I saw your channel, it is better if you upload as shorts as the algorithm will push it differently. Otherwise, you'd love to do more research into how other people like you are succeeding and learn about video creation. I would recommend looking at channels like VidIQ and think media. They essentially teach you how to UA-cam.

They are prey on baby shrimp. So if you have a shrimp tank like I do, you will notice the population declining. But if you don't, then they are just a natural part of the eco system, like mosquitos, and can be a source of food for some fish.

I had my tank infested with planaria too. I solved this problem with SL Aqua Z-1 Aquarium Bio Protector. 2 weeks of treatement (1 dose per week) and they are completely gone. I do not see any since then (it's been about 2 months). Fish, shrimps, plants were not harmed at all. However, as mentioned in the product instructions, it might be deadly for snails and I confirm that. They were moved to another tank during the treatment, and got back 2 weeks after it's been done. Nevertheless they passed away despite the fact that I made 3 half volume water changes over these 2 weeks

I had this problem too with planaria previously. The product called "No planaria" (just google it) actually works! It will not harm shrimps or fish, but will kill planaria and snails. It contains betel nut extract which is also used as a traditional de-wormer (antihelmintic) in people and there are scientific studies to back it up. I had great success with "No planaria", it killed off all planaria in my tanks, but didn't kill off all snails, the shrimp seemed unbothered. I have not had planaria return since!

It really depends on what kind of substrate you have. If it is bare glass bottom, gravel or heavily planted. The more it is an ecosystem, the more likely they are to thrive on detritus. They are also super small and nocturnal, so if you are not paying attention, like I wasn't, you won't see them. Also depends on the fish you keep. If you have bottom dwellers like Loaches, Corys, etc, they will eat the buggers in no time. These guys truly are fascinating creatures, they can regenerate like no other and is will studied in biology! Look it up. :)

A clear sign that the shrimp wasn't molting-though it likely needed to-is the visible flesh behind its head, creating a sort of white ring around its body. They tend to get this characteristic ring when molting is failing. I've read that it's due to their bodies essentially outgrowing their exoskeleton.
