British design team, British R&D team, built in Britain, using a Lola chassis with fibreglass by FGE. The only thing Ford provided was an engine and the $. I suppose it's hard to wave the stars and stripes when your car is about as American as Hugh Laurie.

Lauda missed 2 whole races and still lead by 3 points going into the race. He would have won the championship easily had he not had the crash. Hunt won, but Lauda was a class above him as a driver.

Many don’t realize the GT 40 was built designed in England, not Detroit. See Ole Enzo knew Ford was trying to accomplish, what he didn’t know was Lola was in on it.

Brilliant film

The funny part is that he still rips the car apart when they ask for an evaluation. All kinds of handling issues and problems around the track. But he's also not worried about any of that, because NOW he has a car he can work with. The lack of engine meant he couldn't push it to an acceptable level in the first place.

I love that the lab testing the engine is right next to the track.

It looks like a fight of the real knights. The best sport movie ever. Cause in my mind I see no actors, but real Niki and real James.
