My dear motherhood is not a joke. Everything you are feeling is normal and you are not alone. Always take a deep breath and reassure yourself. Anytime you are tired and don't feel like doing anything just let yourself be. Even if the whole house is a mess, leave it like that, it's your house and no one else. Just make sure your baby is okay. Introduce him to cartoons it will help you too. Also practice planning. You plan your day, week and even month. It will help you remain focused. You are a great mum and you are doing a great job.

My dear, you are doing great . It’s never easy taking care of a kid in the abroad. You have to cope with depression, it’s very easy to lose yourself and not having help is the hardest thing. Just imagine how single moms are coping , it’s never easy but it will get easier when he gets older and more independent. Just encourage yourself , use a child minder if you can afford it even if it’s just for you to sleep the whole day , it will help your sanity , I am speaking from experience. I am not from Nigeria but I am African. I guess everyone's experience moving back to Africa from the West is different. Making direct comparisons is not fair though. I understand exactly where you are coming from but as with everything you win some, lose some. In your case I guess you lost more than you gained. I hope things got better.

I'm moving back to Nigeria from California. But it has to be one year at a time to ensure soft landing. Boko Haram and Shettima's Fulani headsmen are a serious threat to all Nigerians. The reason why most Nigerians move back home in their late sixties is because they are retired from work hence are receiving pension monthly.

Just keep trying. He will get used to it with time. Mine hasn't warmed up yet to solids and it's really frustrating because I have to make pap for him regularly. Kids warm up differently but I would advise you keep trying. Well done.❤
