Also make sure u are covered by yr insurance and waste liesance and scrap insurance it's not case of jumping in a van and a skip there is more to it then meets the eye .u are still carrying waste and scrap no matter what u carry make sure yr insurance covers u .💯💥

Hej I have been skip diving for about 50 yrs so i have seen everything there is to see hehehe. I have found so many items over the years. It is good to see the younger ppl doing what i love to do still. So i have subscribed to you. So do you sell on ebay and marketplace only ? Do you keep any items for yourself or just to sell and donate ? What about food items ? We live in a throw away world and we all now about use by and sell by dates are just there for insurance purposes. So i have taken tons of food from the skips over many years and never became ill , never.

i tried to go dumpster diving once but i just couldnt handle the smell, there was one bin with spoilt milk i was going through and it got all over me and i threw up from the smell and that was my first and last time dumpster diving lol but i would like to save some stuff from being wasted

Took a van load of stuff to a recycle plant with a buddy (he was helping someone move house and had a lot of crap to throw). All the different skips, for all the different materials. I'd just dumped a microwave in the 'small electricals' skip and another guy was dumpinf some stuff. He remarked, as he kinda carefully placed a very posh looking mirror, about 4' by 3' in the skip, that he didn't want to lob and break it as it still worked fine. The white painted bands around the perimeter illuminate, it's functional and undamaged. I went over and told my mate, we should get that, it's as good piece. He told me, you can't. Once it's in the skip, if you get caught taking anything out, you're barred from the recycle site and you might get nicked. That seemed a bit mad to me. As odds on, before the day was done, someone dumping into that skip was going to break that mirror. And the guys working at the recycle site, can be pretty petty and bureaucratic about things. All the paperwork and permits have to be in proper order, or they won't let you dump. So much good stuff gets ditched that could be reused rather than broken up for their materials. A lot of that stuff should be donated and used somewhere, rather than recycled.

I worked in a charity shop and couldn't stand the waste. I love how you clean up things and give them a new life.

Football tickets are more collectable these days than programmes from the 1970s onwards as most of the programmes are worth next to nothing, as 99 per cent are so common. Tickets also take up less space for collectors than programmes !

(Back to somewhere in 2023) 🙂 A friend of mine has told me that he saw a sega mega drive console (model 1) and a few of its games in side a council rubbish bin in my local home town. 😈 Later, I came back and I have managed to take one of the mega drive games called Greendog: The Beached Surfer Dude.
