@@alek8881 if you took off the actuator or put another actuator on another turbo you will have to recalibrate it

How the hell does vanguard not know this?? They broke the damn bolts and now i have to replace the damn manifold because they won't drill the bolts out !!!!
Hello Paul, can you do a video talking about the tools needed to do an overhead and cups/injector replacement on Volvo D13? Do you know a good torque wrench that is not super expensive?

My flex pipe that’s connected to it is clogged do I need to replace the whole flex pipe?
Clogged? If it's def, you want to use regular water, it's urea (animal piss) so would washboard out perfectly. That's what I use for dozer valve line cleaning. Use new gaskets to re-seat the flex pipe(s) and check to make sure it isn't cracked
Hey I'm having issue with a d13 starts but dies seconds later.. have been told it could be the vgt actuator and turbo one or the other.. also replaced vcb valve. Do you think it can cause engine to shut off?
Hey PAUL how you doing, new subscriber, thank you sir I greatly appreciate the content, I do have a question for you, On my 2018 D13 I got about 1/4 of sod in those filters and it’s been like that for a while so I was wondering if a certain amount of sod is permissible , if so let me know because I once spent a lot of money to clean it out and about two months after that it shows on my dashboard About a 1/4 of sod still, my truck is working fine but again my concern is if a certain amount of sod is ok, Robert, ✌️

What are you torquing the installer hold down to?. and you're inserting the installer tip all the way passed the tip of the cup before removing correct.?
The installer tool he used on the video are the updated version. The one you refering to is the outdated style where the tip goes up. The new version the installer work by pushing down the tip rather pushes up.
60 ft lbs is the torque on that bolt.
Soo when it keeps saying poor def Quality or service def this may be the solution

Yes, you can, if you know what you're doing and have a torque wrench. You would need to read the valve adjustment procedure before doing it, though, to have an understanding.

Amazing in my eyes for a guy who grew up paying for everything. I'm on my 2nd volvo D13 /793,435/ 2014 780. I'm told 6k-6,500 to replace my pistons. This video says otherwise...
6k in labor or parts? Cause original pistons from Volvo if I remember correctly are around 1k each with liner may be alittle cheaper but something like that but 6 k for labor is to much
@@paulstruckrepair6016 parts and labor sir. I'm told $3,000 for parts and $3k-$3,500 for labor. They're the only shop I've let work on my truck since this time in 2019. I'm just double checking.

Volvo sells the shims individually not as a kit
Literally doing one of these right now and the back gasket keeps falling down. Never again will I work on one of these pieces of shit engines.
You can use a thin layer of Lithium grease to hold it in place, either in the exhaust manifold with two bolts or on the block.

Just don’t buy any Volvo engine....injectors fails over and over again. Buy a Volvo with Cummins is the answer. Also their warranty of 1 year at dealership is a big lie....always they gonna find an excuse to avoid paying for their crap engines.

Mack dealer or Volvo dealer they don’t sell the whole box you have to buy them individually
@@paulstruckrepair6016I’m currently doing a overhaul on a Volvo d13 same engine anyways and I can’t bar the engine over by the alternator I was able to but once I kept adjusting the valves it got hard af to turn to the point where I can’t anymore.
