horsepower tractor on the "organic" cropland. Saving the planet 30 gallons of diesel per acre! As opposed to 15....😮
We will use a lower horsepower tractor for the next video. Thank you for the comment!
Fun fact. The average tier 2 engine, which is in this tractor. For the whole yearly operation of it, produces around 60-70k lbs of carbon. 3 acres of corn would complete absorb and convert it to o2. (At 18tons per acre. 1 ton=2000lbs)A soybean is a more minimal till crop which produces less carbon output. But a soybean cleans absorbs and converts about 6-8k of carbon per acre as well. So roughly 10-12 acres will clean that up as well this tractor is probably not throttled very high because it’s doing light duty work. So, our crops clean what our tractors put out. Happy to educate.
I don't have a problem with tillage, I just don't believe that "conventional" No Til farming using GMO's/etc is any worse than the "organic" operations using multiple tillage passes. If a consumer wants to buy "organic", fine. Good for them and the seller. But to feed 135% of the people in this country we need all the technology we have available.
@@MorganOtt-ne1qjyou ain’t feeding the people with your gmos!. You feeding the livestock.. And what gmos you do Feed the people is man made and killing them slowly! Elohim didn’t make you gmo products so don’t come harassing the ones trying to do it more His way!!
19mm aka 3/4in. But if I put a 19mm wrench in the cab it is less likely to walk away compared to a 3/4... I'm curious how well the s-tine design works. I've heard that is a weak point on the Einbock cultivators. In general I like the looks of it. I'll have to bug my Salford dealer to get one to try in another year or 2 after they're done doing prototype tweaks. I would also like to see some more information on the camera system that comes with it. Also does the auto-swath work with Ag Leader/general isobus or does it have it's own monitor and globe? Thanks for taking the time to share some videos!
If you watch our video on soybeans: ua-cam.com/video/TxrArHTlWq8/v-deo.htmlsi=JWnTaQ1dE90jv17A at 1:41 There isn't much side to side action on the S tine. It works very well with the shovel design. There's no crop in the ground so it's not easy to make a video showing how the cam/wands work. We will film one next spring. It's Salford's unique camera technology. It's pretty straightforward and easy to use. The section control plugs into your ISOBUS port and works with Ag Leader/Trimble/John Deere.
Maybe with robot tractor we can do without herbicides??
There is no pesticide/herbicide used on any of the acres in this video, it's all certified as Organic. Robot weeding machines would be a game changer, it will be interesting to see how they improve over the next number of years! Thank you for the comment!
My family and I own over 400 acres of land and I would love to come visit y'all and learn. Let me know. Thanks
Come out to our Organic Farm Innovation Expo. We host it at our own farm. Exact date hasn't been decided but it will be August 2024.
I want learn organic farming help plz
Why is it cut when it's still green??
We just cut a portion of this field for the Equipment Demonstration Day we hold in August. So it'll be planted with corn / soybeans this week to simulate early growing season and cultivation / tine weeding - but later in the year.

How many quintals yield soyabean per acar
We actively use both the standard Hatzenbichler Tine Weeder, as well as the Air Flow Tine Weeder demonstrated here.
This tine weeding video was shot while tine weeding a field of organic soybeans. At a later point, Mike (farmer) noted that if he were going to invest in one piece of mechanical weed control equipment - it would be a tine weeder.
Beautiful

Some Guys would say to Flame those Rows where you can’t get those Grass’s even after Cultivating, especially with How Tall that Corn was there at those Video Clips at The End. Many Different Options out there for Weed Control.
We do use flame weeders when needed as well! Not sure if we ended up doing that on this field that year - typically try not to rely on flame weeding if we can as of course any time you do that it's costing yield.
I have an einbock with rowguard. The 5 shanks doesn't work well here because of bindweed. I also never got the rowguard to track perfectly all the time so I usually just shut it off and let autosteer do its thing. Is the Hatzenbichler guidance trustworthy? I'd want to hook it up to a new buffalo cultivator I'm getting since I need a single sweep.
The Hatzenbichler uses the Tillet and Hague camera system. We haven't had a problem in terms of guidance with either the Einbock or the Hatzenbichler. I'm surprised you had problems. Please reach out if you'd like to discuss. 612-309-7522

It really does the job of weeding between the plants or not?
When used correctly and under the right conditions it dramatically reduces weeds in the row.
👍

Nice
How effective is it on perennial weeds?
Weed zapping is not something you want to use as a dedicated method of weed control, it's only for out of control situations and anything above the crop line of course. With that being said, it's highly effective if the weeds are taller than the crop. Will kill them all - but many times the damage has already been done.
Bon travail 👍
could a person make a hand held zapper using a car batterie?
Not sure on that haven't saw it done. Not going to cover any sort of acres with something like that and for the time involved you'd be better off simply using a hoe or pulling weeds by hand! Thank you for the comment
Organic corn? Does that mean no commercial fertilizer of any kind?
Yes. Only Chicken Manure
We're excited to see you all this Thursday! The event will kick off at 9:30AM. If you're not pre registered, you can do so here: www.cropfertilityservices.com/rsvp/

Very cool
Thank God there's some real farmers left not growing that GMO poison.
Plenty of us out here! We service hundreds of organic farmers in the Upper Midwest.
Looks slow as hell
Faster than removing ragweed by hand haha
3mph
My left ear loved this
How is it grounded to the ground to complete the circuit has to have a metal wheel touching the ground
Im no electrical engineer but I'm pretty sure the grounding happens through the weeds you want to kill
It has to coulters that run through the soil.
This is how REAL farmers grow crops ,not just spraying a chemical cocktail courtesy of Monsanto, Bayer ,dupont and co .
Thank you! Farming organic doesn't come without it's own unique set of challenges, it's a lot of work and controlling weeds is always the top challenge, but we fully believe in it and love what we do.
Hi, I am very interested in what happens to the microflora and fauna when you use the weed zapper. Mhycorizza, bacteria, small creatures... do they survive? Are there scientific studies or do you do spade samples yourself and look at it under a microscope? Do you check the fertilizer condition with Kinsey lab for example? Questions about questions ... ☺
