    The thing I hate about modern gaming is expensive DLCs. I love Tekken, Mortal Kombat, rFactor 2 and Automobilista 2 but the DLCs killed them for me. The game itself is expensive. Now i have to pay for DLCs which cost as much as the game itself for the game to be complete. Bring back unlockable characters or cara/tracks.

    I mostly play indies nowadays, with the odd actually good AA or AAA inbetween. Dont understand me wrong, I LOVE indies, but they just cant fill the void of a AA or AAA game. Sadly we hardly see those anymore and if we do, the game is either a flop, because it doesnt appeal to the casual gamer crowd that want COD X 1000, or it actually succeeds, but the publisher/mother company decides to close them down (like Tango Gameworks and their HiFi Rush game).

    Your words are absolutely relatable, much of the modern gaming industry has become greedy and hyped. This all started back when everyone was pumped for black ops 3, and since then companies have been taking advantage by slowly introducing new and subtle features like skins etc. I remember when people had to grind in order to get diamond skins, now you pay $9.99

    I have. Points 1.most company treat gaming as product plush with greed 2. Competitive may have hurt some games like the concept of fun especially every game is a job now 3. No other games as good as from 2000 to 90s or older games There others stuff happen like unity and games act like movies Especially live service and others trend like lootbox but even then its the industry the corporate greed and trend is the reason i barely played games

    Anita Sarkeesian and the journalists that rode Naughty Dog’s dyck since 2009 won, so now western games feel more like “press X to win” movies with ugly androgynous looking female characters. at least Japan still makes fun games, both in visuals and gameplay.

    People act like guides didn't exist 20 years ago, or even 30+ years ago. People have been posting guides online since the internet became popular and there LITERALLY used to be magazines that had guides for games in them, that came out monthly and guides made for games specifically. I still have a full a55 book of final fantasy 7. A literally guide that covers 99.9% of the content in the game. Wtf are people on about? The only thing that's true, is that it's super easy to lookup a guide, but it's also super easy to not lookup a guide as well. Also, streamers don't make people play sweaty, the audience makes people play sweaty, and I'll elaborate on this. Views don't want to watch boring games, or people just be garbage at a game, they want something entertaining, and viewers reward streamers who put on a good show, which usually comes down to them playing well. Other people see this and aspire to become streamers, and how else do you compete with other sweaty streamers? Well you sweat yourself of course. A lost every single problem with modern gaming is a fan crated problem, and that includes pre orders, DLC, loot boxes and battle passes. People keep buying what the companies are selling, and as long as they keep buying, companies are going to keep selling.

  • @AndrewVaillant
    @AndrewVaillant Місяць тому

    "Just don't watch the video" is the same as "just don't play the game". If a company puts out constant crap you find unacceptable, take some accountability of their 'clean' hands and stop playing. Stop consuming the product. Banning ahri to protest a 500$ skin isn't gonna do anything. You're still playing the game. Not buying the battle pass is not how you're going to stick it to them- you have to uninstall the game Your time is their money, but it's also their kryptonite.

    The bar kept being raised an gamers wanted more instead of being contempt with the technical progress we had leading to the next game not being up to snuff so everyone kept b****** about how this game isnt as graphicaly insane as they pictured it. The old guard lost that spark for development due to burn out leading to it becoming a 9-5. Then old men saw the possible profit the industry they could gain leaving the already burnt out devs an fesh faces to come up with something that will make them $$$ nothing works as few games come an go such as old cod being seen as dlc by mw2 09 leaving the pool of imagination drying up as the industry becomes a true 9-5 no more atari dev shimmining the walls of atari hq for pacman. Gtav happened giving the old men the idea of the brand a game could have then nutting micros that got worse over time. Next gen happens showing the lake of imagination almost out while very few cultivated a flower fed water from the lake as others only kept using buckets to wash down the grime of it all. The big march of crunch draining the life of ppl who have been trained to be machines powered by the memory of what they once achived in the past. Were all to blame for this rotting corpse of a industry carried to the pyre or to a bed to rest by the very flower of immagination they cultivated with love an care in the past. Issue it the flower wants it to rest but the eternal sleep may be what it needs to be reborn once again stronger better as it once did before after being nearly buried alive in yhe 70s or 80s Idk i ended up with this. I like it

    Simple. Games are made for ADD addled brains. Out NOW, fast click buy this NOW, youtube short video NOW, next game NOW, so they are designed with that in mind. Microtransactions, early releases, don't bother fixing, spend the budget on videos that aren't even the same as the final product.

    Love how you also showed League's $500 Ahri bundle. It's unfortunately a sad reality that micro transactions are a thing now. I don't mind supporting games, but most of the games have gone too far. There are multiple reasons why games dont feel the same: 1. Everybody is older. There seems to be something to what my parents said about video games being for kids 2. Everybody is negative. Plenty of games come out that either give us what we asked for, or analyzed the way the majority of players interacted with the game, then adjusted. Dragon Age was too convoluted, so they streamlined and focused more on story decisions. Now, people act like it is the worst thing to happen to gaming and pine for the old systems (not realizing that the old systems never went away). 3. As games have made more money, developers and publishers have gotten more greedy. EA Sports used to take pride in pushing new technology. Now they just make small adjustments to their cash cows. Bethesda has maintained the same technical skill that was ok 15 years ago. Not only is it not good now, but they are trying to monetize the mods that fix their shit. 4. It is no longer niche. Games are big business now. That means more games are coming out (meaning less games potentially in common with your friends group). It also means gaming doesnt feel as special to some people. 5. Social media. You can see a lot of reactions to things now. If reactions are overwhelmingly positive or negative, that can influence how people feel about a game overall. If you are only kind of feeling good about a game, but everyone is riding its dick, you think something is wrong with you and focus on the positives. The reverse happens with highly negative reviews/reactions.

    20 years makes a big difference when it comes to anything to do with games. But it's also the same with TV and movies with the lack of decently made products and continued rehashing of old programs for newer audiences. There is no need for that and all of these big entertainment companies just want to throw out everything no matter how badly made they are. Not enough people with new ideas unfortunately. It's really up to independent games, cinema and TV to come through and it's extremely expensive to make those products in the first place so even people with great ideas can't afford to have their ideas come to fruition. PS: I like the sound of your voice too!
